Evolve

This hallway in the school held 8 classrooms and we are the 6th at the end away from the entrance. The classes before us were opened and shut with people looking through at me now as I blocked their view to the other end of the hallway. The closer I got the more my heart hurt and beat with such ferocity and fear flooded my body, but the fear did nothing but bring a weird smile to my face a jubilation and excitement fill me. The 3rd classroom door was open, and blood flowed out of the room into the hallway. The screams lessened while the sound of a club smashing flesh came from in the room. I walked step by step not knowing what I’m going to see. The closer I walked the more the smell of blood hit me, the smell assaulted my senses making me queasy and a little dizzy, but my body adrenaline kept me from passing out and it kept my body full of strength and not weakening when facing this horrifying situation.

I stepped on the blood and no matter how much I tried to keep quite the sound resounded as I stepped into the liquid. Every splash sound made me tense up and shake with energy and fear as I got into fight of flight mode described in class.

The creature continued to bash the body not paying me any mind and I assumed it was tired as its bashing became weaker and weaker before it was barely able to make the squishing, crunch sound it made with every swing. I finally walked into the classroom and got full view of the class. The seats where we sat all year laid on the floor in a mess as people ran away from the monster, there was about 11 bodies in here while 2 bodies of the Goblins lied with no life as there were visible blue bruises and broken bones on them from what I assumed to be from the guys who laid dead at its feet.

The last Goblin pulled something from the last guy who he continually beat with the club. An orb the size of the grain of rice was pulled out from the dead guys head. What it was and how the goblin found that little thing from the body of the guy baffled me, but it wasn’t the biggest concern right now. The goblin who looked like it was running on fumes ate the orb that had blue energy swishing around like the ocean inside. The goblin seemed to regain energy once it consumed the orb of energy as I’m going to call it. Its body contorted as It grew gradually becoming my size, muscles which seemed like steal shook underneath its green skin growing and evolving with intense ferocity. The goblin screeched with pain as it all took place, I could gather that this process neither logical nor painless it seems.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

Overcome with a desire to kill It before it finished its ‘evolution’? I rushed over and picked up the club from the floor something too small for my hands but useful nonetheless. The Goblin looked at me with anger in its eyes, disdain even. Surprised by its sentience and intelligence I paused for a second but, only for a second. I beat the Goblin over and over, crunching sounds and squishing sounds came from its body as I beat the thick small club over its body with primal anger and ferocity.

The Goblin regained some control of its body as It slashed at me with its sharp nails giving me a deep gash on my legs. Stunned by the pain my mind gained clarity as fear overtook me but the moment its did the primal anger took over and the desire to survive, I regained my courage and continued to bash its body and head. The blood which flowed out of me made me weak, and weaker. Luckily the slash from the Teenage Looking Goblin seemed to be a final struggle from the Goblin an either you die, or I die. The Goblins eyes shut, and its body stopped thrashing around from the pain as it twitched from the excess energy in its body. I looked at the Goblin feeling proud and happy yet sad and fearful.

The complicated emotions couldn’t stay for long as I dropped to my knees before falling over on top of the battered Goblin. The gash that the Goblin gave me seemed to be much deeper then I originally thought, my white bones showed through the ripped skin and muscle. How I continued to fight despite that made me wonder. It seemed the blood gushed out at a faster rate when I overexerted myself in the fight making me lose too much and now that the adrenaline wore off the pain and loss of feeling hit me making me unable to stand. With the adrenaline gone my conisounsess was clouding and fading as death overtook me. “This is how it ends, huh?” I said weakly as my consciousness was completely shut off. Everything became deathly still as the ruckus from the fight died down with the death of the goblin and Drake.

Everything was over until a faint, but noticeable yellow energy transferred from the Goblins body to the still body of Drake.
