Chapter 3
After I leave I quickly make my way to the exit wanting to enjoy the world I’ve missed out on for a year. At my speed it only takes me moments to get to the exit. Leaving the sight outside only slightly surprises me. It’s a meadow just like the training center. However with my sixth sense I can see that this meadow only goes on for a mile in every direction.
However after that there are vast differences. Directly in front of me is a normal town. The majority of it seems to be made of wood and is pretty bustling with people. Off to my left is a town on an ocean. It looks like the town is literally made out of solid water and is inhabited by people and what looks like mermaids. Honestly it’s pretty intriguing. To my right is a city made out of earth. It kind of look like a giant mountain turned into a city however something seems to be blocking me from looking at the inhabitants.
I weigh my choices on one hand those other cities are pretty interesting on the other hand I could use some information about the world I currently live in and the normal town would be best for that. Hmm for now I’ll go learn the information of what I missed the past year and then go enjoy myself at the other towns.
After experimenting on my muscles for the past year travelling a mile doesn’t even take me a minute. Funny thing about my muscles instead of being bulky there all lean and compressed. It took a while to learn which muscles to increase to get such an effect but I worked it out. I’ve also increased every muscle on my body so I have relatively no fat, but to others I probably just look like a really muscled skinny guy.
As for my face I completely redid it. Before I had spiky hair, brown eyes and a round face. I wouldn’t say I was handsome but I guess I was relatively above average. Now I have a sharp jaw line, spiky hair, and heterochromia eyes. As in my eyes completely change colors. Sometimes hazel, blue, purple, violet you name it. I only let it change every couple hours though that way I’ll avoid attention. However that’s going to be pretty hard now that I look like a complete stud. Frankly I’m not even sure how I came out this way.
Well anyway I had finally arrived at the town and it looked just like a fantasy. The people were all bustling about just like a normal town but there were some distinct differences. Like some guy was mad entirely out of rock, a girl with her hair on fire, some kid who couldn’t be older than twelve was flying from roof to roof of stores delivering packages.
There were two men who looked exactly alike yelling “spirit stones only fifteen crystals”. A woman yelling “Will enchant weapons, best enchantress in town get your weapons enchanted while it’s still cheap “followed by a rush of people going to her stall.
I thought the speed I was going would attract a bit of attention when I showed up. I only got a few glances and I heard comments like another speedster and he looks cute from girls passing buy. First I need a source of information and I knew just how to get it.
By randomly walking around, and that’s what I did I walked and looked at the sights. It’s actually amazing that all this was made in a year. I mean this town had everything from some glowing rocks that were called Holo-phones that let you see who you were talking to Holo-maps that let you could actually picture where you wanted to go and the map would show you a hologram of it.
I’m currently standing in front of said Holo-map trying to make the map work so I can find the portal to the next world when I’m rudely interrupted by the owner of said map.
“Excuse me if you’re not going to buy it then could you leave.”
Glancing at the owner of the voice I saw a red haired girl with short hair, freckles and big brown eyes, hmm she’s actually quite cute.
“Ah yes could you be so kind as to point me in the direction of the portal that would be great.”
She raises her eye brow “How can you not know where the portal is they made a huge deal when they found it. You must’ve been living under a rock somewhere.”
“Yeah I’ve been training. Haven’t had a chance to really explore yet so it would be amazing if you could tell me where it is” I said in my nicest voice.
She actually looks a bit freaked out from my nice voice which honestly isn’t surprising. I remember when I used it on one of my rowdier victims one time and to my shock she started to scream more. I’ve never been good at socializing it’s one of the reasons I was a loner.
“Sure just don’t talk like that again also you have to buy a map” she adds huuriedly.
“I can do the first thing but I kind of don’t have any money”. I say with an awkward grin.
“Of course you don’t” she says voice dripping with sarcasm. “No money no idea where the portal is your just one unlucky little soul aren’t you.”
I’m actually pretty tempted to take the map and kill her but I've always been a levelheaded guy so I won’t do that instead I’ll wait until tonight and kill her I think walking away from the stand.
After leaving the rude girl and walking for a bit a girl approached me. She looked to be around thirteen or so and was crying looking ruffled.
“Help there hurting my older brother she says tears streaming down her face.”
Honesty I can already guess where this is going but as this will be a good chance. I play the good guy for a bit. Patting her shoulder I deliver the cliché line “I’ll help tell me where he is.”
She actually looks surprised but she points at an alleyway and starts walking toward it motioning me to take the lead. As we get in the alleyway I notice it’s big, and has several exits breaking down into paths nut no brother I put on my sixth sense and of course I see people hiding in the paths.
“Good job” says a deep voice.
Looking behind me I see the girl being given what looks like crystals and then without even casting me a glance she runs out leaving me with a giant dude with a pure black mask. At this moment everybody steps out of the exits in the alleyway and I’m surrounded by if my count is correct which it always is fourteen people.
