Chapter One: Discovery and Confusion

Roku awoke to a faint blue light shining across his face. As he opened his eyes he saw a similar light shimmering across the dirt walls like a reflection of a pool of water.

"Wait, dirt? Aren't I dead?" He thought

He looked around the room to find the source of the light but failed... Until he looked down.

"What the fuck! Where is my body! Where am I?"

Where his body should have been there was instead a clear crystal with a blue... something, free flowing inside. The crystal was spherical and roughly the size of a fist bobbing around a meter off the ground. The room itself was not large. Being only about two meters across in any direction.

Now this may seem inoppurotune, but just as Roku was beginning to figure out his situation. A little bug popped through the wall in front of him.

"Oh shit, what is that!"

Two things to note of before we continue. The first being that this bug was not familiar to our dashing hero, nor particularly little for that matter. It looked like a centipede but was around two feet in length and the width of a small dog or cat. Other than just the size of it the bug had two eyes on top of two thin stalks almost like antennae, as well as two shovel like appendages in front of it.

If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

The second point being that until now, Roku had not tried to move. For a very logical reason, seeing as he had no body. So when his point of view suddenly changed towards the back of the space, he was surprised.

"Oh, who would have thought. Nono, go away, oh my word..."

The bug could no see Roku, and instead was focused on the crystal in the center of the room. It had slowly crept out of the hole it had dug. It scuttled around the room attempting to get closer to the gem. And in doing so fully taught a now very scared Roku how to move around in his new state. Albiet with lots of yelling and profanity from the later party.

After a solid ten minutes had passed Roku realized the centimole, as he named it, had not noticed him. So he instead started attempting to kill it. Which was equally as fruitless.

What he found he could do however was take chunks out chunks of dirt. He had no clue where they went, but he could take them out nonetheless. The bug, at the sight of the holes appearing in the ground, started trying to reach the crystal with greater effort. As well as digging more holes of its own.

When our intelligent MC finally decided to end his endeavor. He sat in at one edge of the room and took to watching the centimole instead. It soon dug itself another hole, and didn't come out again. Now by himself, he had the time to take look at his surroundings and gather himself. It was after a few minutes of this that he noticed a small box in the corner of his vision.
