Set in the fictional land of Exliciour, the story tells about four individuals; Craide Annieguard, whose sister, Annie, disappeared one night, stolen by the tides after raising her family's class, Mercury Oceanguard, the fallen princess who swore to fight and gain her family's respect against all odds, Herrisa Arrowguard, the coldest girl amongst all frozen-hearted girls after her family was ruthlessly annihilated by evil forces, and the last one, Runo Merchantguard, a mysterious child from a low-class family who seems to be a genius. The four meet upon arriving at Winshire Academy, a place where people from all around Exliciour gather to train how to bend both elemental forces and mental forces. The powers are divided to oppose each other, fire vs. ice, nature vs. poison, light vs. mist, heart vs. mind, illusion vs. reality, life vs. pain, etc. It is only there where the four realizes that they were all destined to meet upon finding out about the Four Mental Opposers, an ancient group that served under the rulers of the country, whose powers consisted of both Mental and Elemental types of bending. Upon learning of this, the four set out to find the power corrupting the land and ends up having to fight against the three ruling families.