“Listen man all you have to do is drop the threads and you’re free to go”

Looking down at my clothes I can understand why he would want them. I was wearing plain black plants and a blueish black shirt. However they were seamless and looked like it was made out of silk. Over that I had a jacket but it shined metallically. Lastly were my shoes which looked like an expensive pair of Sneakers and were a mixture of metallic blue and black. Al in all I looked badass.
The secret though is that all these clothes were made out of my skin and the metallic colors that probably ignited this attack were just my bones. Of course all my clothes were reinforced with my bones but I had to work extra-long on getting that metallic color.
Frankly I knew the girl was lying about her brother and that there were people waiting for me before I even walked into the alley. Why did I come in anyway? It’s obvious really to gather information.
“No.”
“Listen man no one will be able to hear you we got a barrier set up over the whole alley. So just drop the clothes and be on your way.”
“Is the barrier what’s making the alleyway seem bigger” I say looking at the alleyway obvious in size then from when I came in.
“Yeah now are you going to drop the clothes or are me and my friends going to have to persuade you.”
Grinning I reply “I think I’m going to need some persuading.”
He grins back “I’m glad to do the persuading. Everybody attack!”
Instantly I turn on my sixth sense and look at all their positions. Then from the side I feel somebody creeping up on me even though I don’t see anybody there. I grin then rush to where he is nails already extended any cut his throat in half.
Before he falls I grab his arm and throw him at the nearest person.
They already put a shield up and the body crashes into it. To bad when I slit his throat I turned him into a bomb by messing with his chemicals.
BOOM!
The shield person and someone next to them are instantly blown to bits.
“Eleven left c’mon someone give me a challenge.” Too bad I’m not waiting for one I think rushing into the nearest person. They try to stop me buy making boulders out of thin air and throwing them at me but at my speed it barely even registers as a threat. Within seconds I’m in front of them but instead of using my nails I extend a bone out of my wrist and stab it straight through his heart.
”Ten left.”
Seeing an attack come from rear flank I slightly bend and it fly’s past me but miscalculating it brushes past my cheek leaving a small cut.
Turning around I see someone hovering balls of water that are spinning at insane speeds. Not even waiting for their next attack I flick the blood off my finger after making it sharper and it passes through there skull.
“Nine”
By now everyone has already spread across the alley. Except for the first guy I saw give the girl the money but me and him probably have the same idea. Saving each other for when the small fry are dead.
I’m actually getting tired of this fight so I start morphing my body. First my feet into a more cat like shape increasing agility of course the shoes originally being part of my skin morph with them Then I retract my bones and morph my hands into claws and bend down just like a cheetah would and strike.
I move faster than ever just as someone decided to shoot a flame thrower at me from their hands, but instead of attacking them I jump on the wall running on it on fours just like an animal. I bounce off the wall and changing my teeth into fangs bite off their throat. Before they even hit the floor I’m jumping on to the next person and then back to the wall then next then wall. I’ve already taken out six before someone had the bright idea to collapse the wall I was running on.
The wall collapsed right on top of me and with my sixth sense I saw the remaining three with grins on their faces thinking they had killed me. The walls didn’t even hurt me being as though I was harder than steel and when I emerged from the rubble back into my regular form. I could tell they were shocked.
“Three.”
They nodded their heads and simultaneously attacked me. One shot blades made of shadow at me and the other sent giant extremely sharp rocks at me. This time I didn’t even bother to dodge and let the attacks hit me full on.
“Bang!”
The rocks didn’t even scratch me but surprisingly the shadows did. As a reward I used the blood to kill the one who sent the rocks by flinging blood through their head while I let the other off with just flinging it through the arms and legs so they couldn’t move. Of course my wounds instantly healed themselves.
After that I turned to the giant guy who hadn’t moved the entire time.
“One left hope you’re ready.”
“You’re not going to kill the other one.”
“Nope as a gift for injuring me I’m going to let them live.”
I was hoping for some more banter but what felt like a giant wall rammed into me. Realizing he was the one using the barriers I decided to use my sixth sense, I was able to dodge the next one, but they kept on coming till I was starting to feel my bones crack a little. They would regenerate but the process kept repeating and it was irritating.
Enough is enough. I put my hands out blocking the barriers but my arms cracked from the pressure. Ignoring the pain I used that moment to spread them out. I morphed my skin and black wings as long as my body spread out from my back and with one great flap I flew into the sky.
He looked frustrated at that and I knew he couldn’t reach me and so did he.
“So what if I can’t reach, you can’t get through my barriers so what are you going to-
Before he finished one of the people I killed got up and started strangling him I took that moment to fly down and slit his throat with my nails. Releasing my control over the dead guy’s blood which I was using to move him I walked over to the one I didn’t kill.
Removing there mask I saw a familiar sight the bubble gum haired crazy eyed girl from the room with the giant head.
Before I could even respond she kissed me.
