A bandit raid goes wrong, putting the bandit Thera and her father in danger. It is only through striking a deal with her captors that she has the chance to escape and forge a new life for herself. Story explores the relationship between Thera and her father, as well as Thera's new relationship with the General she now serves. Story is told in parts. Chapters have two parts in them, except for the final chapter which has only one part.
