The Forgotten Saiyan in Another World

The Forgotten Saiyan in Another World

The first thing he heard was the sound of whispering near him. His eyes shot open with a start as he aimed his palms at the two beings watching him. They were brats. One was a girl that had a floating halo above her head and small white wings on her back. The other was a boy that had small red horns on his forehead, bat wings, and a pointed tail. Besides their unusual appearances and frightened faces, the most important thing he noticed was that his hands were much smaller than usual. His entire body seemed to have shrunk! His power level was no different either! He’s gotten even weaker than before he died!

“What the hell is going on?!” He exclaimed.

The last thing he could remember was being in hell watching Kakarot being killed by the goat magician. Raditz reached for the halo that should’ve been around his head but it was gone. And if that halo was gone that meant that he was somehow revived! He was alive again! He had a second chance to live! To fight! To get revenge!

Spending the last several years watching Kakarot and his comrades have filled Raditz with such envy. But now that he was alive again, he could become just as strong as them with enough time! Gods of Destructions, Angels, Supreme Kais, Majins, Frieza, Vegeta, none of them will be able to stand a chance against him! Raditz saw everything his younger brother experienced while he was alive. Kakarot and his comrades’ techniques, their training, conversations, and their new forms!

He will take them all and make himself into the strongest Saiyan in the universes! Spending all that time in Hell gave him plenty of time to make a plan for when he came back alive. He already knew what he was going to train first. But before he does that, he needs to understand what kind of situation he was in right now.

The ki blast he was going to kill the two brats with fizzled out. They were no threat to him but they were useful in helping him understand how to sense energy. The two of them were oozing with energy. Kakarot and his allies could control their ki and sense it. This helped them in countless situations. If his younger brother could do it, then there was no reason why he couldn’t do it too! He wouldn’t be shown up by Kakarot or anyone else any longer! He’ll train everything he can and then show them his new power!

It didn’t take Raditz long to learn how to sense energy. As a Saiyan, it was easier for them to learn certain techniques after being aware of them. Most needed a single glance and could copy any technique to memory. Raditz was no different in that regard. He’s committed several techniques to memory after watching Kakarot through the years. He also couldn’t wait to improve them with his own special twist.

“Shut up!” Raditz roared to the two siblings. They were rambling on and on with their stupid high-pitched voice.

Raditz’s own voice reverted back to his child voice as well but whatever language they spoke, he couldn’t understand it. His shout scared the two into silence as they stared at him with fright. Getting off the ground, Raditz realized that he’s reverted back to his child self somehow. It was going to be annoying getting used to fighting in this small body again along with all the other training he plans to do.

He was in some sort of cave right now. Green crystals sticking out of the walls lit up the cave. There was no sight of any other living beings but himself and the two brats. He could sense other creatures deeper in the cave but wasn’t worried about them. The two brats kept quiet on their knees while looking up at him.

Raditz placed his hands on their heads and they visibly jumped at his touch.

‘What is this place? Did you revive me? If you don’t answer me in 10 seconds, I'll kill one of you.’ He asked through telepathy.

‘Please don’t hurt us! We’ll tell you anything!’ The halo brat pleaded.

‘We don’t know either! We woke up here just like you with no memory of anything! Only a voice telling us to kill humans.’ Bat brat explained.

‘Tch. So, you’re useless...’ After trying telepathy on his own, he was confident enough in using it without needing to directly touch their heads.

‘Sorry...’ Halo brat apologized.

Raditz didn’t expect much from them anyway. He just wanted to try his luck. He started walking in the direction opposite of the creatures he sensed earlier. Perhaps there was an exit somewhere. He wasn’t some primitive creature. Why would he stay in a cave if he didn’t need to?

He could sense the two brats following behind him.

‘Even if you follow me, I won’t protect you.’ Raditz shared.

‘We’re not following you... We’re just headed the same way...’ Bat brat lied.

‘Hmph. Whatever.’

Raditz confidently walked forward while the two followed closely behind but not too close. As they didn’t want to anger the hedgehog-haired boy. He seemed to have a temper and wasn’t scared like them. Maybe they could figure out what was going on if they stayed close to him. He looked like he knew where he was going. They didn’t know what kind of magic allowed a person to speak through minds but knew that he was someone worth following.

Raditz found some sort of pink barrier at the exit of the cave. He shot a ki blast and saw that it did nothing to the barrier. If a normal ki blast like that wasn’t enough, then what about this? Raditz held his right hand in the air and gathered ki to form a pink energy sphere in his palm. With a casual toss, he sent it flying towards the barrier.

“Saturday Crush!” He shouted as the brats coughed when smoke filled the area. A few moments later, Raditz could see the barrier took no damage from his attack.

“Damn child body! I’m so weak now that I wouldn’t even be a warm-up for a Saibamen! How infuriating...” Raditz turned around to see the brats still staring at him.

“What are you staring at!?” He shouted, causing the brats to jump in fright and lower their eyes.

Raditz angrily walked back inside the cave. It looks like he was trapped inside this damn place until he was strong enough to break that damn barrier. Well fine, he was planning on increasing his strength anyway. This just gave him a temporary goal to strive for as he trains. But damn it! Being reminded of how weak he was pissed him off.

Raditz glanced at the brats. They might’ve been a good way of relieving stress if he didn’t sense something that was more challenging ahead. Toying with the weak was no longer something Raditz could find himself enjoying. After seeing Kakarot and Vegeta growing stronger after fighting strong opponents, he knew that he would also have to do the same. This creature up ahead would be the perfect opponent for him to get familiar with his new body.

“Gruh?” A pile of rocks in the shape of a person stared at him with glowing green eyes.

“Hmph. Not what I would’ve liked for my first opponent in the living world but whatever.” Raditz rushed towards the golem.

He rammed his knee into the center of the monster, sending it sliding back with a few pieces of itself falling off.

“Groh!!!” It cried. The golem slowly walked towards Raditz with heavy steps.

Raditz clicked his tongue in disappointment. This thing wouldn’t help him at all. It was too stupid and slow. He held his palm out towards the rock monster and fired several ki blast into it, destroying it to pieces and causing the brats behind him to awe in wonder. Hmm... Raditz just got an idea on how he could train in this place. If it was filled with more of those rock beasts, then he would have to rely on these two brats as his newest underlings. Kakarot had several allies that helped him win several fights. There was no reason why Raditz couldn’t make his own allies that were superior to his younger brother’s!

Raditz spent the next few hours exploring the strangely large cave he was inside with the two brats following behind him. He saw nothing but more creatures similar to the rock monster he destroyed earlier. There was a lava one, icy one, grassy one, and even a metal one. The metal golem was the largest of them all. It was more than 3x larger than Raditz himself, easily able to tower over an adult man. He figured this guy must be their leader.

“Grah!!!” It threatened him with its powerful roar.

“Heh heh heh. You’re definitely stronger than the others. I don’t even know if I can beat you with my current power.” Raditz chuckled excitedly.

‘You two. Watch this fight carefully.’ Raditz powered up to his max power and flew towards the giant.

----------------------------------------

Chapter 2

His fist collided with its hard exterior, the ki covering his fist was enough to protect him from suffering damage. Raditz’s attack only managed to cause a small dent in the body of the golem. Pummeling this scrap of metal was going to take a while and with his current body’s strength overall, it would impossible for him to blow it to pieces. As humiliating as it was, Raditz realized he couldn’t defeat this creature after throwing a single punch. All that big talk from earlier in front of the two brats. Maybe he should’ve kept his mouth shut...

But regardless Raditz continued to battle. His small body allowed him to easily avoid the slow heavy attacks of the metal doll as he unleashed quick attacks all over the body. He was looking for some sort of weak point on the dumb thing. There was no creature that didn’t have a weak point and if there was, he refused to believe it. No, he refused to allow himself to be daunted by such a thing. If there was no weak point, he would create one himself!

Raditz began focusing all his attacks on a single spot of the golem, forcing him to take more dangerous risks as his range of attack was limited. He could try to fire ki blasts from a distance but that would drain his energy too quickly and leave him with no way of harming this thing. His child body was not strong enough to handle metal of this quality just yet. The golem was still just as slow and dumb as when they started this fight. Even after several minutes, it wasn’t able to react to his movements.

If he lost against something as stupid as this, he would have no pride left as a member of the proud Saiyan race! Raditz calmed his head. All of his strikes landed on the chest of the metal creature, creating a tiny crack on its body. As long as he kept this momentum, his victory would be assured. Raditz even taunted the big piece of metal by giving it the finger.

The green eyes of the monster glowed in anger as it let out an ear-deafening roar. The ground beneath Raditz’s feet began to rumble as numerous golems started rising from the ground. He cried out in surprise when one grabbed him by the leg. Its grip was strong, Raditz felt like it could snap his ankle in half if he gave it the chance. Despite the sudden surprise, Raditz was able to get his head back into the fight.

He fired multiple ki blasts into the head of the rock golem, breaking it into pieces and freeing his leg. After getting rid of that annoyance, he turned around, and suddenly his vision was suddenly filled with nothing but a giant metal fist.

“Damn it...” Raditz was sent flying into the opposite side of the room, crashing against the cave wall.

