The Unbridled Power of Divinity

The Unbridled Power of Divinity

The pale-blue electricity burned away his cloak, revealing the light of the godly power etched onto his body as his light-gray hair shifted, spiking up from the voltage and turning to a glowing, white complexion that matched the divine lightning.

He stood there now, silent yet peering at his foe with eyes imbued with divine authority, surrounded by sparks of the unequaled electricity.

Constantine kept his guard high for a moment as sweat dripped from his chin before stomping down and powering up, “Don’t get cocky now. I–!”

Before the figure could even finish speaking, Jett waved his hand, releasing a booming shock wave that mirrored the thunder of a godly storm, blowing Constantine back with almighty winds.

“Gah–!” Constantine let out.

Just as the golden-haired reincarnator caught himself, nearly stumbling upon the grass, swift lightning bolts jabbed against his body harshly, striking his shoulder and torso multiple times.

“Nngh…!” Constantine winced.

Each hit was powerful, yet these were only warnings from the summoner who wielded the godly power, merely pointing a single finger towards Constantine which aimed such attacks.

“...That’s how it is, huh? Fine, I’ll admit it,” Constantine said low, gripping his armor before tearing it off, “--I underestimated you. I’ll reprimand that mistake right now by going all-out.”

Heat soared directly around Constantine as the luscious grass around his feet ignited, burning away as waves of such heat propelled outward, causing his golden tufts to sway before taking a fiery radiance itself.

“Up until now, I’ve withheld my own system,” Constantine admitted, “I’ll show it to you right now–my ‘Solar System’.”

Those words were followed by the activation of the vicious reincarnator’s system, manifesting itself through an otherworldly heat that melted the ground around him with a single pulse, shifting the soil into magma through unstable energy rippling through the field.

Forsaking his quartz armor as it too, melted away in the pool of molten ground around himself, Constantine wore nothing but his scarlet, sun-symbolled cape as it burned, but didn’t fade. The figure’s body became etched with tattoos that took a glow of the Sun, radiating with supreme heat as his amber irises shifted into unstable flames.

–This was the pinnacle of heat; the “Solar System” had awakened.

“Come on, then,” Jett spoke fearlessly.

As they two standoff, without even yet fighting, the once quiet valley was torn at the seams by the colliding forces of power that passively existed like natural disasters; lightning charred and struck down upon the fields while the supreme heat tore any future of life from the soil.

There was only a brief silence, though the crackling of seraphic lightning and hissing of heat rippling through the air was always present–still, the moment a small spark and a molten droplet collided–

FWOOOM

The entirety of the valley shook as Jett, embodying Zeus himself, moved across the field with the swiftness of a lightning bolt, even catching Constantine off-guard with such speed before he tossed his knuckles straight across the radiant figure.

There wasn’t a single doubt about it this time; the attack he launched was fully felt by the once impervious foe as Constantine’ cheek rippled and his balance was momentarily launched.

ZAPP

Before a counterattack could be launched by the wielder of the [“Solar System”], as Constantine’ arm became shrouded in an otherworldly heat, Jett invoked the authority of Zeus, flicking a lightning bolt that uppercutted Constantine straight into the sky.

“Phhh–!” Constantine spit out, being launched upward at ludicrous speed.

Ascending through the sky was a feat of minimal effort for Jett in his current state, moving as lightning itself as he pierced the height of the skies in a mere moment.

As he met with his opponent amidst the clouds, he clenched his fist, manipulating the thundering storm clouds as they swirled around, flashing with bubbling electricity.

The words that left his lips came from the anguish he felt of his lost comrade, leaving earnestly and manifesting his will directly–

“Die—!”

With his thundering scream, booming through the sky, he invoked the storm to rapidly swirl as successive strikes of lightning struck Constantine, hitting the radiant figure’s body with godly might again and again.

“Enough…I said…Enough—!”

–Even while being struck by divine lightning repeatedly, Constantine' adamantine endurance displayed itself as he freed himself from the continuous smiting, unleashing a burst of supreme heat from his body.

