Long time ago, before the age of gods, the world of Aureum was once ruled by the great 7, powerful beings thought to have attained godhood in the primordial times. They were:
Lessalia "Godess of Nature".
Attorack "Lord of the Beasts".
Ulfrigg "The Wise".
Jastor "The Ancient One".
Ponteas "God of the Sea".
Jintú "The Titan".
Kauthos "King of the Skies".
They divided the world among themselves. In verdant, were Attorack and Lessalia. In Antana, Ulfrigg and Jastor. In Midrass, Jintú and Kauthos and lastly in the great oceans of Aureum was Ponteas.
The great 7 were aslo called "the progenitors", worshiped by many of the races of Aureum as their creators and ancestors. Many of such examples were races like the elves, who often refered to themselves as the "children of nature", beliving to have descended from Lessalia herself. There's also the giants who worship both Jintú and Kauthos, or even the many magical beasts, considered to be the offspring of Attorack, gaining him his other tittle as "father of calamities".
But of course all races aren't actualy related to the 7 Gods, only some of them. Those directly related to the 7 Gods are refered as divine races, as they were born with blessings in the form of bloodline abilities, that granted them with great advantages far above the others.
This advantages would eventualy allow the divine races to reing supreme in the 3 great continents long after the 7 Gods disappeared.
And although in the world Aureum is ruled by the divine races, most of the time they're not the most numerous. A good example of it are the spirits, and the fae also known as espirits of nature. They are a diverse group of beings, and their origin is belived to be the result of the magical nature of the elements as they interact with all kinds of things, living or not through great periods of time.
Originaly, when the 7 Gods still ruled over the world, the divine races, as their descendants grew and prospered in their own land, rarely venturing outside.

As the land of the 3 continents is vast, and the distance betweend them is enormous, only in rare ocations would you find an individual of a race far from their continent of origin. Among other reasons was that the Gods themselves were very territorial, not letting outsiders into their turf, and not daring to intrude into that of another's. Leaving interactions betweend continents as rare events that occurred every few centuries or so.
Because of the different environments and races that inhabited each continent, their cultures and languages greatly varied from one another.
In the land of Antana, the Venatí are the most numerous, most predominat race in the continent, followed closly by the Prunaris. Each race owning different cultures, with the Venatí following a trivalistic lifestyle and having a society structured around large family clans, they inhabited the great fertile plains, south of the antania mountain range. The prunaris instead, inhabited the harshest lands at the north and east of the antania mountain range that divided the continent, also known as the sons of the frost, being famous for their resilence and strong bodies, a race of valiant warriors and great sailors.
In Midrass the most populous race is that of giants, beings blessed with great physical strenght and attunement towards magic, famously known for their arts of craftmanship, where in their culture, being a mason or a blacksmith is of a higher status that a warrior or a mage.
In Verdant the situation is a little different. With a great number of many races(sentient), the more numerous are ordered from the top down: there are the humans, fae, the orcs, the dauren, the darkins, the agnari and in last place the elves. Although lesser in numbers compared to the other races, elves, with their great talent for magic and their longevity, eventualy became the dominant race of the Verdant continent, unifying it under the very first biggest empire the world had ever seen. The power of the elven empire is often times attributed to their magic, belived to be the elves themselves the creators of the magic theory of the 5 elements. Elven culture is centered around magic research, with their hierachy governed by magic schoolars and mages at the very top.
Lastly but not less important are the great oceans and seas that cover most of the surface of Aureum, being domains plagued by multitude of creatures and terrifying sea beasts, but also the home of the 2 most numerous races of Aureum, the Ephymeans and the Proteans both descendants of the Sea God - Ponteas. The Ephymeans, in general, live mostly in solitude, only seen in groups when young to protect themselves from predators, and when in search of a partner, their culture is almost nonexistent as they are incredibly territorial and are described by other races as sea giants. Proteans on the other hand usualy live in comunities close to coast, they're described as sea witches, being the center of many legends, they have the ability to transform into other beings through the comsumption of their flesh, they're also highly inteligent and sociable. They also are often confused with mermans and mermaids because of their playful nature when they prank people by the coast by harassing fishermen and sailors, and altough simmilar in appearance mermaids/mermen are different espicies from proteans.
