Well! This took a bit longer than I anticipated. Sorry for that. But Volume 2 is now done! Hope it’s been an enjoyable read so far.
First things first, a huge thanks to Nighthawk and Cpl Isaac for proofreading my civilian writing. Trust me, if reading this is at all fun it’s because of them, plus Nighthawk helped with one of the illustrations. Huge thanks to Kaguracchi for the art as his illustrations really help bring the characters to life in my opinion, and hey, you can check him out on his Pixiv as he’s open for commissions. And of course, major thanks to dwa mro who has made an audio version of each chapter published up to chapter 16 of volume 2, added some images, and posted it on YouTube for all to listen, so… thanks a ton! Seriously, go give these guys some love if you can! They’ve more than earned it!

Now, this volume was mostly about showing the different tactics of both sides. Mostly mountain warfare in this volume until they got to the city. I really wanted to go over how two armies from different eras would fight one another. The army from the classical era wouldn’t just stick to charging at their enemies mindlessly, and while the modern army is more flexible they’re also limited by logistics, which makes the mountain warfare a little awkward until they can amass what they need.
Next volume should wrap a few things up so we can focus on other aspects of this world and characters and the alternate history which really took a backseat here for the most part. Hope to show more of the international reaction as well as how this alternate timeline expands a bit immediately given the year.
So thank you all so much for reading! I hope I can get the next volume out a bit more consistently. If there are any issues, or mistakes, PLEASE let me know! I see the comments marking corrections and truly appreciate the help!
Thanks again for reading! Hope to see you all soon!