He could feel nothing but pain across his entire body. If all of his bones weren’t broken in that punch, then more than half of them were. The pain was so much he had trouble keeping his eyes open but if he closed his eyes here, he would die. He was not going to die here no matter what. He was not going to die for a second time, especially after he just got revived.

Using his ki, he lifted his body out of the cave wall and floated in the air. The metal golem was still able to reach him from this height but it wouldn’t be able to catch him. Neither would the smaller golems be able to touch him from up here. It was a struggle just to raise one of his arms. The pain was trying to stop him but he wouldn’t let it. Raditz willed through the pain and aimed his palm at the small crack in the golem’s chest.

He continually floated his way out of the reaching arms of the monster and began to charge a reddish-pink energy sphere in front of his hand. He was going to use most if not all of his ki in this attack. If this doesn’t work, he’s screwed and will have to do his best to flee. The thought of retreating was only natural. Dying wasn’t on his list of plans this life.

“Saturday Crash!” Raditz unleashed all of his ki straight towards the weak point he created in this long battle.

The monster was too slow to react to the sudden attack and it hit dead on with a massive explosion that sent Raditz flying away. Before he fainted, he managed to see the two brats running towards him as his blast enveloped the smaller golems as well. If those two brats died when he wakes up, he’s going to be pissed. As far as he could tell, there was nothing else in this cave besides those golems. Being stuck in here with those two would be better than the brainless rocks.

Raditz planned to train them up into respectable fighters. Comrades would be essential if he wanted to take revenge on his younger brother and the Namekian. They were just snot-nosed little weak brats right now but after the training, he plans to give them, they’ll be warriors in no time. The amount of energy he could sense in their body was also impressive. Back home, these two would easily be elite-class warriors with that much energy. But as far as he could tell, they had no idea how to properly use it.

Raditz woke up feeling a warm feeling flowing through his body. He quickly rose from the ground and grabbed whatever creature was near him. It was the halo brat. Raditz let her go after realizing what she had just done to him. He could move his body again. There was no pain lingering in his body, in fact, he felt even stronger than before! She healed him!

“A comrade who can heal along with my Saiyan power to get stronger from the brink of death?” Raditz couldn’t help but laugh in amusement.

The two kids watched Raditz laughing and also smiled. They didn’t understand why he was happy but it was better than the opposite. He defeated that big monster all on his own! He could protect them from any danger. They didn’t understand it but they felt that Raditz was different from them.

‘I suppose it's time I begin my training.’ Raditz declared.

He might’ve been stronger after defeating the metal golem but he doubted it was enough to destroy that barrier at the exit. The large room where the metal doll stayed was now where Raditz and the brats were. Seeing them continue to stare at him like this bothered him. He doubted they would stop unless he gave them something to do in the meantime. Raditz figured he could begin their training alongside his own.

‘Since you two want to follow under me so badly, you’ll have to make yourselves useful. Show me all your skills.’ Raditz ordered.

‘I can heal things with my magic...’ Halo brat responded.

‘I can place curses on things.’ Bat brat answered.

‘Place a curse on me.’ Raditz had no understanding of this cursing thing he was talking about. A demonstration would help him better than a flimsy explanation.

‘I can’t turn off my curse once I place it on someone. I also can’t control what kind of curse it will be.’ Bat brat explained.

‘Why not?’ Raditz asked.

‘He doesn’t have good control over his mana.’ Halo brat spoke for him.

‘That can be rearranged. Just place the curse on me and don’t make me repeat myself again.’ Raditz didn’t know what this mana was but he guessed that it was the name they had for ki on this planet.

He himself was about to undergo some ki training of his own and then after that he would work on training his tail and his body. With enough ki control, there was nothing he wouldn’t be able to do with ki in the future. If he trained his tail, he would get rid of one of his weaknesses. Never again would he let himself be at the mercy of another for his negligence.

‘Alright...’ The brat’s hands glowed with purple energy and a slow-moving orb created in his hands headed straight towards Raditz.

Raditz crossed his arms and accepted the strange attack. The sphere went straight into his body without any resistance. Raditz couldn’t block this attack even if he tried. The only way to avoid it from what he could guess was blowing it away with an energy attack of his own or avoiding it. The curse’s effects happened as soon as it went into his body.

His body felt heavier. His strength was the same but when he tried to move at a speed he was comfortable at, he could only go half that speed. No matter if Raditz was walking or using all of his energy to move, he could only move half his current speed. This power would be helpful. Especially when he trains the boy on controlling his energy. Then he would be able to pick which curse to use at will.

‘How many of these curses can you place on someone? How much energy does it take out of you?’ Raditz questioned.

‘Three is the limit.’ He said to both questions.

‘We’re going to have to work on that too. For now, follow my instructions. Both of you.’

Raditz began teaching the two the essence of ki and how to utilize it to its full potential. Ki control was most important. He shared with the two that any attack that used ki or mana in their case, would be possible if they had enough ki control. Raditz did have a feeling that the type of energy they were using and he was using was different in quality. Not as in having a better or worse quality but a different type of energy in general. What kind of race were these two anyway?

----------------------------------------

Chapter 3

Raditz and the brats gained several benefits during these past few months they spent doing nothing but training. Improving their control over their ki allowed them to do things they’ve never been able to do in the past. Uriel, the halo brat, was now far more useful with her healing capabilities. Learning how to use her mana better allowed her to explore various ways of using healing magic, as she called it.

“Healing Link!” She yelled.

A golden yellow beam shot out of her hand towards Raditz. Raditz felt the warm encompassing feeling of the attack reenergizing his body and even slightly improving his health further. If he was in a fight or injured, this beam would heal him for as long as the beam was on him. This would be an important technique in future battles with opponents far stronger than him. It could also help if he was wounded far away from Uriel, she could use this technique to heal him from afar.

The other thing she learned was infusing her healing magic into objects. It seemed that it was difficult for her to channel ki without using an object. So, Raditz gave her a cleaver made from the fallen body of the metal golem. She was excited to get the cleaver. Whenever Raditz didn’t have her practicing ki control, she was swinging and slashing around that cleaver in a similar manner to a little girl playing with a doll. The other brat stayed far away whenever she was playing with that thing.

Kazuma, the bat brat, improved well under his teachings. He still wasn’t able to control what type of curse he placed on people but management over his ki increased greatly. His limit was no longer limited to three curses as long as he didn’t use most of his energy. He carried around several metal needles also made from the golem. Raditz didn’t understand why’d he want to use something as weak as needles but the boy managed to surprise him with his cunningness. Raditz almost refused to waste his ki on shaping needles from the body of the metal doll but he was glad he didn’t.

Kazuma was able to channel his curse ki through his needles. If one of the needles were infused with curse energy, he could throw them into an opponent and inflict his curses far faster. Previously, he had to rely on those incredibly slow curse orbs from before. Anyone with half a brain could avoid those and that was most of the universe! Kazuma would be an important ally in the future if he kept this progress up. Uriel was still more talented than him in ki control though.

Raditz himself spent most of his time recreating several techniques that his younger brother has learned along with some of his allies. He wouldn’t dare say he’s mastered or learned most of them but he was confident in saying that the metal golem from before wouldn’t stand a chance against him now. His control over his ki was far greater than it was during his first life. Just like Kakarot, he could raise, lower, concentrate, and amplify his ki.

Now it was time to begin the hard part of his training, physical training. Despite his body going back to when he was a child, he wasn’t going to make this easy on himself. In the past, Raditz hated training. Whenever he could avoid doing it, he would. But after seeing the strength of his younger brother and his obsession with training, Raditz knew he couldn’t get stronger without training. He couldn’t even reach the toes of Kakarot if he didn’t change himself in some way. Raditz would train every single day going forward from right now.

And the first thing he planned on training was his tail. It was a weakness he couldn’t believe he allowed himself to keep till adulthood. But that would change in this life. After his tail, he would work on his body. The lack of strength in his body without using ki was frankly pathetic. It would be difficult for him to take over a low-level planet with strength like this.

“Brats. It’s time we move on to the next part of training.” Raditz announced. After reading their minds with telepathy, he learned their entire language.

“Will we get hurt during this part?” Uriel asked.

“Count on it.” Raditz responded, slightly stunned by her happy expression after hearing his response.

“Mana control is already pretty hard...” Kazuma said.

“From now on we will be training both ki control and our bodies. Prepare yourselves, I will not be as forgiving and patient as I was during the first part.”

“Yes!” Uriel responded motivated.

“Yes...” Kazuma responded not as motivated.

The next few months were spent enduring harsh and brutal training for both Raditz and the brats. The powerlessness he felt as he squeezed his tail for hours on end was not something he wished to repeat in the future. Gradually as the weeks went by, his resistance increased. At first, even a light squeeze would drain him of power but now, he could use his full strength and squeeze his tail without even feeling a thing. During this time, he also worked on his ki control like he said. Multitasking both sides of training was exhausting but strangely enough, Raditz felt good seeing himself improve. Was this what his younger brother felt when he trained?

