Chapter 1

Chapter 01 -

In a forest with huge canopy trees, a golden haired young boy was jumping from tree to tree and like a golden flash he rapidly traversed the forest, just slowing down when he reached the shore of a crystal-clear and extensive lake. In the middle of this lake, a white haired old man sat on an old wooden boat with a fishing rod in his hands.

“Grandpa Caos!!!”

The boy shouted while waving his hands, trying to draw the attention of the old man.

“The meal is ready”

Hearing the shout from the boy, the white-haired old man lazily turned around, revealing his wrinkled face and his keen black eyes filled with wisdom and at the same time extreme tiredness.

Upon seeing the boy, the old man gently smiled and waved back at him. He collected the fishing rod and slowly paddled towards the lake shore.

The young boy stood on the shore, observing the old man sluggishly paddling the old wooden boat. His intelligent and bright black eyes seemed to be pleading the old man to be faster.

“I am so hungry”

The young boy said whilst caressing his tummy, putting a pitiful expression on his face, but all of these weren’t enough to make the old man move faster.

He continued to paddle leisurely, feeling the refreshing breeze and the beautiful scenery surrounding the lake. After a few minutes, the old boat finally reached the shore.

“Come on grandpa!!!”

Running towards the old boat that just reached the shore, the young boy swiftly grabbed the rope attached to it and pulled, dragging the old boat towards the sand shore and tying it to a nearby tree.

The old man shook his head as he got out of boat with a small bucket in one hand and the fishing rod in the other.

“Silly child…Take this”

The old man said, handing the bucket to the young boy who promptly grabbed it.

“What do we have for lunch today, Indra?”

“Ohhh…I hunted that bear who was wandering around our campsite. He was quite a difficult prey, his body had almost no weakness, no matter how much I sliced him, he didn’t budged”

The young boy said with a happy smile plastered on his face as he happily walked towards the entrance of the canopy forest, swaying the bucket back and forth.

“If it had no weakness, how did you kill it?”

The old man asked, while looking at the back of the cheerful young child who wasn’t more than twelve years old.

“I remembered what Grandpa told me…‘Everything and everyone in this world has a weak point, you just need to find it…and then create an opportunity to counterattack’

The young boy said, trying to sound like an ancient sage as he shook his fingers.

“After remembering it, I started to look for his weakness and the only place that I found were his eyes”

“So I kept evading his attacks until I found an opportunity, then it was easy. I stabbed his eyes with the sword, until it finally pierced his brain”

The boy stuffed his chest and proudly said, but his haughty attitude didn’t last long. The fishing rod in the old man’s hand hit his head.

“Ouch…This hurts grandpa!!!Why did you do that?”

The boy said as he turned backwards to face the old man, but strangely, he found no one

“Ouch”

He felt the rod smacking the back of his head again, and when he looked back, his grandpa was there, solemnly holding the rod in his hand. Indra thought that he was hallucinating, while looking at his grandpa he felt no wind, no space…nothing, as if it all ceased to exist.

“Don’t forget…in front of true power, strategy doesn’t exist. You can’t hope to find your opponent’s weak point, even if you find it what can you do? You have no strength to counterattack; you will die if you have no escape plan...”

The old man said as he moved the fishing rod, piercing and slicing the air. The sounds produced from these moves were like thunder on a stormy night, and so fast that even the space seemed to distort.

“There are multiple ways to destroy or counterattack your enemy…”

“There are people who focus on speed, others who focuses on strength, others on developing their affinity to elements…but all of them are wrong. You have to master every one of them, you have to dig every inch of your potential, you have to master everything… or you will face a bottleneck at some point in your life”

“Unfortunately, It’s already too late for me…I have already treaded the wrong path”

“I just hope that you will surpass me someday”

The old man said as he turned around and started to walk, entering in the deepest part of the forest.
