I used [Identification skill] on the nun, to see if there was any useful information on her statut screen.

Priestess of the moon goddess and the sun god? Don’t tell me she was two timing freaking gods?!! And [Art of deception] rank A?!! Of all the priestesses I could have met, she had to be a nutcase. Fuck my luck.

I hiccuped once more, wiping my eyes dramatically. « Thank you, big sis. You’re such a kind person. Sorry for crying. »

She smiled hesitantly, her eyes filled with concern. « It’s okay, kid. Everything is alright. »

I looked down at my feet, biting my lip nervously. « I… I am really scared… God’s mission is dangerous, big sis. Can we talk privately please? »

Her expression softened further, and she gently guided me toward a soundproof room. « You can trust me, child. I swore an oath upon the sun god. Whatever it is, it’ll stay between us. »

As soon as we arrived, she locked the door behind us. I used [Identification skill] on the protective ward to make sure this place was safe.

When it gave me a positive feedback, I smiled. Good. I could drop the act and start my villain’s recruitment strategy.

« Okay. So, what did you want to tell me? » Leticia asked gently.

I smirked, looking at her with contempt. « Nothing much, sis. Just that from now on, you’re my pawn. »

She froze for a moment, her eyes widened in disbelief. « You... you... What the hell are you talking about? Is it a joke? »

« A joke? Nope. Not at all. You have officially become pawn number one. »

« You are out of your mind kid. Why would I ever be your… pawn? » she asked coldly. « If that was all you wanted to say I am leaving. »

I crossed my arms with a dark smirk. « I wouldn’t do that if I were you, Leticia. You promised the sun god you’d do anything I want after all. »

« What? When did I ever — No… This doesn’t count. I didn’t mean to… I didn’t know you’d be such a… »

When she realized she couldn’t undo her clumsily and hastily made vow, she fell silent. After a brief pause, she erupted into maniacal laughter, looking batshit crazy.

« Hahahahahahahahahahaha. Hahahaha. » Her chest heaved as she clutched her stomach in apparent hysteria, the laughter transforming into ragged, coughing fits.

Cough. Cough. Cough.

« … »

« Hello? Big sis? Leticia? Hey, are you okay? »

She continued laughing crazily, like she had totally lost her mind, breaking into coughing fits again.

Shit. Did I break her? What should I do? Kill her and find another actor?

Her laughter suddenly stopped, as if the switch had been flipped, and she glared at me with a glint of madness.

« You really did me good, huh, little shit. » She rasped hoarsely. « But if you go too far, I won’t hesitate to kill you. We will both go to hell together. »

Oh oh, was she finally revealing her true colors?

« Glad to see you again, big sis. Though you’d turned crazy from the shock. »

She growled, veins bulging along her neck. « Shitty little fucker. What the hell do you want? »

I chuckled lightly. « Nothing much sis. I swear. Don’t crease your eyebrows like that, please, you look a bit scary. »

She fumed, a vein nearly popping out of her forehead. If her glare could kill, I would’ve died ten times over.

« Last chance boy. What do you want from me? » she asked with greeted teeth.

« I want you to become an actor in the play I wrote. »

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

She looked at me quizzically, blinked twice and frowned. « Are you crazy? Making all this fuss over a play? »

I rolled my eyes. « Hey don’t call me that. This play is special to me. »

« Are you serious? »

« Yes. »

For a moment, I thought she might snap, that her anger would take over. Her face reddened, her breathing shallow. But instead of exploding, she let out a long breath. « Alright tell me what you want before I change my mind. »

« I want you to pretend to torment me and make me your slave big sis. »

« That will be easy then. I won’t even need to act, » she chuckled with a dark smile, « I want to kill you. »

« Perfect. I knew I could count on you. » I said with a big grin. « I also want you to announce that the strongest guild in the country will become god’s apostles and get exclusive access to my ability. »

« Your play seems strangely real… No don’t tell me you want me to do this shit for real? »

I blinked innocently. « I won’t tell you, big sis. »

« No way, crazy little shit. » She shouted. « There is no way in hell I am doing this. »

« Yes way sis. You don’t have a choice. » I said cheerfully. « Unless you want to be rejected by the sun god lose your power and be damned for all eternity. »

« You want me to fabricate GOD’S words. This is BLASPHEMY, little fucker. »

I shrugged nonchalantly. « Yes but if the sun god doesn’t know it doesn’t matter. »

« I am absolutely speechless. What make you think asking a priestess to sin is a good idea? »

« Big sis, I know you are also the moon’s goddess priestess. » I answered with a smirk. « Why are you so reluctant about this? You have already sinned by swearing allegiance toward two gods at the same time. »

Leticia froze. Her face drained of color, and her eyes widened further than I thought possible. « How did you find out? »

I stared at her blankly, unable to tell if she was seriously expecting an answer to such an obvious question.