The brats used this time simply fighting against one another. As a member of the Saiyan race, there was no better way of strengthening one’s body than constant battles. They didn’t start off fighting each other though. They fought against the creatures in the cave. Regarding the creatures in the cave, a strange incident seemed to have taken place after he killed the metal golem.

The golems no longer roamed around inside the large cave. A new creature took their place now. Razor-sharp clawed monkeys with long tails popped up in place of the golems. Raditz had a guess on why this change happened but refused to accept it. It would be insulting if he did. He watched over the brats as they faced off against the monkeys. Wild animals are easier to fight than intelligent races.

At first, the brats were completely against fighting at all. That pissed him off. What use would they be as his allies if they didn’t fight? So, he beat them till they felt like fighting. He trained them as any adult Saiyan would to a child and used his strength to hurt them. Uriel healed Kazuma and herself after each beating but realized that Raditz wouldn’t stop until they tried to defend themselves.

Uriel was the first to attack him. After seeing him punch Kazuma in the stomach and then kick him while he was on the ground, berating him, she surprised him with a sneak attack that could’ve killed him if he wasn’t aware. She approached from behind and took a swipe towards his neck. Raditz snatched her up by the throat and smiled. He punched her in the stomach with enough force to make her faint. Just before she fainted, he told her a few words.

“That was not bad. Keep it up.”

From that day on, she attacked him using her full power. She was horribly sloppy and slow but what else could you expect from a dumb brat? She doesn’t even remember anything before waking up in this cave with her twin. However, she did have promise. She didn’t give up no matter how many times Raditz punished her mistakes by attacking her openings. Slowly, she started to learn with her body and her mind. If Raditz punished her for a mistake during their sparring, she learned to cover for that mistake in no time. The control over her knife while also being in control of her movements improved as well. Lately, she’s even begun to smile during their sparring.

Kazuma, on the other hand, was disappointing in their sparring. He refused to attack and focused solely on evasion. Raditz didn’t understand it and when he questioned him, he just said that it was easier to avoid getting hit than hitting. In a way, he was impressed by Kazuma’s skill. At first, the boy was no better than a punching bag. But now, it was difficult for Raditz to land a punch on the boy when he was using half of his strength.

Right now, Uriel was fighting against a group of monkeys. She giddily laughed as ran towards one and slice right through its chest, splitting it into two halves that fell onto the ground. The remaining monkeys charged towards her while hooting and hollering. They scratched and stabbed her with their sharp claws but Uriel didn’t pay any mind to it as she ferociously slashed and slashed with her cleaver. An innocent excited smile was painted on her face while covered in blood and organs. She healed her wounds and walked back towards Raditz.

Raditz couldn’t help but be proud. Uriel was going to become a fantastic fighter in the future. Kazuma wasn’t so bad either but Raditz never really knew exactly what he was thinking. The boy was battling against a different group of monkeys. The way he handled it was far different from his twins. He planned each attack and focused on dealing with his opponents with maximum efficiency.

Kazuma dodged and jumped away from the monkeys chasing after him. The monkeys chased him like starving beasts. They leaped towards him with their claws outstretched to wound him but they couldn’t even scratch his clothes. After the training Raditz put him through, if he still got touched by these weak creatures, he would kill him for being so useless. Kazuma threw one of his needles into the throat of a monkey, cursing it and causing it to trip the other monkeys behind it. The brat used this chance to throw multiple needles into the other 2 monkeys, cursing them too. After that, it wasn’t hard for him to take care of them.

“Hu... If you two keep this up, I might teach you a special technique that would multiply your powers several-fold.” Raditz told them.

----------------------------------------

Chapter 4

“Raditz, why did you help train us?” Uriel asked while cleaning her bloodied cleaver.

“Hmph. Don’t think that I helped you out of the kindness of my heart. You would simply be useless to me staying as weak as you were.” Raditz responded honestly.

“Was this how you became so strong Raditz?” Kazuma asked him.

“My race sends our newborns out to conquer planets. What we’ve done the past few days was nothing in comparison.”

“That sounds brutal...” Kazuma expressed.

“There is no use for a useless Saiyan. You either prove your strength and get stronger or die.”

“Wow, your people sound really terrible Raditz. Would they get rid of me even though I have healing magic?” Uriel wondered.

“No. If we had someone like you back at home, you would be more important than the king himself.”

“What about me? Would I have a place at your home?” Kazuma also wanted to know.

“As you are now, no. A newborn Saiyan would have more use than you at your current power.”

Uriel went over and patted him on the back to comfort him.

“It’s okay Kazuma. If you look at it in another way, if you keep training you’ll be stronger than a baby!” Uriel failed in her attempt to cheer him up and only managed to make Raditz laugh.

“Yes. Keep training and soon you might even be able to beat an infant!” His loud mocking laughter echoed through the cave.

The cave slowly changed ever since the death of the metal golem. The rocky exterior and countless gems and stones no longer formed inside this place. Raditz couldn’t refer to it as a cave anymore. It was more like a wild jungle. Strange fruits sometimes grew inside this dense and populated jungle. Raditz thought it was strange that he could last so long without a single sip of water or food inside this place. But from his memory, he knew that there were stranger places in the universe. A place where he doesn’t need to eat or drink to survive would only benefit him.

The fruits were filled with energy and sometimes gave special boosts to those that consume them. With one golden fruit, Raditz felt as if he had endless energy surging within him. His ki was like an endless pit that he couldn’t feel the bottom of. This greatly aided him in his training his ki control but the fruit wasn’t without its dangers. After 5 minutes of consuming the fruit, one would be drained of all their energy and sent into a starving state. Raditz was forced to eat some of the animals raw in the jungle just to survive.

Since then, he’s been careful not to randomly eat any fruit he’s found in this place without caution. He and the two brats been storing them in a pile near their camp. They might not have any use for them now but when they leave the cave they should sell for a nice price. Raditz made sure to keep some of them in a hidden location for their own personal usage. Their drawbacks might be large but they weren’t worthless. With that golden fruit with the tangy-sweet taste, all he would need to do is finish his opponent in 5 minutes and find some food to eat before his body collapses from starvation.

“Humans?”

“Humans...”

The brats spoke simultaneously. The whites of their eyes were clouded over and an unbelievable amount of killing intent radiated off of them. What was going on with these two? They both turned and looked in a certain direction before running off. Raditz cut them off and knocked them both out cold before examining their minds.

‘Kill the humans...’

‘Kill the humans...’

‘Kill the humans...’

‘Protect your home and kill the intruders...’

‘Shut your mouth! I don’t know who you are but trying to take my underlings from me will only result in your death. Leave or die!’ Raditz sensed the origins of the voice and found that it was inside the brats’ bodies.

‘Kill the...’ Raditz plunged his hands into their chests and pulled out the glowing crystal gems next to their hearts.

To save them from dying, he used his ki to grab one of the special fruits they had stored and shoved it down their throats. This fruit was bright pink in appearance and had a bitter sour taste. It rapidly healed any injuries at the cost of completely draining the energy of those that eat it. He left the brats alone and let them heal from their wounds as he crushed the diamond-shaped gems into pieces. Raditz believed that it was almost time for him to leave this place.

His strength was stagnating. His control over his ki was steadily improving but there was nothing here that could challenge him in a fight. The brats were getting stronger but they were nothing compared to what he needed. He needed a battle that would threaten his life. The only way he would be able to get that, was getting out of this cave.

----------------------------------------

“Are we all ready to go in?” Hubert asked his fellow Dimension Hunters.

“My equipment is all good.” A largely built man dressed in full knight armor with a sword replied.

“My mana is at 100%.” A woman dressed in wizardly robes answered.

“My blades are sharp and enchanted with piercing.” The lightly dressed young man with a hoodie pocketed his daggers.

“Are we sure that this is an E-rank dungeon?” The only person here not wearing anything fantasy-like.

His question brought the excited mood of everyone down. They were all hunters while he was a measly porter. Someone to grab and carry the valuables within the alternate dimensions. The fact that he had the nerve to question anything at all was already pushing it. They were a new group of recently awakened humans. They’ve seen the famous and strongest ranked hunters and wanted to become just like them. They doubted that famous hunters they looked up to would listen to the words of some porter back when they started. The DHA, Dimensional Hunter Association, measured this portal as an E-ranked dungeon a week back.

The only type of portal that could change its ranking was a Golden Portal. None of them have ever heard of an E-rank portal becoming a Golden Portal. Nor did they like how cowardly their porter was. But it was too late to try and hire another one. If they left this dungeon to find another one, it would lead to a Dungeon Fracture eventually. A dungeon could have a fracture within 28 days at the least or to 90 days at max. The monsters inside the dungeon would start to pour out of the portal and do untold amounts of destruction if left unchecked.

Normal weapons had little to no effect on the monsters from the dimensional worlds. If a Dungeon Fracture happened, it was up to the military to hold them for the Dimension Hunter to eventually come and deal with. Unfortunately, not every place in the world had a military to defend against the monsters from the dungeons. Over the last 5 years, many places across the globe have been taken over by monsters. Humanity as a whole, aims to free these places once they gained enough strength to take them back but it was mostly for selfish purposes that nations would want to free a monster-infested area. Unanimously, it was decided that the nation that managed to free a monster-owned country or island got to keep it as part of their own.