[“Solar Flare”!]

The emission of star-born heat from Constantine’ body expanded outward like a nuclear bomb, forcing even the thunderous clouds back and forcing Jett to raise his guard. The sky rumbled from the mixture of volatile forces, and once again, they stood off, but only for a moment–

“I’ll show you how much I’ve been taking it easy on you!”

Constantine’ proclamation came as he was engulfed in a radiance unlike any other, presenting speed that seemed to bypass the limitations of physical matter as he swirled around as a whip of bright-orange plasma, leaving trails of fiery explosions in his wake.

“--!”

The authority of [Zeus] came with its own perks; one of which being heightened reflexes that allowed him to perceive Constantine’ godly speed and even to match it as he shifted himself with the essence of lightning, igniting a chase amidst the sky.

As they soared quickly through the clouds, he flicked lightning bolts towards the solar-imbued figure while Constantine responded with condensed beams of solar energy that aimed far, ripping through clouds.

“--I tried to do this the easy way, but you didn’t listen! Nobody else to blame but yourself!” Constantine yelled out.

“Didn’t I tell you before?!” Jett yelled back in response, blitzing through the sky as rays of lightning followed, “--Shut up and die!”

In that moment, he raced across the sky, zigzagging and crossing miles in a mere second as he encircled Constantine multiple times before getting the drop on him.

The might of [Zeus] condensed itself into his fist as the rotation of the storm itself coiled around his fist like a superconductor, taking the radiant reincarnator by surprise at the burst of speed. Wielding such energy in his fist, it caused the complexion of his limb to shift entirely in that moment, glowing brightly with the azure complexion of lightning.

[“Exile From Olympus”]

Merely moving his arm invoked the colossal, continuously brewing storms to howl in reverence. Slamming his fist down against the cheek of his loathed foe, he emitted the blinding, pale flash of lightning as a rippling shock wave, commanding a construct of the erratic energy that took the form of a dragon’s head, snatching Constantine into its jaws as it dragged him back down to the ground.

“Nnngah…!” Constantine let out, stuck within the jaws of the ethereal beast of lightning as he struggled, “--Let go!”

The frustration of Constantine birthed itself through an evocation of heat, unleashing a flare of heat that matched the sun’s own, disintegrating the construct of lightning as he slammed his elbow against it and tore its jaws away from himself.

–Yet, just as the man known as the “Erupting Sun” freed himself, a flash was glanced in the solemn store above before thunder roared, casting down a lighting bolt that revealed itself as Jett himself, descending with his fist as the anchor that brought Constantine back down to the ground.

The impact upon the valley below, an unknown distance from the region the battle now began, resulted in a massive crater and a quake throughout the land. It was an unrecognizable region, one of stone trees and primordial mountains.

In the newly-formed crater, he kept his hand pressed down against his foe’s head, keeping Constantine buried against the crumbled stone as sparks of electricity coiled around his fingertips.

“This is it,” Jett said as his irises housed the light of Zeus.

“...Like hell it is!”

–Muffled by the stone, Constantine growled out before suddenly displaying enough strength to lift himself against Jett’s own push, slamming his knuckles against the ground and shifting it into molten.

“--!”

Jett was forced to leap up just before the acre around Constantine was completely erased by the unequaled heat he produced.

“Fine! I admit it! You’re strong–as you are now, you’re a match for me. I can admit that,” Constantine said, building the heat around himself as steam poured off of his body, rippling like the winds of a chaotic storm, “--But that’s all the more reason I need to kill you! If I let you continue on, you’ll get too strong, and if you’re against us…That isn’t happening.”

[“Supernova Shift”]

Flexing his body, Constantine embodied the very epithet of “Erupting Star” as his internal heat was brought to its maximum, causing his complexion to mimic that of a boiling star as a pillar of steam erupted from his position.

“This is a true battle of “Reincarnators”! Let us carve this battle into the flesh of Fantasia, shall we?!” Constantine called out.

