Chapter 4 - Pain

Iko was scared as Jaul took her to a room with a metal table in the middle and full of strange tools, from some knives to chainsaws to some strange looking claws, the strange thing was that every single one of them had that same nasty feeling she felt from Angela, the room was also filled with the smell of putrid blood all over, it was worse for Iko thanks to her new heightened senses. In the metal table there were shackles, imbued with the same energy. What was that energy and why was it so nasty?

“As you can see, they are all imbued with divine power, the exact opposite of the corruption“ Said Jaul before ordering Iko to lay on the table, Iko, even if she didn’t want to, lay into the table, where Jaul put on the shackles on her wrists and her ankles, she was scared, her hearth was bumping against her chest, she felt as it was about to jump out of her chest, tears were falling from her eyes.

“Now then…” said Jaul while he was putting a mask and gloves on “I will investigate how did all those bodies become one.”

Body’s? thought Iko, what did he mean by that? She didn’t felt any different with her body so it couldn’t be another’s body, and he also had said it in plural so what did he mean?

“You are probably wondering what I mean right? Well let me tell you. That’s not your body, that’s the amalgamation of thousands of bodies. It was an abomination but when I inserted a part of your shattered soul into each body they fused! That’s magnificent, but I can0t understand the science behind it, so I must dissect you, and don’t worry you can regenerate after all, don’t you? Oh wait, your regeneration is greatly limited thanks to the divine energy in my tools, so yeah, this will hurt” was all he said as some flying machines moved to be on top of her, each with a different tool.

[Starting analysis… analysis completed… starting dissection] was all Iko heard before an unimaginable pain flowed through her body, from her legs to her eyes and from her claw to her horns, the divine energy exploring her body make her regeneration fail a million times but her hearth didn’t stop regenerating, almost as she couldn’t be killed but even with her brain destroyed her conscious remained and she felt everything, worse than the pain of the collar, as after all, the collar were just shocks, even if those shocks made what little of her soul remained tremble, it was just that, shocks, painful, but shocks, this hurt her body in a physical and spiritual level as the divine energy was traveling through the feint connection of her body, or bodies, to her soul.

Jaul was confused as why this abomination of nature had a perfectly normal body apart from the constant hate and corruption energy fleeing from her body, it was just as any human being, even as he cut and checked every single organ with his drones, there was still nothing out of the ordinary, it wasn’t like when he did with the blood boy and the feathered girl, who he had to torture to get her to imbue his tools with divine power, they had either or more organs, less organs or they were distributed differently, but this girl had a perfect human body outside of her horns and eyes, who when taken out of their spot just became human like, losing every dragon trait they had, ignoring the constant screaming coming out of the girl, he become curious, as from previous experiences with blood boy and feathered girl, her status changed, he still remember what their status said last time he checked.

[Angela Klaid, Who stole the divine, Level 45]

[Berg Heisn, Synthesis of all blood, level 56]

Everybody had a title, but they had to learn it by themselves if they wanted to use it and be shown when being identified, but Jaul had a special ability that gave him the chance to see the title the gods had given them, because they were to types of titles, the ones given by the gods, that were what this two had, those weren’t official and only certain skills allowed one to see them, the other one was the title given by the system, those are official titles, like the one he had right now. [In Search of The Source] gave him the ability to sense the source of any element he saw, if he saw a fire, he could see where its source was, and with corruption? It was another theme, the corruption didn’t have a source, strange as it is, the hate of this girl didn’t have one either. That only made him more curious to see what he would see when he used his identification skill on her, so, he used it.

“T-this is… I-impossible”

Angela was never scared easily, after all she had been born like a shell, at first she thought she simply couldn't be scared, but after that man kidnapped her… she felt fear for the first time, and with time, the rest of her emotions started to appear, but there was always one lingering in her mind, becoming more present the more he were near her, fear, she just couldn’t escape it, even if she was a level 45 cleric, she couldn’t take that fear away, after all, it was her body, mind and soul that felt fear, she couldn’t take it from the 3 of them, but after that man took Iko, she let go of a breath she didn’t know she was holding, that woman, just her presence made her feel fear, her only guess was the corruption she talked about, as she felt the divine souls in her tremble, but what could scare the divine? There was something the divine beings were afraid of after all. She just couldn’t take her mind of it, well couldn’t until she heard screaming coming from the hall the man took Iko.

