AN: So for those that are reading this i have bad news... I kinda got the new IPhone on Saturday and i was way to excited to remember that i had the first 15 or so chapters written out on my old phone. Thus i lost everything and must start over without the story seeming too rushed. But here is a little something, i would love to write more but i'm busy with school and therapy for my neck and back and then i work a part-time job at night so i'm doing my best as of right now. Without further ado i hope you enjoy and any advice on how to improve is always welcomed.

Out in the hall with the group of men. Our King had finally stopped pacing back and forth. Instead he had his up against the door to try to listen in on the voices inside.
Marvin walking up behind the kind and in a hushed voice "Your Majesty can you hear anything"
"Hmmm, not quit but..."
In the middle of speaking the door swung wide open and one of the midwives approached the king smiling brightly "congratulations your majesty you have your first heir"
""".........."""
Everyone was completely silent for a few seconds and then """Wooooooo""" almost at the same time all the men started yelling and started praising the king "congratulations my liege" Marvin was the first to run up and hug the king like the bear he was. Everyone could see just how close these two were cause if anyone else tried to pull the same stunt like Marvin. It was in full jurisdiction for the king to lop off his hands for touching him without permission.
While all celebrating with pats on the shoulder and back there was a very anger but weak voice that came from the room "You morons you didn't do anything but stand outside. What are you praising him for?" While peeking into the room the Queen was leaning back holding the newly born child in her arms.
The king instantly walked towards his wife staring at the bundle, arms open in order to try to pick him up. With the most serine face ever, the king had a smile from ear to ear as he looked at his first born son.
But something was wrong! It was only a slight glance but the king noticed that when his child tried to open his eyes there was no irises.
“Hmm? That's strange” but just to be sure the king reached down and tapped the child on his nose. He instantly became irritated and started flailing his arms and legs but when he opened his eyes the Kings heart almost stopped!
Blind, his first heir was blind!
'No, no this can't be! He can't be blind! The gods truly despise me.' The king was shouting in his mind and little did the king know he had an obvious frown on his face.
When the maids saw this they all froze, especially the midwives. It was very common for nobles to punish the maids and midwives for a problem with their children but they could also be heavily rewarded if there was a perfect birth with no problems. This profession was a double edged sword, it's a gamble with fate. There was one time when a midwife was rewarded the title of a Baroness and given a substantial amount of land. This was all due to the fact that the child was born with a rare body that granted affinity with four different attributes, one of them being metal which is very rare for humans.

"Even with this major setback if he works hard, he could be like one of those wondering blind swordsman. Or even better a powerful wizard." It had seemed like an eternity for the maids until the king let out a long sigh and spoke. To them this was a blessing in disguise because it seemed they wouldn't be put straight to death and might just get off with something superficial like 50 lashes or being expelled from the palace.
"Why are you talking about my child becoming a blind vagabond?" The Queen once again spoke up.
"Not a vagabond a swordsman, you know it's very disrespectful calling them..."
Cutting of the king mid speech "I don't care who I disrespect. Don't call me child blind!"
"Have you not looked at his eyes woman? There's no color, no pupils how can he possibly see? Huh care to explain?" At this moment the king snapped and yelled. Even though he is used to his wife's back talking and smart remarks since they've been together for so long, this wasn't a joking matter. All fathers want their kids to be born completely healthy and grow strong. Especially when said child would grow to become the leader of a kingdom that housed millions.
Although it's possible to still become a great ruler or warrior. There will be various setbacks and difficulties due to having to have people conform to your needs and finding a very trustworthy advisor that wouldn't lie or get you to sign over all your assets. Which is near impossible.
At this moment Gilda stepped up and bowed while speaking "My lord I apologize for being outspoken at this moment, but my lady just gave birth not too long ago and she and the child need rest so I beseech you that your majesty doesn't yell. Also your majesty we would have informed you earlier if there was anything wrong with the child but if you look more carefully you'll notice that the young master indeed can see. As for the color of his eyes for some reason his irises are a pale silver, as for his pupils they too are a pale white so the blend in."
The king silently glared at Gilda he knew she meant well but as a king no servant should speak up to prove him wrong even if they were bowing their head. "Then why wasn't he opening his eyes?"
Still bowing "You majesty the young master was just trying to sleep."