The battle ignited with those words; this time, as he bolted forward with his godly speed, he found himself swiftly countered this time by an unexpected technique from his foe: Constantine threw his fist forward, bypassing the need for range as his attack manifested itself through a colossal fist constructed of bright-orange plasma.

FOOOOSH

He was able to raise his arms just in time to guard as the burning knuckles slammed against him, blowing him back fiercely as he slammed through the body of not one mountain, but two.

“Tch.”

Mountains could no longer hold him as he immediately burst out, coming to witness the massive fireball swimming through the sky that revealed itself to be Constantine himself, who did not waste any time following up.

“How ‘bout this?!” Constantine shouted.

Like a Sun occupying the night sky, the blazing reincarnator waved his hands, conjuring massive beams of plasma that tore the isolated region asunder, cleaving through mountains as Jett danced as lightning, evading the colossal pillars of eradicating heat.

Far too elusive, he evaded the rays of solar energy before arriving before the airborne foe of his, summoning a bolt of lightning straight into his grip.

[“God Emperor Smite”]

From up above, he tossed the spear of divine fulmination down upon his foe, raining down an invocation of lightning that swirled with the rotational forces of all of the brewing thunder and electricity stored in the clouds.

“Nobody to blame but myself, is that what you told me before?” Jett called out, “I’d say to take your own advice–remember when you’re buried six-feet under that you only brought that upon yourself.”

Constantine was imprisoned by the spiraling storm that was formed of rampant lightning, gripped by it as it continuously attacked him with electrical forces, though he held on, strained and wincing, “...You’d put the life of a summon over one of your brethren?!”

“The life of a friend!” Jett corrected him, slamming another bolt atop his foe.

“Well, it doesn’t matter either way–I’m not dying to you!” Constantine shouted as he ripped his body free from the binding of unstable lightning, amplifying his heat further.

At the very least, there was no denying that the sheer endurance and persistence of Constantine was something of legend as he pushed forward nonetheless while being struck by unrelenting lightning before slamming straight into Jett.

“--I know how your system works!” Constantine shouted, “These powerful abilities…They’re restricted by time! Temporary! All I have to do is keep you busy!”

Like a missile launching through the heavens, Constantine pushed upward as he kept his arms wrapped around Jett, binding him as he soared as high as he could.

“What good does it do to know that?! You’re nothing now!” Jett screamed.

[Zeus] was not merely the ruler of lightning, but also a god of strength, allowing divine power to coil through Jett’s muscles as he pushed outward while flexing his limbs, breaking free from Constantine’ desperate hold as they neared the stratosphere.

“What?!” Constantine let out.

The limbs of the golden-haired reincarnator throbbed, aching throughout his bones from the aftershock of experiencing the raw strength of [Zeus] up close.

‘I’ve been this close to him…How is he unharmed by my heat?! Just what power did he acquire–even if it’s temporary, this surpasses logic!’ Constantine questioned.

With a battle brought close to the outer bounds of Fantasia itself, in which its many, mystical moons could be seen orbiting, Constantine’ radiance magnified as the air around him rippled in response to his own admission of his opponent’s strength.

‘I can let loose up here–I don’t need to worry about damage! Just end him!’ This thought was shared between both combatants.

At that moment, Constantine condensed the solar energy to the core of his being, swirling it in his chest as it gathered with the blinding light of the Sun itself before releasing in an unstable, widespread beam that pierced the stratosphere with nuclear output.

Witnessing it coming his way through a colossal glow of heat, he bolted upward, though the solar emission curved itself upward at Constantine’ command, following him even as he moved.

Yet, the speed he possessed as lightning, with unequaled manipulation of the skies, allowed him to dance around the solar beams. It was a destructive chase amidst the highest altitudes, as the colossal solar beam carved through the atmosphere with a rippling, flashing heat.

Finally putting an end to the attack, he shot high up as a bolt of lightning, surpassing the bounds of the sky as he momentarily entered the territory of the cosmos themselves.

