Chapter Two
Quick Note: This is a short chapter. It just sets the background for the main story.
"Wait how much is a tad, you motherf-" I didn't have any time to finish my sentence as pain streaked through every molecule of my body. You know how I was being tortured earlier by Azazel? Well this was worse. How much worse? Hmm, take that pain, multiply it my a thousand. That's not even close. It felt as if every fiber of my being was being ripped to shreds, my very soul torn asunder and molded again. The pain was so excruciating, I couldn't even scream. After some time, how much I don't know, the pain stopped. I opened my eyes slowly and looked around. I was no longer in the abyss but rather, a temple of some sort. I was situated on top of a stone altar, surrounded by pillars stretching as far as the I could see. The only reason I could see was thanks to the dim light that pervaded throughout the stone composing the temple. Great, now just where the hell am I? Stepping off the altar, I decided to look around, however, I didn't get far when suddenly chills began running down my spine. Spinning quickly to face the direction of the altar, I saw the figure from before. Even with the light from the stone, I couldn't make out his face. It was like a fire, constantly shifting and moving, never settling. "Scared ya, did I?" he asked as he broke into a maniacal laugh. "Hardly, I just felt someone strong materialize out of thin air behind me. What did you want me to do, bend over?" The man once again burst into laughter. "Well now, such unexpected humour! Unfortunately we can't piss into the wind all day, we need to get down to business." I doubt this guy could ever get truly serious. It felt like he was always laughing at some joke only he understood. "So how does it feel to be a free man?" "It feels like I left my collar for a harness." Smiling, the man said "Oh don't worry your free as a bird. A heroic, god slaying, contract breaking, beautiful bird. Or you will be."
"Wait what the hell do you mean, I will be? I thought you said I was free!" "You are, you are my boy! There is just one slight problem that I may of forgot to mention." "I'm going to kill you you know." "Relax, relax, its nothing huge. You of all people should know the terms of the contract you were under, right?" "So what?" "And you know the only two ways of breaking said contract right? And since Azazel isn't dead, that must mean..." "You son of a bitch, did you fucking kill me?" I was pissed. I mean who wouldn't be when you found out you just got killed? "What the fuck am I supposed to do now? Haunt him to death?" "See, this is why I don't tell people things. Your only dead...temporarily." "Oh goody." "You see my boy, I actually did you a big favour. Right now, Azazel knows only that someone powerful appeared and killed you. He won't expect you to be doing much of well...anything really." "So are you going to teleport me to him now or what?" "Oh. Yes. About that..." "Goddamn it, what now?" I asked, my anger surging even higher. "Maybe I should start by killing you huh?" He rolled his eyes. "Oh don't be such a cry baby. Since your dead, you have no body. So, in order to get a body, and thus, be able to kill Azazel, I'm going to have to find you a body." "Reincarnation? Great so I'm going from a dead man to a baby? Man life just keeps getting better." "Not quite. Fortunately for you, I'm not one of those pretender gods that can only do a measly reincarnation. Instead, I shall be placing you in a body that is now...vacant would be the word."

"A dead guy?" He sighed. "Yes, if you want to put it that way. Its not all about you, ya know! I have to sort through millions and millions of worlds, through trillions of people, just to find a good body to put you in. One far away from Azazel gaze. A new land would be best. One in which harems prevail and breasts are bountiful!" "What the hell does that have to do with anything?" "Oh nothing, I just thought I'd help you. I mean centuries of killing is gotta take its toll huh?" I didn't reply. Maybe this guy isn't all bad. "Anyway, since your body isn't going to be used to your power, your basically going to have to start from scratch." "Wait, from level one! What the hell, how am I supposed to raise my stats to 30000 again? That will take so long, Azazel will have probably already died." "Oh no my boy, you see, your stats are still with you, a part of your soul, salvaged by me (your welcome cough). You only need to level up your body to use your full potential. Anything you learned yourself and wasn't given to you by the god pretenders, you'll be able to learn again using a unique ability I'm going to give you. You won't be your usual overpowered self right away, but you'll be killin gods in no time!" "Oh I just can't wait." "Now I have other business to attend to so I'll be sending you off now. Oh, I almost forgot. I am Loki, the trickster god." He smiles wickedly and I can't even get a reply out before the world fades to black.