“Hey porter boy, you won’t make it far in this industry asking dumb questions like that. Do you really think that we wouldn’t check what type of dungeon we were heading into?” The hooded youth laughed.

“Let’s go inside. And let’s keep the stupid questions to a minimum please.” Hubert added at the end as they all walked inside the green swirling portal.

----------------------------------------

Jacob didn’t have a good feeling about this dungeon run. Everyone except him and Hubert were complete beginners. Hubert was the tank and leader of this party but tanks weren’t known for being strong enough to defeat bosses. They would have to count on the beginners if they wanted to clear this dimensional world.

Jacob would be no help at all in combat. He was the weakest awakened person he knew. Jacob couldn’t even defeat a skeleton without sustaining injuries and needing to be healed by a healer. That’s why he was usually delegated to porter. Him engaging in a life-or-death battle with a skeleton managed to be known by nearly everyone in the hunter community. But no matter how much he was humiliated or shamed, he would not stop being a hunter.

The money was too good. Being a hunter was the most lucrative job in 2025, there was almost no other job that paid as high as being a hunter without needing various degrees or a lifetime of experiences. The closest alternatives would be Dimensional Blacksmiths or other occupations that deal with materials that come from inside the Dimension Worlds. Jacob had no talent in any of those other fields, he spent months trying them all and failed the preliminary exams for every single one of them. His only option was to risk his life every week to gain money for his sick mother and take care of his younger brother.

“I won’t ever give up. If it's for my family, I'll do whatever is necessary to protect them.” Jacob vowed to himself once again.

Chapter 5

So far, this dungeon felt like a typical E-ranked dungeon. Everything was going smoothly with Hubert leading the newcomers and teaching them the ins and outs of dimensional hunting. The group has also found several valuable items inside this alternate world: fruits with mana inside them, strange trees with unusual bark and leaves, and small insects that held magical energy. The monsters weren’t anything too difficult either. As long as Hubert taunted them with his class ability, the rest would take them out by following his commands.

Jacob’s spine was still tingling though. Everything was going well. Too well... Everyone else was overjoyed because of how easy this dungeon’s been so far but not Jacob. As they were traveling through this colorful jungle, there were more than a few times that made Jacob think that something terrible was lurking inside it. And that there might be more than just one terrible thing...

There were several points in their journey when they would find a tree or area completely destroyed with no signs of telling what caused them. That wasn’t Jacob’s only reason for keeping his guard up though. They also found dried blood on the ground or painted onto the bushes and trees which was his biggest cause for concern. There was one thing that every Dimensional Hunter knew about the monsters inside the dungeons. They only attacked humans, never each other.

The fact that there was dried blood on more than one occasion inside this place meant that there was something hunting the monkeys just like them. Jacob expressed his worry but was only met with ridicule.

“If something is killing the monkeys just like us ain’t it better for us in the end?” Mason, the knight, said.

“Yeah, I don’t see why you’re acting like such a pussy over some shit that doesn’t even matter.” William, the hooded assassin, scoffed.

“This is the reason why you’re known as the weakest hunter.” Sophia, the mage, stated.

“Now now, don’t all gang up on the porter. Jacob might be the weakest hunter and a subpar porter but that doesn’t mean he’s an idiot. Take his words with a grain of salt because I too think that something is off about this place.” Hubert backed him up sort of.

“Will we have to abandon the dungeon?” Sophia asked.

“I wouldn’t say that. We have to at least look at the final boss of this place before deciding to leave.” Hubert told her.

“Won’t it just be a big ass monkey or something?” William guessed.

“It could be a monkey with a special ability. Like breathing fire or something.” Mason suggested.

And Jacob’s wish for them to take this seriously and not as a game was blown away just like a feather in the wind. Despite how he was acting, he didn’t want them to abandon this dungeon. They might be jerks but their skills weren’t lacking if they could hire Hubert as their leader. Hubert was a D-ranked Hunter with plenty of experience in completing E- and D-ranked dungeons. Mason was a powerful warrior with good sword skills. William was one of the top assassins in his hunter class and was even approached by a top-ranked guild by the time of his graduation. Similarly, Sophia’s grades were also excellent in her class. She was said to have high potential for a mage.

“Keep your head up, I think we found our boss.” Hubert whispered.

Up ahead, Jacob could see a large plump monkey picking its teeth with a sharp tree branch. It had a rather large gut and size but besides that, it wasn’t that much different from the other monkeys. This shouldn’t be too hard for them to deal with as long as no unexpected situations occur while they were dealing with this monster.

“William, use your sneak ability and get somewhere you can land a vital blow. Sophia, channel your strongest spell here. Mason, you’re with me. When I grab its attention, I want you to help keep its attention focused on us while William is weakening it and Sophia is charging her attack. Sophia, when you’re ready, tell us so that we can guarantee that your attack lands. Any questions?”

“What am I going to do?” Jacob asked, even though he already knew the answer.

“Stay out of the way and don’t die.” It looks like he really did know the answer.

The rest laughed at him and Jacob was forced to watch as they fought the big monkey. Jacob didn’t believe that Hubert was in the wrong when he told him to stay out of the way. Even if he tried to help, he would only get in the way. He awakened as an E-ranked Dimensional Hunter and was only slightly better than the strongest human. Plus, he was too poor to afford any equipment to help him fight monsters. The only thing he’s got on him were these enchanted shoes that slightly increased his speed.

Jacob would be lying if he said that he wasn’t jealous watching them. It was like watching a fantasy movie in real life. Mason’s heroic figure slashing with his sword. William’s silent but deadly stabs into the monkey when it was distracted. Hubert’s loud shouting and attention-catching skills that made the monkey have no choice but to focus on him. And Sophia’s silent muttering as a water orb slowly formed above her staff.

He too wished that he was out there like them fighting like that. But, he had too much on the line to risk his life even more than he already was. Without him, his family was finished. Jacob’s little brother would be forced into taking care of their mother and his future would be ruined. Jacob was fine with his dreams and future being taken away from him. He was the older brother and firstborn, it was expected of him to make sacrifices for his family. But he couldn’t accept his little brother's future being taken away from him.

The boss was in prime position for Sophia’s attack. It was exhausted trying to catch the slippery William and dealing with the combined attacks of Mason and Hubert. Sophia yelled that she was ready and Hubert told her to hit it. Jacob couldn’t describe the beauty in seeing Sophia’s magical attack manifest. The sparkling orb of water rose into the air and magnified into a colossal sphere that dwarfed the giant monkey. It was unbelievable that a human had this much power at their hands now.

Hubert, Mason, and William all ran towards Jacob. Jacob already started moving his feet once he saw that thing fly up into the air. He knew that once a mage channeled their spell and got it ready, you better move quick. Friendly Fire was only possible if you’re an idiot or a murderer.

“Hahahaha! Send that big son of a bitch to a watery hell!” William shouted in support.

The monkey could only stare at the falling meteor made of water. It couldn’t destroy that thing as injured as it was now. Maybe if it was at full health, but now? Not a chance. The humongous ball of water crashed into the big monkey and its body was crushed without a chance of resistance. Water flowed like a raging tsunami through the jungle. Jacob and the rest of their party were forced to climb up the trees or be swept away by the waters. It was safe to say that Jacob’s worldview was changed by this sight. He previously thought that awakened were not all too different from humans. All that was different was that they had special abilities that humans didn’t. But after seeing this, the disparity in strength was too large to still be considered human. He would be lying if he said that he wasn’t excited to one day reach these levels of strength.

Everyone expected to be sent out of the dungeon any second now. Hubert was hugging the dead body of the boss to take it along with them as the dimension world collapsed. It would be worth a lot of money even in its horrible condition. Hunters could take certain things from the dungeons once the boss was dead as long as they were holding or grabbing the object in question. That was why it was vital to keep your porter alive during the dungeon. If he died, the team gained absolutely nothing and risked their lives for basically nothing.

Many hunters treat porters like dirt but that didn’t mean they would let them die or fend for themselves inside a dimension world. Porters were like living banks for Hunters. They held their valuables and it was the Hunter’s job to protect that bank from being devoured and ripped apart by monsters. Without Porters, the gain from dungeon runs would be far less than they are now.

“Why aren’t we gone yet?” William asked.

“I’m not sure...” Hubert responded.

“Are we sure the monkey’s dead?” Sophia asked.

“I’m sure!” Hubert placed his head on the dead monster’s chest and couldn’t feel its heartbeat.

“Then what’s going on?”

“What if... that monkey wasn’t the boss at all...?” Jacob suggested, his voice shivering from the possibility that something stronger was inside this place.

“That’s impossible... This is only an E-ranked dungeon, you know?” William responded, fright also taking him.

Then all of a sudden, a strange figure appeared floating in the sky above them.

“Care to tell me how you earthlings got past the barrier?” A small figure asked with a childish voice.

The sun was shining too brightly, no one could take a good look at what was flying above them.

“Since there are so many of you, it wouldn’t matter if I reduced you down some. Maybe you would be more likely to answer my questions then.” The sound of something piercing through the sky from above prompted them into moving.

Everyone except Mason. Who now had a small hole piercing through his chest.

