My-Our name was Ai Nakamura. We were a Japanese girl, until recently. Confused? I can see why. After all, how can a single person be a "we"? The answer is simple: we **were** one person, now we are two.
Still confused? Well, let's start from the beginning then. Don't worry we'll be quick. Ai Nakamura, daughter of Kenji and Kazumi Nakamura; born in a small, peaceful village in the countryside. We were an only child. Mother died of an illness when we were seven years old; father started coming home drunk. **No**, he did not abuse us, didn't really take care of us either. Although he *did* leave us money so we could take care of ourselves.
Once we were old enough, Dad sent us to a pretty good middle school, in Tokyo. We didn't have many friends, and our school life was rather uneventful. Honestly, the most eventful thing that happened, occurred in our first year of high school. The resident school bullies thought it was a good idea to harass us during club activities. Well, we were a member of the cooking club, and it was our turn to cook that day. Let's just say the bullies didn't appreciate the scalding hot cast iron pan-to-the-face. The school couldn't really suspend us since we lived on campus, so we got detention for a month. Totally worth it, by the way.

Well, anyways a few months after graduation, some little girl came by and informed us of our father's death to some monsters the government calls Fiends. The Fiends had first appeared somewhere towards the beginning of senior year and had been attacking humans since, although they tended to avoid large population centers. Well, this little girl told us that we had also been chosen to be a hero if we wanted to be one. I think the term she used was "Defender of Humanity" but we honestly weren't listening to her speech. We were given a choice of races to be changed into and an extra perk, or "Tattoo" as she called it.
We chose Kitsune and the "Split" tattoo. What? We always liked foxes and wanted a sister and best friend. Yes, we were lonely. So what if we are weaker than most of the other heroes? Now we go by Taiyo and Tsuki. I am Tsuki and I am a gray/black fox girl; my new sister Taiyo looks almost exactly like me except she has golden fur.
Well, we've just arrived at Savior Central for our training and to find a proper team. Seriously, who named this place? Sure it's catchy, but it's so unimaginative! Oh well, time for Boot Camp!
