Hello! While I feel that putting this story on a hiatus will leave me with some regrets, I believe it is the right thing to do in order to improve this story. Apologies for the yapping.

I considered leaving this as just a comment on the last chapter, but I felt that those who have already read the latest chapter may be left with some negative emotions in the case that they were expecting another chapter. I am deeply grateful for those who have read my story, especially since this is the first story I have ever released for others to read. "The Ghost Slime Homunculus," started as me just toying around with the LitRPG genre after seeing how many of this genre was on the Royalroad site, but it eventually led to me making an impulsive decision to release a story that I had no initial dedication to in the first place. I do intend on posting more chapters of my works, but I will be taking the proper steps to ensure that I am able to give the quality I want and tell the story I want to tell. Even the title of this story was impulsive, being made on the spot and without much thought. I believe that this story does have potential, but in order for it to be realized I feel the need to cut the story short. The first arc of this story is a perfect example of this project's potential, despite it being an entirely on-the-spot arc that didn't hold much substance in my eyes. If given the time, I truly believe that I can turn the bland and 2D personalities of Lyos, Ser, Gourd, and even Pier into something I can be proud of which is why I am stopping this here. I am aware that few people may read this and fewer may care, but for those that enjoyed this story in spite of its shortcomings--thank you for reading. I truly hope you will check back in when I return with a story I truly want to tell.