“Huh...?” Mason fell without even realizing he died.

Sophia screamed, William vanished, Hubert grabbed Sophia and ran away, and Jacob fell to his butt. His senses were overloaded and he was scared beyond belief. Mason died just like that. He couldn’t even put up a fight against that thing in the sky. Jacob had no further doubts that the monster up there was the true boss of this dungeon.

“I guess you’re the lucky one that didn’t get away.” The monster floated down to him and stood right above him. Behind him, Jacob could see two figures dashing past him and most likely chasing after Hubert and Sophia.

Chapter 6

Raditz placed his hand on the earthling’s head and read his mind using telepathy. Memories of his life flowed into Raditz’s head. The life he was living, his goals, his will to live, and other such things became known to Raditz. But all he cared about was getting out of this place and information about this planet. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say he sucked his memories dry as nothing could be hidden from Raditz.

There was one thing he could say for sure. This planet wasn’t the Earth he thought it was. It was also possible that he wasn’t even in the same universe he died in. The way things worked here was far too different. Dimensional Hunters, mysterious dungeons in alternate worlds, monsters of all types, and more. Raditz had trouble keeping his Saiyan instincts in check. He wanted to see what kind of challenges this world could bring to his Saiyan blood! He wanted to conquer and take over it just like he’s done in the past! These dungeons could be his ticket to increasing his Saiyan power! Giving him the challenge, he needs to grow stronger.

“I have no further use for you now. Try and survive if you can. Heh heh heh...” Raditz flew off into the distance, leaving the weakling behind.

An earthling that couldn’t even defeat one of those weak monkeys alone wouldn’t be able to survive in this place. His death was all but guaranteed. Raditz flew off to catch up with the brats. They should’ve caught the other humans by now. If they haven’t, then he would need to increase their training to the next level.

----------------------------------------

“I want to keep the girl human Raditz. Can I? Can I?” Uriel begged like a normal child. Her bloody sizeable butcher knife that could behead cows and horses gleamed in the sun’s light.

“Play with them as you like. I got the information I needed.” Raditz told her. He crossed his legs and sat down with his arms crossed. Waiting for the dungeon break to happen soon.

“You and me are going to have so much fun! Kazuma never lets me have fun when we’re practicing.” She dragged the frightened human away while piss leaked from her clothes. Raditz crinkled his nose at the smell.

“Make sure to clean her up after you’re done playing with her.” He told her.

“I will!” Uriel replied.

“Let me guess, you want that one for yourself as well?” Raditz guessed, seeing Kazuma’s stare at the hairy man.

“It would help me know all the types of curses I can place right now. Knowing this would help me plan for the future against opponents.” He tried to reason as if he wasn’t as excited as Uriel was.

“If you want to use him as a toy, just say so. I don’t care what happens to these humans.” Raditz told him.

He smiled at hearing this and acted like a brat should when being given the freedom to do whatever they wanted. Kazuma motioned for the man to follow him. His line of sight met Raditz’s and Raditz grinned. Hubert followed the brat out of fear for life and Raditz was left alone by himself.

Or that is what he would say if he was really alone. There was still one more human sneaking around that believed he was unseen. William, the assassin, was watching him from afar. Most likely waiting for him to drop his guard so that he could assassinate him. This plan wasn’t bad. If Raditz was the same person he was before he died, it was possible that this man could’ve killed him. During that time in his life, he had yet to learn how to sense ki.

But it seems that William never had the courage to attempt and kill him. Days went by with Raditz leaving himself completely open while training and the assassin never went more than 15 steps near him. Not that it mattered, Raditz could still reach him instantly. No matter how far away he was. If Raditz wanted him dead, he could only die.

The brats, on the other hand, had much more fun with their humans. Uriel spared no mercy with the water mage she was given to play with. She wanted to find out how much did she stack up against a talented mage. She battled against the woman for days but it would be better if he said, played with the woman for days. Uriel faced off against every spell that Sophia could conjure until she could effortlessly deal with them without dodging or avoiding her attacks. Sometimes she also couldn’t control herself and mutilated the earthling in her excitement of getting stronger. By the end of her playing, Sophia was filled with scars all over her body and face with her mind being broken.

Kazuma was more careful with his toy. The past few days, he explored his innate magical ability as far as he could without letting his human die. Sometimes he had to ask Uriel to save Hubert from dying when he cursed the tank more than once. This only prolonged the man’s suffering as Uriel’s healing magic couldn’t get rid of Kazuma’s curses. The brats didn’t care though. All they cared about was honing their abilities and getting stronger. This made Raditz quite satisfied with his teachings. If they kept this up, they would definitely become useful allies he could count on in the future.

“The day, I escape from this jungle is coming...” Raditz could feel the weakening of the barrier but there was something that was bothering him...

He could feel a strange energy he’s never felt before inside the dungeon. This energy was unlike anything he’s ever sensed so far. It wasn’t powerful or massive, just unique and unfamiliar. He was curious. Where could such an energy come from? He’s searched this entire jungle and never felt anything like this. He had to find out just what was happening inside this place. He placed his index and middle finger on his forehead and vanished.

----------------------------------------

The dungeon boss left him alive... A monster as strong as that left him alive and laughed at seeing him. It was pathetic. Even the monsters inside the dungeons made fun of him. It pitied him and didn’t even bother killing him because of how weak he was. It pissed Jacob off but to be completely honest, he couldn’t be happier that being weak was the reason he was alive right now.

The warm tears running down his cheeks brought him back to reality. He was still alive. He wasn’t dead... He could still survive this dungeon as long as he makes it out of the fracture when it comes. Jacob wiped the wet liquid from his eyes and looked at Mason’s corpse. What happened to him was nothing out of the ordinary for a Dimensional Hunter. Death was something every hunter has to prepare themselves for when going into a dungeon.

Jacob still felt uneasy staring at his corpse. His eyes were still open and it was like he was looking directly at him. Still wondering just how exactly did he die. Jacob closed his eyes for him. No one's corpse should be left like that.

His equipment was still quite good but most of it would be too heavy for Jacob to carry around. If he needed to survive, taking Mason’s equipment would be needed. He couldn’t fight those monsters in just his jeans and shirt. While giving Mason a small prayer, he grabbed whatever he could to help him survive in the upcoming days. They might not have been close or friendly with one another but they were still humans in the end.

Jacob ran off into the jungle with minimal equipment and a shiny sword that he could barely lift. The tip of the blade dragged into the ground as he was moved. It was a lot heavier than it looked but it was the only means of defense he had. Well, besides his knife that he brought along with him as a weapon but that thing wouldn’t do anything but trim the fur off a monkey’s back. He also left the loot they gained as it would only hold him down. Greed would not help him in this situation. Having a calm mind and survivalist attitude would help him survive this and see his family again.

Trying to survive was a lot harder than Jacob thought it would be. In no time at all, he found himself in front of one of the monkeys. His fear almost overcame his will to survive when coming face to face with this monster. He stood there shaking like a frightened little girl before trying to run away from it. But it was impossible to run away while carrying the heavy sword, he tripped on a fallen tree branch while he was running and the monster was on top of him ripping into him with its claws.

Jacob fought back as hard as he could while tears ran down his face. He was scared for his life. He didn’t want to die! He struggled, punched, and kicked with all of his strength. The monkey was sent flying off of him and that’s when Jacob pulled out his knife and leaped on top of the creature. He stabbed and stabbed and stabbed his knife into the hollering beast’s neck. All his fear was moved to the side by his rage, anger, and the will to survive. He didn’t stop his assault until the monkey’s head was separated from its body. His breath was heavy. Jacob’s chest was rising and falling every few seconds.

Jacob never felt so tired in his life. He got up from the monkey and could barely see anything. Everything was blurry... His body felt cold... That didn’t make any sense... It was so hot in this jungle, how could he be feeling cold at all? Jacob tried to touch his forehead to see if he was sick and was stunned to see all the blood on his body. He couldn’t tell if it was blood from him or from the monster.

He felt like taking a nap after all that fighting but what if he had a concussion? He couldn’t go to sleep yet or he would never wake up again. But just a short moment of resting his eyes against this bush shouldn’t be too bad, would it? Before he closed his eyes for a short break, he saw a pink fruit inside the bush. A quick snack wouldn’t hurt either... Jacob took a small bite of the bitter and sour fruit before falling asleep.

The fatal injuries he suffered were slowly being healed by the special properties of the fruit. Unknown to Jacob, if he didn’t eat that fruit before going to sleep, he would’ve bled out from the severe lacerations he received from the monkey. A type of monster that has never been seen before in this world as of yet. Jacob and his group didn’t think of why this might be as they were still regular E-class monsters that didn’t have any special traits about them.

It was sometime later before Jacob woke up feeling lethargic. He looked at the corpse of the monkey and heard his stomach grumbling. His stomach was telling him, yes but his mind was telling him no. One was vital to his survival and the other was his natural objection to eating strange animals. It wasn’t a hard choice to make in deciding which one he would listen to.