« … »

We looked at each other in silence for a long time. Alright so she really didn’t know.

I raised my hands up in mock surrender. « I used the identification skill on you. »

She blinked, clearly not expecting that. « What? But this should be impossible. The moon goddess said that even the sun god wouldn’t know. A mortal’s skill shouldn’t have worked on me. »

« Well, it did, » I replied simply, as though that explanation cleared it all up.

« Tch. Just my luck getting caught by a psycho kid when I’d finally infiltrated the sun’s god church. The moon goddess just told me not to make an enemy out of you… Who the hell are you kid? »

I raised my brow at her. « Just a passerby, sis. Alright since you have agreed let’s start our play. »

She sighed and glared at me with resentment. « Can you at least hide my identity from the sun god? »

« Your goddess already helped you before. Why don’t you ask her? »

« Stingy boy, » she muttered under her breath.

« Thanks for the compliment. Jokes aside do you want to sit down to finish our conversation more comfortably? »

« Let’s do that. My neck’s starting to hurt from looking down at you. »

I smiled and gestured toward the nearby transparent coffee table, where a buffet of muffins, cookies, macaroons, canelés and brownies was waiting for whoever was supposed to come here. « Ladies first. »

She smirked while sating down on a plush chair, « Make yourself at home boy. Just so you know you aren’t intruding upon my private space at all. » she said while eating a purple macaron.

I sat down on the chair facing hers, picking up a green macaron, bitting into it slowly, savoring the crisp shell and nutty flavor.

« So first we need to give your character a background and an agenda. You can’t pop out of thin air. » I said while licking the crumbs of macaroons remaining on my fingers, « they are delicious by the way, hat off to the chef. »

« I made them kid, thanks for the compliment, but they weren’t meant for you. I wanted to offer them to my superior to butter up to her. You wasted an entire morning of hard work. »

I coughed, trying to recover from the shock, my face turning red. She made these for her superior? No. This wasn’t the time to dwell on her strange priorities.

« Uh, sorry about that. I’ll make it up to you somehow. But for now, let’s focus on the play. » I tried to steer the conversation back to business.

She narrowed her eyes but stayed calm.« You sure you want to keep pushing this? I’m not exactly known for my acting skills, kid. »

I smiled, carefully wiping my mouth with a napkin. “Oh, I think you’ll do just fine, your [Art of Deception] is rank A. Besides, who else could pull off the role of the villainess as perfectly as you? You’ve got the charm, the danger, and the… ‘crazy lady’ vibes.”

Leticia narrowed her eyes while chewing on another macaron. “You’re pushing your luck, boy.”

« Hey it’s a compliment you know, you are sexy and dangerous at the same time. »

Her face contorted slightly in disbelief, and she stared at me for a moment longer.

« Are you trying to hit on me now? » she asked mildly amused, « you are a bit too young for that, kid. Besides I don’t think you will ever get yourself a girlfriend with that twisted personality of yours. »

I grinned. « Don’t worry about that, I am quite good at acting. I can get one anytime. »

« And you are proud of it, huh. » she scoffed in disgust, shaking her head. « You are truly sick kid, why don’t you get some mental counseling before it’s too late? »

I shrugged nonchalantly, « I did sis. I did. But my psychiatrist ended up committing suicide on our third meeting. Apparently my story was too much for him… »

« The hell, » she muttered under her breath. « Okay don’t tell me anything about you. I don’t want to know. »

I chuckled lightly. « Alright. Let’s go back on the main subject. First, you will start by opening a shop where you will « sell wishes » by making use of my abilities. You will pretend I am your slave. » I began, folding my sleeve to show her my bare skin. « See this mark here? This is a fake slave mark. »

« Alright, you really came prepared, » she admitted with a shrug. « But why do you want to ruin my reputation so badly? What the hell do you have against me? »

I titled my head slightly. « Nothing, I just have a goal to accomplish. If I didn’t meet you, I would have asked someone else. »

The vein on her forehead threatened to pop up again.

« So you mean I am just an unlucky passerby, huh. » She said through greeted teeth. « I take back what I said about you needing counseling fucking psycho. »

I laughed. « Thanks for the compliment, sis. »

Ding!

The system nods, saying she is damn right, you are a fucking psychopath.

I love you too little thing. I fell in love with your colorful vocabulary from our very first encounter.

The system growls, saying the feeling isn’t mutual.

Really you are breaking my heart. Are you two timing me behind my back?

The system is looking through its database to understand what you mean […] the system rages, saying it will never forgive you.

You really are funny, little prick.
