Maria dashes out of the closed shop, out of the secret exit, and out of the safety of the hiding spot. Johnny and Alice shortly follow, worried about the so-called army catching up. "You guys are so slow!" Maria goes even faster toward the house, secretly wishing for the army to catch up. "Are you guys coming any time soon?"
"Yeah, when we have the time! It's kind of hard to catch up when your little brother is right there!" Alice points behind her. The gang is quickly catching up and firing, giving no mercy to Alice and her best friends. Alice is under heavy fire, due to all of the paintball snipers aiming right for her. "And he is shooting the very legs that are supposed to allow for my getaway!" Johnny runs up to her and grabs her off of her legs. "What are you doing?"
Johnny simply replied with a chuckle. "What were you doing?" He keeps running with Alice in his arms. Maria, far ahead of Johnny and Alice, keeps running, ignorant to the quick bonding that Alice and Johnny had. The house isn't too far in the distance, and Maria is almost there, but Johnny can not take the heavy fire anymore. He fell over as he threw Alice out of his arms and onto her legs. She picked Johnny up onto her back and tried the best she could to make it out of there. Now realizing the current situation with Alice and Johnny, Maria ran back, carried Johnny on her back, and ran as fast as she could with Alice right behind her. As they run into the house, lock the door, and board up the windows, the "army" surrounds the house with their guns at the ready. Johnny wakes up on his bed with new clothes right beside him. He's confused as he changes into the new clothes and finds President Boris and Alice in a locked room with Maria outside, arguing about the so-called "army" surrounding the house. Maria is worried about them and quickly fills Johnny in. "As soon as we came, President Boris saw us sweating and covered in paint. He told me to find you some clean clothes to wear and a clean bed to rest on. Alice was defending us and saying that there was some fight with some paint guns she was trying to stop. She said she was trying to stop it, but then, they followed her until they cut us off and we had to hide and run when we got the chance. President Boris got mad at her when he heard that she was in a fight. They've been arguing ever since."
"Well, we have to intervene!" Johnny knocks on the door repetitively until President Boris unlocks the door and opens it in a fit of rage.
"What do you want?! To make more random jokes, huh? Did you think that they were funny?"
"It's what you want, sir." Johnny walks past President Boris and over to Alice's side. "Sir, we apologize."
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"Too little, too late, kids." President Boris sighs as he leaves the house to talk to the kids. "Now, what is going on here?"
"Umm, nothing, Dad! We were just playing paintball with Alice and her friends!"
"Yeah, annoying friends!" A random kid snickers from the crowd. President Boris gives him a death stare and he immediately shuts up and apologizes.
"No more paintball, Blyke! You're grounded. Everyone else, leave! Now!" President Boris announces to the crowd as they walk away as they keep muttering words of disagreement. "Blyke, come here!" Blyke walks to his dad, groaning with angst. "Is it true that you were shooting at Alice, John, and Maria? With paintball guns?"
"Yeah. It was fun!"
"Oh, you're going to regret that, Shortstack!" Alice shows off were the paint got all over her hair.
"You messed up her hair?! That took, like, an entire day! You are to never to that ever again, do you understand me?"
"Yeah," Blyke whispers as his mood plummets. He sees his father looking for a respectful response, so he says, "Yes, sir.", but louder this time.
"Good because you're going to be grounded for three months for shooting at your sister."
"Aw, come on, Dad! That's not fair!"
"In fact, you're right! That isn't fair. You hurt your sister and her friends, you made them run at least a mile, and you messed up her hair! Three months to them is way too merciful, so now it's six months. Which is why they are in charge. Whatever they say, you do. Got that?"
"Dad! But!"
"No, buts, sir. This is final. You will treat them with the same respect you are expected to treat me with, is that clear?"
Blyke's face shows how his day went from worse to even worse. "Yes, sir." Blyke knows what this means for him. (Six months of torture) "This isn't fair!"
"And if you misbehave in the slightest, they will call me and tell me directly of what you did, understand?"
"Yes, sir." Blyke's punishment had never been as strict as this one was. "I understand."
"Good, because you will march up to your sister's room and apologize. Your punishment begins tomorrow, understand?" President Boris strictly told Blyke as he stood up and stretched. "Now go."
"Yes, sir," Blyke muttered as he slouched up against the stairs, smacked the door with his head, and apologized to his sister and her friends. "I'm sorry for what I-"
"Shut up, Shortstack. We're busy. Get out." Alice grunted as she shoved Blyke out of her room. It was true, John, Maria, and Alice were talking about much more important things than just punishment for Alice's little brother. Blyke didn't know what they were talking about, however, so he stormed off to his room in a fit of rage.
"I'm not a shortstack! I'm, like one-half of their height!" Blyke muttered and grumbled in his room. He was furious about his punishment. "Six months, more like six eternities!" He looked for his phone and realized that by being grounded, that meant no more electronics unless they were earned. It also meant no dessert unless earned. "Ugh! This just isn't fair!" Blyke screamed in his room for the universe to hear. He then laid on his bed, furious, and slowly fell asleep.