If Jacob was to give a rating on the monkey, he would give it a 7/10 surprisingly. He expected it to taste horrible and throw up after eating it raw but he was pleasantly surprised. This was without any seasoning. This type of monster would be very popular if people were okay with eating monkeys, which Jacob doubted because of their similarities to humans. Even in Japan or China where they eat almost any animal, he hasn’t read anything online about any cultures eating monkeys.

The next few days went better in Jacob’s opinion. There were plenty of water streams for him to take a drink of water from or bathe. He learned how to avoid the monkeys and sneak up on them. With Mason’s sword, it was easy to ambush the lone monsters and kill them with one strike. It wasn’t always easy though, there were many times where he failed to muffle his footsteps and had to run for his life from groups of monkeys.

He lived on a diet of monkey meat, insects, and fruits. Bugs being his most frequent and fruits being his least. The fruits always came with a severe drawback after eating them which Jacob, unfortunately, had to find out in the worst cases imaginable. The number of times he almost starved to death or nearly died because he had no strength remaining after consuming the special fruits was far too many. This didn’t mean he didn’t keep a small number of them in case his life was in danger.

Today, Jacob was exploring a hidden cave he found behind a waterfall. He only noticed the cave due to complete luck. During a tactical retreat, he was forced to jump into the river and down the waterfall. He made sure to eat the healing fruit on his way down or there would be no way he could’ve lived after falling from that height. That was also one of the times he almost died from starvation. Searching through hollow logs and trees to feast on small bugs was how he survived that day.

Jacob walked into the cave and saw several statues lined up on the left and right of him. It was similar to a royal hallway inside this cave. The statues were of stone knights and mages carrying weapons. Looking into the well-sculpted eyes of the statues made Jacob feel as if they were undefeatable. The spirits of these men still seemed to live on today. Jacob respectfully bowed towards the many mages and knights even if he didn’t understand who they were. He could tell that they were strong and righteous figures that deserved proper respect.

In front of him, laid a giant door etched with mysterious symbols. This place wasn’t any ordinary area in the dungeon. As far as he knew, the only point of dungeons was to kill the bosses at the end. But what was all this for? A secret area for treasure like in some video game? Jacob heightened his senses in preparation for something bad to happen. Those hidden areas in games are always filled with danger. A high-risk, high reward type of thing. If he wasn’t careful, he could easily lose his life here.

Jacob pushed open the giant door. He was surprised that the door was so light. It was almost as if the door opened itself for him. The room ahead of him was a large hall filled with even more statues than the ones at the entrance. His body nearly froze when he saw them all. He felt like they were all staring at him and that terrified him. Rubbing the fruits hidden in his bag for insurance, he mustered the courage to go forward.

His eyes focused on the shiny crown resting on the head of the statue on the throne. There was no doubt that that was his treasure in this place. But he also had a strong feeling that once he placed it on his head, something horrible was going to happen immediately after. The shine and allure of the crown was seemingly beckoning him to come and grab it. Jacob couldn’t resist the temptation and his body moved forward without his control.

He made it to the throne and grabbed the crown off of the head of the king's statue. His mind was properly muddled as he lowered it onto his skull and properly fitted it around his head. And that’s when an explosion went off inside his head. He blacked out and indistinct and blurry memories ran through his head.

“Take my legacy, human, and surpass me! Become the new king of the Klenark and show the world that my race isn’t finished yet!”

“All Klenark need hosts to survive! But you cannot surpass me just by being able to create my brood. I’ll give you something extra for being so respectful to my men.”

Chapter 7

After using Instant Transmission, a technique he learned from watching Kakarot on the purple alien’s planet, Raditz appeared in some sort of large room. In front of him laid the source of the strange energy he sensed earlier and was shocked to realize it was that weakling from earlier! It seems he somehow survived and acquired a new power. Along with gaining an unknown ability, he was also attempting to leave through a strange portal!

“Where do you think you’re going?!” Raditz lashed out by teleporting in front of the earthling and attempting to grab him.

But just as his hand was about to reach him, he was swallowed up by the portal. Leaving Raditz all alone inside the empty throne room. He tried sensing the strange energy of the Earthling but it was as if he completely disappeared from this world. His anger was rising at allowing the human to escape but with the sudden collapsing of the statues around him distracted him. This place was about to cave in.

“Jacob, was it? I will find you again and see just what type of power you gained from here.” Raditz vowed.

He placed his index finger and middle finger on his forehead and disappeared from the cave. Raditz teleported behind Uriel and Kazuma, scaring both of them when he placed his hands on their shoulders.

“The barrier is down. Get what you need before we leave.” He told them.

“Are we going to become Dimensional Hunters Raditz? Can we?!” Uriel asked excitedly.

Raditz shared the memories he gained from Jacob with the brats. So, they knew as much information as he did about this planet.

“The humans won’t allow monsters like us to become hunters. We might need to find a way to sneak into dungeons or hide ourselves as humans.” Kazuma thought aloud.

“We won’t do either of those things.” Raditz grabbed the large porter backpack and heaved it over his shoulder.

The brats shoved their stuff into the various pockets inside. Raditz grabbed several of the fruits they hoarded and put them inside with some other miscellaneous objects. They would be worth a lot of money if he can find the right person to sell them to. Not the fruits as they were priceless in Raditz’s opinion even with their severe side effects. He was thinking about the metals, rocks, gems, and other materials he’s gained from the monsters inside this dungeon.

“If anyone dares to try and stop us from entering a dungeon, we’ll beat them to death!” He laughed.

“But what about those B- and A-ranked hunters? Even you’re not strong enough to face them Raditz.” Kazuma brought up.

“We fight and then run when we’re about to die.” He answered, thinking of the power boost his race gets from being brought to near death.

Raditz knew his limits. From what Jacob knew of B- and A-ranked Dimensional Hunters, they were capable of beating him easily right now. Even with the new techniques, he’s practiced, he still didn’t stand a chance of winning unless it was a Healer class hunter. But they had nothing to fear in his opinion. He had the perfect technique for preserving his life and the perfect comrade to save him from the brink of death.

“Okay!” Uriel responded.

“What if we can’t run...?” Kazuma asked with a gulp.

“Beg for mercy and when their guard is down, hit them with everything you have.” Raditz told the cautious brat.

----------------------------------------

“We got monsters incoming!” A man dressed in military garb shouted to the hundreds of other men in similar clothing.

“Fire with everything you got!” A hail of bullets fired upon the raging monkey swarm leaving the golden portal.

The bullets damaged the monsters but normally weapons like these weren’t enough to kill dungeon beasts. It was different when it came to missiles, rockets, and grenades. These could kill a dungeon beast if they were lucky. That is why once the soldiers ran out of bullets for their gun, they reached for the explosives they brought and tossed them into the sea of simians.

They had days to prepare for this dungeon fracture. The soldiers were ready to defend against the wave of monsters. It was just unfortunate that they didn’t know exactly when the dungeon was going to break or when the hunters inside would die. The hunters they had stationed here suddenly went off somewhere else after complaining about how they didn’t have hours to wait on stupid monsters. It was infuriating to the soldier in charge that he had to rely on some brats with powers to save them but that was just how the world worked now.

“Men! Release the incendiary grenades and retreat! I’ve got word the hunters are arriving within minutes!” The leading soldier yelled.

A wave of red soared towards the raging monkeys who were tearing apart any unlucky soldiers that didn’t manage to retreat in time. Their claws were like long razors, they could slice through a man as if he was made out of butter! There was no chance that normal people like them could fight with those monsters up close. The monkeys’ strength was also unbelievable, cutting through concrete was child’s play to them.

The fire spread from monkey to monkey. Fur was very flammable and with all the monsters being grouped up together, it was easy for the flames to jump from beast to beast. The fire wouldn’t be enough to kill them despite how much the soldiers wished it would be. They let the Special Weapons Division step forward with their weapons and fired into the crowd of monkeys.

The shockwave from the explosions did heavy damage to some of the monsters but it wasn’t enough. There were still too many coming towards them while on fire. They had nothing else they could use to possibly slow these beasts down. The leading soldier cursed as his grip tightened around his pistol.

“If only we had information on what kind of monsters would be coming out, then we could’ve prepared better for this fracture...” He angrily spat before looking into the distance and seeing his men fidgeting and frightful. ‘Where the fuck are those god damn shitty hunters when you need them?!’

“Fall back, men!” He ordered.

He didn’t want his men to lose their lives over something like this. They shouldn’t have even been pushed into this situation. The damn hunters were supposed to take care of everything. They were just here to prevent as much civilian damage and property damage as possible. This is another reason why they came with light equipment.

“Did somebody call for a hero!?” A sudden figure cried as they crashed into the middle of the monster swarm.

Monkeys were launched into the air from the impact of his crash.

“Come and get some!!!” He yelled out, causing all the simians to focus on him. It must have been a skill he gained when he awakened.

He brandished two axes and started to slice through the beasts like paper. A human juggernaut descended and began to rip through the monsters. Their claws did little to his body and only left light red marks. Seeing this sight caused all the soldiers to be completely stunned! Their bullets did basically nothing but here this barbarian was doing what they couldn’t do even with several explosives!

“Starlight Ray!” A beautiful woman dressed in a purple robe covered in stars cried.

