(Those are our nicknames made by Reerah)

“Well, if you are going to be here, you need to learn the rules! Rule I, always listen to The Master. Rule II-VIII, follow Rule I!”

Today, Marigold Elementary is having a special speaker come and show them the importance of this town, which wasn't surprising; it happened every month on the 17th. There would be some elderly old guy reading a scroll of an unknown language no one else could understand but the speaker themselves. They’ve heard it thousands of times, but still was entertained.

“Rule IX, never question reality. If you do, you will lose your mind. Your entire world can end with one, specific thought. Meanwhile, life would keep on going around you.”

“Why?”

Therana would ask the questions no one wanted to answer, but the fear of not wanting to answer them made Therana want to ask even more.

“Well, The Master made it that way. Questions are confusing anyways, so worrying about things that will never affect you are stupid to think about. The Master just makes it so we don’t get caught up in those thoughts.”

“But why? Questions that give answers can unlock doors and expand the horizons of our current knowledge. Questioning things is the first step to finding answers. And who is this ‘Master’? Have you met them? Have you or anyone you know seen them?”

Therana asked this every time but no one is willing to gave her a solid answer. The closest she’s ever gotten was “It’s out of my control!”, “I don’t have to answer that!”, “I just believe in faith of The Master!”, and an “I don’t know!”, was conspicuously a lie. She concluded they were hiding something. The old man make up excuses so they don’t have to answer questions. This otherwise same old reader had given her an answer she didn’t expect.

“What’s your name girl?”

“Lucy, but I prefer Therana.”

“Well, Lucy, I can tell you this. Stay out of it. I haven’t seen The Master because their immense power would kill me in an instant. But if you really want information on the master, you can look in the new museum dedicated to The Master. It opens today.”

This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it

Therana was intrigued by the idea of a museum of The Master. For the rest of the day, all she thought about was what could be in the museum.

“Maps to any locations? Any pictures or artifacts of The Master? Or maybe some people who saw The Master!”

After the two hours of school, which felt like two years, she rushed over to the new museum to check things out. Once she got there, all she could see were stories. Adults were telling young children of The Master and all they've done while the rest of the people read books and talked about The Master.

“Some museum,” Therana thought, “all they have is books of legends! There's not even any physical proof of The Master.”

Then, an old worker undoubtedly in his 80s comes walking up on a stage. He had a cyan jumpsuit on with a red name tag on that said Bill. His long, gray beard dragged on the floor as he was walking up. Suddenly, all the lights turned off but one spotlight shining on him. All eyes were on him as he starts to read off of a yellow note paper. After a long moment of silence, he started to speak.

“Greetings all of you. Today, I am here to discuss The Master to you all.”

“Oh great,” Therana thought, “another old guy speaking of ‘The Master’ and how great he is!”

Therana was then put in a shock when he said this.

“A map has fallen! It's shows the whereabouts of something from another planet. The Master’s Point… I wanted to show you to commemorate this momentousness occasion of The Master. It will sit in this museum on a podium made of solid gold until the end of this town. Thank you all.”

A roar of the audience and a boom of hands clapping together rang threw the halls of the museum and no one quiet. Not even Therana was disappointed with the information. This is when she began plotting a plan to get that paper.

Therana wasn't a violent person. In fact, she hated the idea of conflict and would always decided to take the peaceful way out in any situation. She kindly asked the old man if she could see the map.

“Mr. Bill, can I please see this map? I'm very curious to see where The Master is.”

Unexpectedly, Bill wasn't just going to let a 12 year old girl see where The Master is.

“Sorry girl, but only those who are worthy can see it. But, I will display it tonight if you want to get a better look.”

Therana was ok with that. She knew that she would have to be sneaky in order to discover anything, but she was willing to try. It was better than nothing. So, a couple hours later, she finds herself going to the museum.

Right outside of where she was walking, she spots a weird half human half cat creature in a black hoodie running the opposite way of where she was going. Suddenly, he stops right in front of her. The mysterious hybrid takes off her hood to see Therana. Her crystal blue eyes and cat ears immediately attract Therana’s attention. Then, the cat human speaks…

This is part 1 my friends... it will continue later... until then don't loose your reality or else...
