“Wake up Yamada! It’s reverly! Rise and shine! Up you go! Git your ass out of bed! Your battle skills aren’t training themselves!”
“Ugh. Five more minutes Drin, then I’ll get up.”
“No time for that. I should have woken you up earlier, but I’ll be nice to you for day one.”
“What time is it?”
“Three am. And that’s a late start for a day of training.”
“Then I’ll revise the request. Five more hours. Please.”
“No sympathy. Git up. You’re getting your first weapon today, and you getto draw it out from one of the best weapons storage facility across the universal realms.”
“Already!? I’m up! I’m up! When do we head down?”
“In five hours. Until then, I will spar with you - with wooden blades of course - so I can recommend you a good weapon class for you. You will also learn bonding techniques for you and your blade.”
“What are bonding techniques, and why do I need to learn them?”
“The bonding techniques are what you use to bond with your blade.”
This content has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
“What the fuck is that supposed to mean?”
“Each blade has a personality - usually one that is a copy of, or nearly identical to yours. To unlock the true potential of that blade, you must learn all about it’s personality, and interact with it on a constant basis. In some extreme cases, the quality of the blade itself is dependent on the bond between blade and wielder.”
“What are those extreme cases? They sound powerful.”
“There are two types of blades that are under this type of case. The first is the spirit blade, which I have mastered. The second is very similar, but has a hard to pronounce name, and is unique to realm KT. One of its most powerful users is actually a ginger haired teen with an honorable sense of protection for his precious ones.”
“Is it difficult to learn how to use those?”
“Extremely. It usually takes five to ten years to activate the first release of that blade. Even longer for the second release. The spirit blade has three releases, rather than the two releases that you will find in it’s cousin from ream KT. I doubt that you will start off with a spirit blade, considering how long it takes to start to learn it.”

Edit in ten hours of epic training sequence here. (It was so intense that I [the author] couldn’t put it in to the story - to protect you, the reader, from it’s pure, murderous intensity. I had trouble even letting this little amount of the training get in to this little area, as it was just that intense.)

“Drin, what time is it? I feel like it’s been more than five hours.”
“It’s three pm. You got so absorbed into the training that you trained for ten hours instead of five. Don’t worry, the armoury is still open.”
“Thank goodness! I thought that the armoury would be closed if we didn’t make our appointment. Good thing it isn’t.”
“Well then, come with me and finally receive your first weapon.”