Her small star-tipped wand unleashed a powerful beam of magic that ripped apart any monkeys caught up in the laser. She blew a kiss to the reporters recording the scene before turning around to kill more beasts with her magic. The reporters were shocked by her beauty and fearsome power.

“It’s Miss Star! The famous C-ranked beauty that has been climbing the hunter popularity polls like its nothing!”

“Make sure you record her! Our views will explode if anything sexy happens!”

“Record Mighty Max the Barbarian! He’s the hunter who is most likely to reach A rank within 5 years!”

“Tommy! If your camera isn’t pointed at Blood Edge in the next 5 seconds, you’re fired!”

“I’m trying sir! He’s just so quick!”

Blood Edge was like a ghost as he disappeared and reappeared all over the battlefield. His dual dagger striking at any vital point he spots before vanishing in a puff of smoke to the next monster. Despite the hunters not working together at all, they cleanly wiped out the monkeys without any issues. The Dimensional Hunters themselves were surprised at how easy the monsters were. Everyone knows that Golden Portals are the most dangerous portals.

Golden Portals only reveal themselves after hunters enter inside them. They typically hide themselves as weaker ranked dungeons while in reality being far more difficult than the portal they disguised as. It's expected that any hunters that get tricked into entering a golden portal will have a 90% chance of dying. Information about these rare types of portals is still under investigation. But there is one thing known about the dimensional worlds inside the golden portal. To escape, the Dimensional Hunters must kill the boss inside the dungeon. If the raiding party dies, the dungeon fractures.

“For a golden portal fracture, these monsters were pretty damn weak huh?” Mighty Max said.

“I could’ve shown off a bit more if these nasty little things weren’t so weak.” Miss Star complained.

“Hmph. Nothing can escape my blade.” Blood from the fallen beasts swirled around Blood Edge.

“Hey, what’s that?!” A reporter pointed at the golden portal.

Everyone’s eyes moved to where she was pointing. From the portal, three small figures could be seen walking out of it.

Chapter 8

“Children?!” Someone cried out.

“Record those weird fucking brats!”

“Wait are they monsters?”

“Is that a little angel?!”

“That’s a little devil and a little monkey human!”

“Kill the monsters before they kill us!”

“I’m not killing any kids.” Mighty Max placed his axes down.

“Killing those cute little monsters will only bring down my fame.” Miss Star also refused to attack.

“Tch. Weaklings. Never let your guard down.” Blood Edge vanished and reappeared behind the hedgehog-haired kid.

“Insect.” The child said to him before everything went white for Blood Edge.

“Oh my god!” A woman screamed.

“He blew Blood Edge’s head off! We need to get out of here!” The reporters started fleeing to a safer distance but they didn’t stop recording.

----------------------------------------

“What an annoying sight.” Raditz waved his palm and in seconds, most of the earthlings in front of him were reduced to ash with a gigantic explosion.

The shockwave blew his hair back as the remaining humans were shocked speechless at what they just witnessed.

“Don't be too surprised Earthlings, that wasn’t even my full power.” He smirked.

“Are we going to find a dungeon?” Uriel asked.

“No. We need a place to stay and do some other things first. Then we can focus on getting stronger.” Raditz flew into the sky. Uriel and Kazuma flew up with their wings and followed him.

“Follow me.” The trio of little monsters flew off into the distance.

----------------------------------------

The three dungeon monsters were completely unaware that the country was going completely nuts because of what Raditz did. News stations across the world were showing the video of Raditz casually blowing up several hunters and soldiers with a single magical attack along with easily killing the talented C-ranked hunter Blood Edge.

“Can you believe that?! Three C-ranked hunters taken out in a single spell!”

“It must be a B-ranked or A-ranked monster!”

“Impossible. It was still a child. Thoes three just got cocky and let their guards down like idiots.”

“Yeah... A child monster being strong enough to be classified as a B-rank or A-rank. That doesn’t really make too much sense.”

“It could if it was a Unique monster.”

“A Unique?! Are you fucking retarded?!”

“I’m just saying... It looked quite intelligent in the videos posted about it. Everyone knows that Unique monsters are highly intelligent, incredibly strong in magic, body, and skills, and have only been seen in Golden Portals.”

“You’re fucking nuts if you think that monster is a Unique.”

“Is it just me or is no one talking about the other two monsters next to the monkey boy!?”

“If only that little angel was older. She would definitely be my monster waifu.”

“Fucking freak...”

“The little devil was cute too... I would definitely show him the appeal of an older woman.”

“Oi! What the fuck is going on?! Am I the only one not attracted to some fucking monsters?!”

“You know, some rich people actually purchase humanoid monsters as slaves and fuck them.”

“No fucking way.”

“I’d believe it. Rich people are usually sick perverts.”

The craze around the three monster children was the most hype in the United States. This was where the dungeon fracture occurred. Citizens were on high alert due to the monsters lurking in their city. A curfew was placed to both protect the citizen’s safety and eliminate the dungeon monsters roaming around in their city. The Dimensional Hunter Association has issued a bounty on the heads of the three monsters that broke free from the dungeon fracture. They worked with the local police in hopes of finding these monsters and dealing with them for the safety of all humanity.

“What a load of shit. Forcing a curfew on us because a few people died.”

“I demand my freedom to move as I please!”

“Fuck the cops yo. Like I'm scared of some bitch ass baby monsters. I’d fuck them kids up with my Desert Eagle.”

“This is for our protection guys...”

“As a dimensional hunter myself, you guys should be appreciating the fact that we’re working to help you at all! Even the weakest monster can easily kill a human.”

“Nah fuck you man. Blood Edge was a retard who got himself killed and all our hunters suck because they can’t even find 3 children.”

“Japan’s Dimensional Hunter Association is way better than ours.”

“They would’ve found the little monsters within a week!”

“Why don’t you fuckers go and live in Japan then if you like it so much! If you don’t wanna be here, you don’t have to stay!”

There were some people in support of the curfew and some against it. Many arguments went back and forth about the curfew but the most important fact was that the three dungeon monsters were still inside the city a week after the dungeon fracture. No sightings of them have popped up since they first escaped from the Golden Portal. This caused many to feel uneasy and scared to even leave their homes.

They have seen what the spiky-haired monkey boy could do with a simple magic attack to hundreds of soldiers and dozens of hunters. Normal humans stand no chance against a monster of that level. Well, most knew that they stood no chance against the monsters in the dungeons. But there were a certain few that believed that all they needed to handle a monster was a good Remington 870 to the skull. And in a way, they were somewhat right. It was tested in a lab that a sufficient amount of force from a firearm could indeed kill a monster.

The video they uploaded to the public was quite gruesome and brutal but also very informative. They tried out several guns on captured goblins from a dungeon fracture. The scientists held the guns against the forehead of the green monsters and saw exactly what would happen. More than half of the guns on the market failed to kill a goblin at point-blank range in a single bullet, showing just how tough these creatures from another dimension were. It goes without saying that several other experiments were carried out by government-funded scientists that weren’t revealed to the public but most civilians didn’t think about this.

----------------------------------------

“And that concludes today’s news broadcast. Goodbye and goodnight.” Kazuma turned off the tv with the remote.

This past week for him has been spent gathering information about this place. He’s learned a lot watching television for so long. Humans were a lot more interesting than the monkeys back in the dungeon. This device that they called the internet was even more interesting than television though. He could connect with humans from all over the planet within seconds! The amount of information stored in this small box was more than he could have ever imagined!

It was all thanks to Raditz that he could even get ahold of this stuff. Raditz and Uriel took over the home of a relatively unknown hunter. They’ve been using him as a slave basically as they made themselves at home. He bought their groceries, cleaned their messes, taught them how to use toiletries, bought clothes, and generally anything they asked of him.

You see, he really cared about his own life a lot. As long as he could live, he didn’t mind being their slave. He even admitted that he hated being a hunter. Risking his life to fight against freakish monsters just to pay his bills for this large house, he didn’t want any part of it. Raditz didn’t even need to threaten him to keep his mouth shut about them staying in his home. Anthony looked happy being basically a maid.

This was useful for them. Kazuma himself basically used him to log on to the official Hunter’s association website and gather information about hunters, dungeons, and all things related to those two. He then shared his info with Raditz and Uriel as it would be helpful for them all to know these things.

It turns out that they were going to become something like dimensional hunters. Raditz was busy finding contacts in the underworld dimensional community. This took up most of his time and Kazuma was rather surprised to see that no giant news stories about him appearing anywhere showed up in the news or online. It seems he was getting things set up so that they can deal with dungeons without getting caught by the DHA.

Kazuma has no idea what Uriel was doing this past week if he was honest. She frequently left the house from time to time as she didn’t like staying in one place for too long. But this still didn’t help him understand where she has been going or what she has been doing. Sometimes she came back with a huge smile on her face while other times she was covered in blood and guts. Kazuma was actually terrified of finding out what she’s been up to and that’s why he’s been delaying the question all week.

Even though she’s his twin sister, after they started being trained by Raditz it was like she changed into a completely different person. He had a hard time recognizing her from the girl she used to be. But it wasn’t as if he himself hasn’t changed as well. Hanging around a person like Raditz will do that to anyone.

