THE FIRST STORY? CHAPTER 1

Our starts in a very strange town in the country, now for the most part its an average town aside from all the weirdos who seem to find joy in showing the rest of the world they don't need them for anything aside from games and movies.

Now i know what your thinking ‘What about power, internet, food, water, and most importantly Bathrooms?’ Well in answer to your question about power we rely on wind, and solar power.

As for food we have plenty of meat just running around in the woods not counting the ranchers and farmers around the town so no need to worry about that. And water well we are sitting on one big reservoir that belongs to the town and the residents its nice and clean and then theirs the plumbing well were do you think fertilizer comes from?

What? I forgot something? What did i Forget? hm...... Oh The internet yeah as for internet we have our own personal internet provider in the form of our own personal satellite and wireless system.

Now obviously we still get many of our appliances and comfy chairs from outside the town but still aside from that and a few other things we are for all intents and purposes self sufficient. and yes we have regular jobs.

Now the weirdest thing about the town would be that there is smack-dab in the middle of town 'along with a k4-12 school' are 4 large buildings were people seem to always be entering and exiting

1: A blacksmith combined with a large bar,

2: A carpenters combined with a small bar

3: A large library with a large tea and coffee bar

And Strangest of all is a large nay huge building that as far as everyone can tell for whatever reason looks like a Shaolin Temple or something. Its the 3rd oldest building in the town and the other 2 are inside its grounds. The people in these building aside from the library teach anybody there craft for free and the Temple thing is also an orphanage.

Oh and before you get any ideas no im not an orphan and no im not the son of the carpenter or blacksmith and no im not a child of one of the masters at the temple and a acolyte.

Now lets tell you about myself, Im 24 years old, im 6 feet 7 inches, More brown than blond hair, blue eyes, everything else think lots of Irish+a little Scottish+a bit of English+very very little Native Americans.

According to my mom ive got all the best and some of the worst quality's of the Irish Scottish and southerners in my personality and body. According to her ive got the deceptive calmness and joy of The first 2, the anger of all 3, the protectiveness of all 3, the liver of all 3 and the love of the same music of all 3, ive got the loyalty, the family,y the pride, the courage, and the goddamned stubbornness of all 3 and the same memory for money, women, friends, and enemy's that all 3 have.

The one thing i can beat all 3 of them in is the ability not to drink at least a barrel a day of beer or whiskey. Oh i can i just choose to save it for st. Patrick day.

My family is large middle class family we arnt rich but neither are we poor. We are a happy and when i said large i meant large lets see i have about 30 cousins or so, 14 aunts and uncles, 3 siblings and that's just immediate family im no getting into grand uncles and aunts and there kids. I like books, martial arts, books, fishing, Japanese folk-lore , books, and i know 5 languages Irish, Scottish, English, Chinese, and Japanese.

Well anyways im just rambling now so on to the story. You see in 3 days or so a new game is going to be released, Its called Orbis Terrarum and its the first Virtual Reality game. well when the town heard about it and read some things about it and watched a trailer or 2 of it we as in everyone in town including those guy in the temple decided to pre-order it and since everybody was going to get it anyways, The mayor decided he would just bulk order the capsules for everybody 16 and older. Well as i was saying though the official launch was in 3 days the pre-order launch was today. Oh and just to let any-body with the power to read minds now this was all an inner monologue to pass the time so see ya.

“Ok. Earl time to have some fun.” I said while smiling like a maniac Irish Alcoholic at a brew master convention as i got in the shiny capsule and turned it on.

When Earl was connected to Orbis Terrarum, the first sound that reached his ears was a feminine voice.

He looked around to see who had spoken to him, but there was no one else; a space within the universe. Then he realized that he was in the middle of the activation process of a new account.

“Yes!”

Raven, Always Thought of as a trickster they are one of the few birds thought to be as wise as owls. To Earl it sounded perfect for him.

Orbis Terrarum offers forty-nine races, ten of which are open to the public and others will be released throughout various events within the game. But as you are among the first 100 users to log on you may choose from hidden races if you can call out any of there characteristics.

… “Can i be a half-breed, and may I choose both of the races that make up the race?”

Earl had played and used many different races in several other Fantasy games. Many of them were great but he wanted a race he could call his own in this new world. and also he just wanted to look awesome.

Earl was a little worried they would say no and He would get the default race

Due to you are being the first official registered user the developers have decided to allow you to become a half-race. Be warned, combining certain races may give disadvantages to your finalized race which may result in penalties which could be both permanent or temporary.

Earl understood that any form of a penalty could be a disadvantage to him in the long-run, but after much thought he came to a decision and decided to keep to his decision of being a half-race

--”Are there any spirit, divine. or demonic races available? Preferably wolf or fox related?

The AI was silent for a moment, probably searching the server information network for such races. Before long, the AI replied and came up with a few options for Earl which consisted of the legendary fabled Kitsune (fox) hailing from the east its cousin the Okami the mountain spirit (wolf) and a few others. Earl Immediately gave his reply.

---”May i be a half-Kitsune and half-Okami”
