Over the next few days, John split his Clan's time between hunting, gathering, and building. Most of the building was done by John himself, with some minor assistance from Clay. The Baby Goblin seemed to enjoy the work, and every day that passed he got better at it.
John also got his first evolved Goblin, then another the next day. Neither even tried to fight for the position of Clan Head, having seen John's fire and deciding not it was not worth dying over. He now had two Adult Goblins and three Goblin Infants. He had also enquired about the next batch of Goblins to the Chief, who said they were born once every two weeks during the summer, but only once every two months during the rest of the year to prevent the breeders from dying.
The two adults mainly now acted as bodyguards, only allowed to assist in combat and not score any kills to allow the others to evolve. They were displeased by this but were soon sated by John's newest invention. A very simple blackberry paste was put on the Half-Blood Rabbits to give it a better taste. It was a simple mix of crushed blackberries and honey. The honey was easy to gather with his fire magic and a boon for their food supply.
The Mage was now ready to move on to his next step, making proper weapons and some kind of armor. The fur of the Half-Blood Rabbits was stockpiling up, and he was sick of being naked. They had plenty of twine now too, Clay had figured it out and was on twine production when not hunting.
Hello again! It's me! The Human System! I have returned! I have spent days working over the hot stove to produce you a very unique system that I totally didn't rip off the Hero System for.
Nah, I totally did. I call it the Demon Lord System. Ominus huh? Well, it's not like anyone other than you, my brother and I will ever know the name of the System, but still. It's cool. Anywho, you seem to be doing well. Still butt naked I see. But you got a cool Title I see. Goblin Leader. Very impressive. Totally not an F+ ranked title that holds no actual power outside the weakest of monsters. Not at all.
Heh. Anyway, Monster Bro is in charge of your new System. I can't be seen interacting with you anymore. Surprising that my manager hasn't already smited you, to be honest. Luckily Monster System gets a lot less micromanagement, so you should be fine under his watch. I know I'm not giving you a chance to respond and all, sending this in a giant text box, but that's for our safety. It's already uploaded into your soul. Just use the normal controls and it will do its thing. I also gave you a gift as a bit of an apology for being so rude when you died.
Lots of love - Human system. <3
John stared at the text box. He had to read it twice just to make sure he was getting it all. Some of the implications made were worrying. The Systems had a boss? Was it the Gods, but the System said before that they got their power from it. So that meant that there was something above the Systems, the Gods, and perhaps even the world.
The mage decided to put that all out of his mind for the moment. He needed to focus on the here and now, not the future. His life was still in danger. Bugbears were about, the starving wolves were getting closer, and the other Tribes were eager for the destruction of his Tribe. Not to mention the Bloody Axes were acting up again and fucking with his shit. He needed to look at his new System and learn it, then make some weapons and armor.

John was tempted to not. He really was. He knew the H system wanted to help, but so far it had been a real pain in the ass. With a sigh of defeat, he followed the H System's orders.

Character Sheet Minions Land Controlled Spells
Well, that sure was interesting. The character Sheet was obvious, he already saw that. But Minions, Land Controlled, and Spells was new. Diving in headfirst, he selected Minions.
Minions 5/10 Adult Goblins 2 Goblin Infants 3 Special Minions 0/1
It turned out to be an easier and more organized version of his Goblin Leader Title. Useful for when he got more Goblins under his control, but overall useless right now.
Land Controlled Goblin Cave (Location within Endless Forrest) Partial. Three buildings and the land surrounding them. Endless Forrest Minimal. A spot by a minor river and a few trees.
That was also useless. If he did become the Demon King as the H System wanted, it would be useful to give out lands to his commanders to rule in his name, making it easier to remember who owned what, or even just to know where to collect taxes from without treading on anyone toes.
The mage shook his head. Monsters don't know what taxes are, and he didn't plan on becoming the Demon King. Useless. He moved on.
Spells The First Flame Burning Touch Cone of Fire
Now that was useful. He mentally clicked on a spell and it brought up all the information that had appeared when he got it. Finally, something useful from the H System.
Cone of Fire Fire shoots from the hands of the caster, forming a cone of flames. The more mana pushed into the spell, the larger the cone shall be. Mana 5/sec, Base
John was ecstatic at this discovery. It may seem simple at first, but it was basically a portable spellbook. As mages learned more spells, they eventually had to create a spellbook. It was an imprint of their soul that put all their spells and descriptions on paper. They had to study it to make sure they didn't forget any spells that could be useful either in battle or out of it. Though if anyone stole it, they could read it and learn spells from it.
That is how most spells are taught, by imprinting singular spells onto paper and learning off it. This however meant you often had three or four spells that all did the same thing with minor variations, thus the need for spellbooks. With this though, he wouldn't need to find paper or make a spell book.
Climbing out of his private lean-to, John was now ready to face the day. Dawn was rising and he had a lot to do. It was time to make pants.