“Kazuma!” Uriel burst into his room with her cleaver in her hand, scaring him so badly he accidentally leaned too far in his chair and fell.

The giggling of his twin sister only slightly annoyed him. Just slightly. He can only blame himself for not keeping his mana sense up.

“It’s time to get our disguises! Come on!” She left just as soon as she came.

“Disguises? I guess Raditz found a way for us to sneak into dungeons.” Kazuma muttered.

He remembered him saying that they would beat any humans to death if they dared to stop them from going into dungeons. Kazuma guessed he changed his mind after sensing the power of the A-rank hunter who nearly found them when they first came into Anthony’s home. He himself definitely didn’t want to go against that outrageous power. Both him and Uriel were frozen in fear after feeling the mana of the top A-ranked hunter in America. Raditz had a different look on his face though... It was one of excitement. Sweat rapidly came out of him but a wide grin and a savage look stayed on his face. That was when Kazuma understood that fundamentally, he would never understand Raditz.

----------------------------------------

Chapter 9

“And you’re sure these enchanted masks can’t be detected by a B-rank or A-rank?” Raditz suspiciously glared at the short man.

“Haha. Of course, I'm sure! Put it on right now if you don’t trust me!” He replied with a big smile on his face.

Raditz did exactly that and felt his body on the outside changing completely. He could still move his tail but now instead of a brown hairy monkey tail, there was a rope belt wrapped around his waist. He was still in a childish body as the snake mask could not change a person’s general body shape or height, just their appearance. Raditz demanded a mirror from Tony and felt annoyed by his new appearance.

“And why do I look like this exactly?” Raditz asked.

“You wanted a look that wouldn’t suspect you of being a monster, right? Well with this look, no one is going to suspect you of being the very dangerous murderous wild-looking monkey boy seen on the news.” Tony said quite proud of the look.

Raditz felt like he should pummel Tony into the ground because of a disguise like this. But if it really works as well as he thinks it's going to, then there’s no point.

“Whatever. What about the other required information needed?”

“Ah, about that... The protection around hunter licenses is something a man on my level cannot deal with.”

“I only came to you because I heard you were the best Tony. Are you saying that the man known as the King of the Underworld cannot get 3 little cards?” Raditz said in a voice seeped with irritation.

“That’s exactly what I'm saying Raditz! I’m afraid the government is keeping a very tight lid around that. So, you will have to take the Official Dimensional Hunter test if you want to get a license to get in dungeons. There’s no other way they’ll let you inside a dungeon without one. Even with my connections and money.” Tony laid it out straight for Raditz.

“No Earthlings will be able to recognize us even with this test, right?”

“Not a chance in the world my friend! Unless you take off your mask in front of them all, there isn’t even the smallest chance of someone finding out you’re not human!”

Raditz didn’t like this development. He expected to be able to head straight into dungeons just with a little cash but it was a lot more complicated than that, annoyingly so... Fine, if he had to take some test that was a waste of his time, he’d do it. He knew that Tony wasn’t lying to him or trying to trick him after the week they’ve gotten to know each other.

“Fine. You give me the strong dungeons and I’ll give you whatever we find in them.” Raditz said.

“Ah, before we shake hands on our partnership, do you think you will need a porter or do you already have one?” Tony suddenly asked.

“I don’t.”

“Great. Great. That’s all I wanted to know.” He held his hand out.

Raditz shook it and their partnership was established. Tony gave him the other 2 animal masks along with information about the Dimensional Hunter test. Aside from giving them basic information about themselves at the counter of the building, all they’ll need to do is pass the test and they’re hunters. There’s no age limit due to how understaffed and overworked the Dimensional Hunter Association is. Tony told them they might ask him where his parents were and all he needed to say that he was an orphan or that they were dead. That’s usually good enough for them to not need a parental signature.

“I’ll get back with you in a week, Tony.” Raditz turned away and started walking out of Tony's lavish business office.

“Good luck on your test! And tell twins, I said hey!” Tony said.

Raditz didn’t respond. Once he made it out the door, he teleported back to Anthony’s house. The Earthling leapt into the air like a scared cat once he spotted Raditz inside. Raditz smirked at the sight as he questioned him where the brats were.

“Who are you?! Are you from the DHA!?” Anthony questioned Frightened.

“It’s me, Raditz.” Raditz explained, satisfied that Anthony didn’t recognize him.

“Oh...” He grabbed his rapidly beating heart. “You looked so different, I couldn’t tell.”

“The brats?” Raditz reminded him of his question.

“Kazuma is on the computer. Uriel is taking a shower at the moment.” He answered.

Raditz took off towards Anthony’s old room. On his way, he passed by a fully dressed Uriel in Earthling’s clothes. She jumped just like Anthony did at the sight of him but he soon told her telepathically who he was.

“Wow! That disguise is really good! I would’ve never recognized you, Raditz!” Uriel told him.

“Go get the boy. I have your disguises too.” Raditz said.

It was still daylight out, so there was no reason why they wouldn’t go take the test now. She ran off and a little bit later, Kazuma was right behind her with a bump on the back of his head. Kazuma looked at him strangely upon sighting him. Uriel whispered something into his ear and the next moment his eyes were bulging out his head.

“These disguises must be very good if that kid is Raditz...” Kazuma muttered.

“Follow me.” Raditz told them after throwing them their enchanted masks.

“But Raditz the Official Dimensional Hunter Test doesn’t begin until Friday.” Kazuma brought up.

“So, you know?” Raditz asked, not too surprised.

“The DHA likes to test all the potential hunters at once and evaluate them together. Famous guilds in the area will be watching the hunters along with the judges from the DHA. If any of the guilds spot a particular participant that catches their eye, they’ll try and contract them into their group after the testing.”

“What kind of test?” Uriel asked with a sparkle in her eye.

“It changes every week but usually it’s a test with 3 phases focusing on a particular attribute. The attribute can range from strength, speed, survivability, endurance, fighting ability, intellect, or just mana.” He explained.

“Sounds exciting! I can’t wait for Friday to come already!” Uriel shouted.

“Don’t slack on your training. Especially you Kazuma. I’ll be back Friday.” Raditz told them before using Instant Transmission.

Raditz planned to spend these next 4 days training in an isolated location away from any Earthlings. He couldn’t spend this time doing nothing but waiting. It would be a waste of his time and a waste of his new life! His progress in ki control has been coming along quite well, it was his pathetic child-like body that was the problem. His goal before Friday was to increase his body’s strength and nothing else.

----------------------------------------

“Hmm. What should I do today?” Uriel asked herself.

Kazuma went straight back to his room, leaving her all alone. With her new disguise she could leave the house anytime she wanted instead of just leaving at night time. Last night she went out to practice with her healing magic and found herself on the news this morning. Apparently, they called her the Mad Swinging Slasher. She wasn’t feeling that name at all. They could’ve picked something more fitting like The Pretty Slasher or The Cute Cutter.

Maybe today she’ll just see what humans do for fun when they’re bored. Uriel left the house in her disguise and walked to the inner city. The humans saw her as a normal-looking child without wings or a halo. Her disguise showed her wearing a hat, shorts, and a blue backpack. Since her wings were folded, if anyone touched her wings by accident, they would just think they touched her backpack. Uriel wondered if they could feel what her halo or wings felt like with this disguise. She groped her hat and backpack and was surprised at how they felt exactly like a backpack and hat would. Enchantments were amazing!

“Excuse me, little girl, are you lost?” A middle-aged man wearing a hat asked her.

“No. But do you know any fun places around here? I’m looking for something to do.” Uriel asked the adult human. He wasn’t a hunter as she couldn't sense any mana from him.

“Oh, I know just the place you’re looking for! Come on. Follow me.” He said nicely.

“Sure!” Uriel responded.

He took her through the city with a pleasant smile on his face. He asked her all sorts of questions that made Uriel wonder if all humans were this nice. The man asked her how old she was, where were her parents, if anyone knew where she was, and if she had a phone on her. Uriel had no reason to not answer his questions, he was very nice. Kazuma taught her how to respond to most of these questions if she was asked them.

Uriel was taken through several dark alleyways and small buildings before making it inside a strange white car. The man told her to put on a white rag around her eyes as it was going to be a surprise.

“A surprise?” She questioned.

“Yep! The place you’re going to go is going to be so fun! You’re going to love it there Uriel! There’s going to be so many other girls your age there too. It’s going to be a blast.” He told her.

Now she was getting excited. This place sounded really fun. He still didn’t tell her what was so fun about the place or what is there but seeing him so excited made her believe that it had to be the best place that humans have fun. After a while of just sitting in the car, patiently waiting. It came to a slow stop.

“Can I take this blindfold off now?” Uriel asked.

“In just a moment! Once we get inside, you can take it off and have all the fun you want. Come on take my hand and follow me.” His hand covered hers.

Uriel was a bit grossed out by his sweating hand but didn’t say anything about it. The human led her to a fun place and they wouldn’t see each other again after this. She only came out today to see how humans have fun anyway. Once she’s had her fun, she’ll return back to the house and tell Kazuma all about her day.

“Kazuma’s going to be so jealous once he hears about this.” Uriel muttered as her blindfold was taken off.