“...Hff…”

In that moment, breath left his lungs as a frost gripped his body when leaving the atmosphere of Fantasia, surrounded by distant stars and colorful moons of the fantastical world; the one to his left being large and of emerald stone and the right one being chalky and orange.

As he was able to overlook the atmosphere of the colossal world, he manipulated them as he slowly moved his hands inward, commanding the world’s storms to rendezvous upon one point—directly around his opponent.

The winds that howled and swirled with grandeur above simple natural disasters engulfed Constantine, keeping the solar-empowered figure in the eye of the storm whilst it was being concocted.

[“The Storm That Brought The Titans Down: Primordial End”]

Aiming a single hand down, he clenched the storm with his godly authority as his pale, shining hair flowed in the veil of cosmos, invoking the country-sized storm to begin spinning, spinning, and spinning faster and more violently.

“Nnnghah…!” Constantine let out, attempting to endure the colossal pressure.

–However, the aim was not to rely on the unequaled storm to tear the figure limb-from-limb, it was to utilize the rotational force amidst the worldly storm to magnify the lightning birthed from it.

‘This is everything…The strongest attack of “Zeus”!’ He thought.

There was no mercy in his command of the gargantuan storm, brewing lightning unlike any other as the unequaled electrical power burned even the air, rippling through the stratosphere with a stretch of static.

As he slammed his hand down, he commanded the spiral of the storm, shaping it like a barrel in which the grandiose lightning shot itself down.

“--!”

Constantine could only watch as the godly flash descended with a roar that quaked through the heavens, slamming down upon him with impunity.

The lightning had combined into a colossal beam of bright-blue energy, shooting down like a ray of destruction from the clouds before slamming down into the region below, and with it, bringing Constantine down to the ground.

“Rrrraaaaagh…!” Constantine struggled, attempting to resist and counter with his own power, but it was simply overwhelming.

The solar energy wielded by the general of the Reverse King melded with the chaotic storm, birthing in bright-orange flashes and bubbling heat, yet was pushed down by the divine lightning.

Bearing the authority of [Zeus] in its fullest capacity, he remained floating just outside the stratosphere, overlooking Fantasia, a world that dwarfed the size of Earth, yet his eyes of fulmination only looked down upon the cataclysm he brought down upon his foe.

“Destruction,” – in the mind of the anguished, perturbed reincarnator, this was what flowed through his mind as he continued guiding the pillar of cataclysmic lightning down upon his enemy.

The valley below of ancient mountains and stone trees shook violently as the valley of archaic trees and grassless soil was torn asunder by the godly wrath.

–Finally, it reached its end as the quaking skies and tremoring region of an unknown land below simmered down, allowing the seraphic storm to disperse as the damage had been dealt.

“...Hff…”

Sparks hissed and coiled from Jett’s body as his muscles cramped up, feeling a fatigue coursing through his body as he coughed out; the pale, electric complexion of his hair began flickering to its normal shade, though he knew what this meant.

‘...It’s almost over…It lasted longer than I expected, but I need to get back down unless I wanna plummet from up here,’ he thought.

With only mere moments of his transformation left, he descended rapidly with the guidance of lightning, penetrating through multiple layers of Fantasia’s sky as sound barriers were broken repeatedly. He touched down on the area of impact from his climactic attack, seeing just what sort of damage was done.

“...”

Though he was confident that the valley was barren and left uninhabited, it wasn’t a great feeling to see just how much he had destroyed; the vast fields of soil had been burnt to a char and left unable to bear life any further. Embers and remnants of lightning still hovered above the desecrated land along with steam.

“Nngh…”

Stumbling slightly, he held his own face as he felt the godly strength evaporating rapidly from his body as it returned to its normal state.

[Temporary Summon: Over]

Just like that, he was left back to his original state, deprived of the authority of [Zeus] as he stood there in the sundered field of his own destruction, looking at the main source of the steam–it was no doubt where Constantine had crashed.

“...That was for you, Gunter,” he remarked under his breath, exhaling and inhaling as he found his body exhausted by the extended battle.