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

“AGHHHH!” and some other things were being screamed at the end of the hall, some sounded way suspicious as if one didn’t know Jaul they would think he is doing other things, god’s will know why she was screaming like that, she didn’t look like the type of person who got exited with pain, after all she looked like she was suffering from the collar, collar who only she had, after all, she and Berg had already lost any hopes of escape and just did as he said, so he didn’t had use to the collars anymore, but the one she had looked different in some way, not like she could have seen it with much detail from so far and in the dark. She guessed she had to wait for him to have his fun torturing her before she could see it again, and talking about that… it has been some time already and he wasn’t back, so either he found something interesting or isn’t able to find anything, I do wonder what she is…

After some hours he was back with the girl, but she looked… empty, her eyes didn’t move much and she looked like she was lost in her thoughts, when he throwed her into the cell her eyes started watering and she started to cry in her cell, neither Berg or Angela tried to say anything, after all, it wasn’t their problem, even if they were curious.

The next months for Iko were only pain and suffering, every day he would take her out of her cell and torture her at the now blood covered room, everything had a deep shade of red from all the torture sessions he put her through, every time she went she came out more like an animal, she growled at Angela & Berg when they tried to say something and when she was taken for torture her screams were all animalistic, when she tried to talk she couldn’t form words anymore, she was losing her human self and making herself feel more and more like those animals she used to scare so she wouldn’t had to kill them when they tried to steal her crops, she stopped walking in 2 legs she crawled expect when her collar forced her to walk like a human being, she became more and more scared of the divine energy and whenever she saw Angela she would scream and try to break the walls of her cell just to destroy her hand and claws over and over again, and something she didn’t know, was that everyday she was being watched by a being in a cloth with green fires were the eyes should be, waiting for something…

“You lucky girl!” started Jaul as he grabbed her by a chain he placed in her collar as the many times she tried to escape when he didn’t activate the collar, it had been almost double the time he used for Berg and Angela to fear him and stop needing collars, she was that annoying.

“Today you won’t be tortured! At least not in the same way!” Iko facial expression changed with those words, in the first half her eyes had a glimmer of hope to be free form that pain cycle that had trapped her for months, but when he said the second half here expression went back to that of a dead man, after all, that meant she wasn’t free.

He had taken her over to a new room this time with all kinds of warnings on the way, and Iko could feel the amount of spatial energy inside, even a small town like hers had spatial gates, the reason they couldn’t use it to escape was because Folkur had used a spatial blocking artifact, blocking all gates to other cities, and well they were pricey for a farmer girl like her, only the most rich nobles and merchants could use them.

“This is my favorite place of all, my pets live here after all” started Jaul “You became interesting enough to become one of my pets, you even act like an animal nowadays!” Iko growled at him but he wasn’t wrong, if it wasn’t for the slave collars in her ankles and wrists she would have been dragged on all four from the sheer exhaustion she felt, all of the collars had chains, meaning she had to drag those across all the halls and rooms.

Jaul pulled the chain in her neck making her follow him into the room when she passed through the door, she was in a strange place, there were jungles on one side, snowy mountains on the other, deserts that expanded until she couldn’t see it anymore and in the last corner was a sea so beautiful that she got lost looking at it for a while, she got out of the hypnotic sight when Jaul started talking “Now as you can see, down there are my precious pets, that now are your companions, but you see those tears in the corner of each zone?” asked Jaul, and as Iko looked she noticed the tears dropping a strange mist, suddenly all the monsters below started to become aggressive killing each other, and even Iko who wasn’t in the mist felt she wanted to do a massacre, her breath quickened just before Jaul teleported her down below to the mist and the monsters not before saying something, something she couldn’t understand, but the being in a cloth and had flames for eyes did, “I hope you die soon, %#$/#%& /% #%/#/#/()#$&$“and he continued watching her, she who was cursed with death from her birth but never died, so he waited for the moment she finally left this world to join the other souls he had collected, all for his goal of taking down those oppressing gods, for her master, the primordial level threat, The Master of the Church At The End of the World, Elaine.
