With the plan now planned out of what we are going to do all we need to do now is act upon it. It is around 0000 hours or even 0100 hours who knows I don’t want to bother looking at my watch as I am looking into the stars of the outside world, the shutters that guard us from the flying mutants of the day slowly role back to either side of the sector and show the night sky that was changed as the stars before from stories of old where locked away due to the advancement of society but now they are free from such shackles and are free to do whatever. I wish I was a star when I was a kid just to be free from these horrors of the city but no matter how much I wished for it to happen it never came to me, I guess they stars deemed me as not one fit to be a star or I have yet to complete what my purpose for existing, I will never know until I turn into a star.

But what if those were not the reasons why they wanted me to be star but the actions I have done maybe they saw what I have done since that day of me being born to now they have watched me, maybe they knew why this is all happening. The more I see the stars the more I remember of being a child growing up in one of the sectors on the outer border of the city, me and my older brother would play out in green grasslands of outside but then one day when we were playing I fell into a pothole into a lab of strange creatures in great tall vats, boxes and cages, my brother then looked down the hole to see if I was ok he yelled and screamed my name until I answered back he then said that he was going to get father so I was alone for the time being and so being young and curious about everything the world had to offer I explored the old place.

While doing so I found a that would not open unless a scan of blood was give but due to me falling though the ground I was scratched and bleeding a little so a scan began to examine my blood and opened saying welcome Dr, Richard Thorn, I stepped back a little as I wondering how it knew my name but I walked through the door which lead into a great chamber filled with what I thought were decorations of skeletons for Halloween but later in life I now realize that were dead bodies, I moved forward and looked into a cell where a giant creature was lurking a mutant Wollger a cross of wolf and tiger although tigers were located some place faraway from where the city is located but it is possible that the wolves of this area and home cats evolved together and at some point became one but I am not a studier of mutants and how they become like this it was just what I thought as a kid. I stood there in shock and looked at in the dark brown blackish eyes, every second I looked further into what it is was thinking, felling, how it was going to act or so I thought, it then opened its giant mouth ready to bite my head off but then a spike of a porcupine or echidna shot through the beasts torso making move back away from me in pain of just what happened to it, then a jelly fish kind of creature floating but still moving then came behind it the tendrils of an octopus carrying the spikes it just shot, I looked up to see its transparent face, it then looks down to me lending a hand down to me like it was trying to help me out of this place.

My father comes around the corner and fires his gun at the creature and yells at me to run away from the creature as it is the thing from the announcements about it being something new and it is the thing that caused a sector on the other side of the city to fall, I tun to look at dad and see his top half disappear, my brother and mother soon turn the corner to face to ‘save me’ and the same fate that had befell my father befall them as well I did not know what to do I just stood there, wondering where mothers, fathers and brothers upper body went the creature then turned me away from the scene after realizing I was looking at the said scene, it then decided to carry me away from the scene to place that had more of the creature at that time I could not fathom the amount of them that were there at the time but looking back there were thousands of them millions maybe, but it carried me to the centre of them all to place me in front of a giant one of them but more feminine than the others around, after that I just woke up in my house with my older brother waking me up from my slumber, so it was a dream I had nothing real or true but later that day my whole family went missing due to unforeseen circumstances, I always believed that it was false that they would return and I would have a family again but that never happened so since the age of 7 until I was around 9 I found Liz, Isaac and Jacob to have as friends for life.

When I had found them I was happy but also lonely as well as we felt like a close nit family that helped me remind me of my lack of one and so carrying on the dreams of older brother who left me I wanted to become a solider and help last light in its finest hour of need but I need to be 12 to join so I had some waiting to do, during that time of waiting more sectors of the far side of the city were falling to the tide of new monsters called Aku-no but that was on the other side of the city not here where I was happy but then footage of said monsters came to light they looked exactly like the creatures I meet when I was younger but I just passed it down as nothing but they were different creatures but now I am older I can’t help but think that they are the same creature I saw when I was younger and that what if something had happened for them to do this on such a large scale to us or is it something I am just overthinking again, if there were something that did happen then what happened.

After looking into the stars for so long it became day and the shutters started to close again and the stars to be seen somewhere else on this place, and when the shutters closed the men started to wake like robots to a signal but I think it was the noise that it made when it closed that woke them, and so they are started to move around before the operation begins at 0800, so I stand from my seat and look towards each exit of the sector 1 leads to more territory of the Aku-no and the rest lead to other populated sectors of people, I just have to solider on I guess don’t worry about myself until the mission is done then I can worry about myself, and see if I can find a way to have myself come to terms with what I feel inside about people and the world that just has to wait until this is over, I see you are learning more faster than normal people do Richard my job has been done but make sure you never lose sight of yourself again yeah, what do you mean? HEY, CAN YOU HEAR ME!!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN!?

Damn him always keeping stuff to himself but if he said that then is he gone and fulfilled what he need to do, which was helping me find my true self? How was that helping me in the long run damn it because it sure does not help at all in my opinion, but if you are gone you ass it was nice having you around. While being lost in thought about what happened Kimber steps in wondering if I was awake, with him opening the door I look towards the sound to see who entered and found Kimber “something wrong Kimber” “oh I thought you were asleep so I came to wake you” “really? Well, I am awake so there is no need to wake me up” “yes sir, well it is getting close to 0800 hours so we got to get ready” he has a point and dismiss him so I can grab gear and dress, I was not naked but I did not have the right clothing on. After a good time of me doing me I walk out of my room down the stairs to the main yard of the FOB where a good portion of men were waiting but it is still 0700 hours so with the time we had we made for our positions to areas we had cut up.

North was where the main attack on a possible stronghold of the Aku-no, East, South, West were all meant to be blocked by my team so any escapees and reinforcements were to be stopped at all cost other wise we would fail with the plan after that we were to head into the service tunnels to head to other locations where possible Aku-no ‘Nests’ are located now ‘Nests’ is just what we are going to call Strongholds from now on, with that plan laid out it relays on communication of the teams and units to make success out of this plan we have made.

Now we just have to enact it and hope that whatever a particular famous historian said is not true and that quote is that of ‘a well made plan will not survive first contact with the enemy’
