The Blood of the Gods

The Blood of the Gods

There is a legend that is passed from generation to generation. It is said that our clan was created to fight the darkness that will spread throughout the world and give hope back to the people. After a great war between heaven and hell, God decided that in order to defeat the darkness he would need someone with the same power as himself had to help him. So God sent Michael and Gabriel out to bring back two gods of different realms to him. Michael was sent out after a god that was subjective as he was powerful. Gabriel was sent out after a god that was a protector of all worlds past and present.

Michael was sent to Greece where he was to enter Olympus. Michael with respect landed at the front gate of Olympus. He yelled “Hello!!!” No one answered for a moment. As Michael went to touch the gate a figure stood behind the gate. “Please for your own safety do not touch the gate” replied a beautiful woman dressed in white robes. “I have never seen your kind before. What is your business here?” asked the woman. “I am Michael, Archangel of heaven. I have come on an urgent matter to see Zeus.” “I am Aphrodite, daughter of Zeus.” As the gate flew open, she motioned him to follow her. As they approached the great hall, he noticed that everyone was there waiting for him.

There were three giant men standing in front of three even bigger thrones. The men looked almost identical. The man in the middle yells “everyone quiet and sit. What brings an angel to our realm?” “I have come to ask for you to accompany me to heaven to speak to God himself. There is a matter of great importance that needs to be discussed.” says Michael. “How dare you enter here and demand my father to go with you!” yells Ares. All of a sudden Poseidon smacks Ares in the back of the head. “Silence you fool.” replied Poseidon.

As Zeus stands and starts to walk toward Michael, he does not move. Michael stood perfectly still with his wings folded down his back. “Why do you not kneel before me?” asked Zeus. “I only kneel before my one and only god. Would you like it if your children bowed to my god?” says Michael. With a laugh that sounded like thunder, he put his hand on Michael's shoulder. “How is my friend these days?” asked Zeus. “I am doing well my friend,” replied Michael. “I will accompany you, my friend, and meet with the god that you respect so much.” said Zeus. “Father may I go?” asked Aphrodite. “I will bring Aphrodite with me,” said Zeus.

Gabriel was sent to Asgard where he would speak to Odin. He approached the great Hall of Valhalla, Thor flew toward him. Gabriel stopped and approached Thor. “Who are you and how did you get here?” asked Thor. “I am Archangel Gabriel, and I am here to see your father, Odin. Can you please escort me to him? I am unarmed and would like to deliver a message to him.” Replied Gabriel. “Very well follow me and do not leave my side!” shouted Thor as he began to fly off. With a smile, Gabriel followed Thor into the great hall and in front of Odin. As did Michael; so did Gabriel. He did not bow to Odin. “I have come here, old friend, to escort you to heaven to speak to God himself,” said Gabriel softly. “I knew you would come to see me, but hoped it would have been on better terms.” replied Odin. “Father, do you know him?” asked Thor. “Yes I knew him when my father ruled, and before you were born. He has not aged one bit either. Why does your god want to speak with me?” replied Odin. “I do not know. I was sent here to ask and to tell you it is about urgent matters, and that you would know already.” said Gabriel. “I will accompany you. Under one condition, Thor comes with me.” said Odin. “Very well, he may accompany you,” said Gabriel.

It seemed like faith, as both Michael and Gabriel made it to the gates of heaven at the same time. Instantly, Thor and Aphrodite were drawn to each other. Michael and Gabriel escorted the four gods to the entrance of the Heavenly Hall. As instructed the archangels, Zeus, and Odin went into the Hall. God was there to meet them in an ethereal, human shaped figure. God began to explain that the Faith that the humans have put into the gods would eventually wane, and we shall lose the power of faith. “We all know what will happen when that time comes,” said God. “That is all said and good, but was that the only reason that you called for us three realms to meet?” replied Odin. “With me giving up my corporal body, I have the ability to see the future.” Said God. “So you gave much more than I, " said Odin. “It is not always a good thing to know the future,” said Zeus. “There will be a time that we shall not be here and the human world will be plunged into chaos,” said God. This must be after my death,” repided Odin in a concerning manner. “This was what I was worried about since I could only trap the titans and not destroy them,” complained Zeus. “ I can say for certain that the tragedy that I have discerned is not from the Titans,” said God. “ I can tell you that Rhea, your mother, is still alive and in the realm of Hindu. You can find her with VishwaKarma,” said God.
