The Dominion corporation spacecraft is a very large ship with huge thrusters. The airstairs under its considerable wings. Inside, you see a hologram dedicated to Elon Musk “For The good of Humanity.” it says over and over. On repeat it seems.
Zonoah and Tina run into it again on the way over to Mars. ‘Neat. That’s how neat, that’s how neat this is.’ The Dark say.
Zonoah feels a prickly sensation in his back. He reaches for it but mid-way decides to ignore it.
“I feel a little sick.” Tina slouching as she walks. A hand at the top of her head. A head ache assaulting Tina. “A lot sick actually.”
“Must be the effects of Trinity vial, I’m starting to feel it too.” Zonoah looks to Tina. “Your definitively feeling it.”
Tina reaches for the wall of the spacecraft. The purse dragging along the wall with her. Zonoah steps in to give her an arm, a body to crutch herself.
They make way to their designated room. Tina collapses onto the bed, while Zonoah seats himself on the bed. His back itch more unbearable now than ever. So unbearable, that Zonoah takes off his dress shirt almost ripping it.
What Zonoah is met with is little wings. A small device of flight attached to his back. “What the heck is this.” He reaches behind him feeling the feathers.
Zonoah looks to Tina. ‘Unconscious already?’ He notices something parting her hair, and grasps toward her forehead. ‘Shes growing horns!’ Zonoah mentally exclaims.
The man looks to the mirror, rechecking his little wings. “Seems like they’re still growing.” He turns slightly to get a better look. “Will I be able to fly with these?” The connotations astounding Zonoah.
Before going to bed, he checks on Tina. ‘I’m not an expert at this, but I suppose this will do.’ He moves her body more toward the pillow of the bed. Zonoah feels for her pulse. ‘Going strong.’ The man notes. ‘We’ll see that you get a hat.’
After landing on mars, Zonoah and Tina go to have their inventory sorted. They land near the Dominion main base, as most Earth to Mars trips proceed this way. Later the group take another spacecraft traveling to their outpost, away from the Dominion main base.
Reunited with their gear; killing lightsword, trusty lightshield, and accurate phaser. Zonoah tries a couple of swings, ending with an air bash of the lightshield. The lightsword is a metal device that emits a beam, making it a deadly weapon. The lightshield uses the latest force-push shield technology that when deployed, the barrier pushes in a single direction, allowing for bullets to pass through behind the shield. The phaser is the latest gun that fires high-focus energy at the target.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Tina tests her backup kinetic weapon, a m4a4 modern weapon. Pulling the slide to make sure its empty, regular gun safety. ‘The guns are lighter than I remember.’ Tina notes, strength welling within.
There is knocking on the door of the storage room. “I’m from the Deep Corporation.” It’s a man with a grave voice. Zonoah moves to open the door. “Hiya, the receptionist told me you were down here. I’m Carson Silvis. The man moves to shake hands.
“Zonoah Luckner.” Zonoah Luckner completes the hand shake, and gestures towards Tina. “Tina Luckner.”
“So you guys are together?” Carson Silvis asks, surprised.
“Married.” Tina flashes the ring on her hand.
“Uncommon even for private military.” Carson says recovering.
“We aren’t like the common rabble out there.” Tina hints. Hand on her hat.
Zonoah rushes along the conversation. “Well lets get to it, your our combat medic I’m assuming, I asked for a darn good one.”
“You got a combat medic, and a doctor. Your combat medic is still on the way. Don’t say the Deep corporation doesn’t take care of you.”
“I can feel their love from the Moon all the way to Mars.” Zonoah says, offhandedly.
“Your combat medic name is Clint Abad.” Carson pauses, pulling out a notepad. He refers to it. “Joining you in zero six hundred hours. Hes had a bit of a temper in the past but is all professional ever since he joined up with the Deep Corporation, I assure you.”
“Good to hear, why don’t you tell me about yourself Doctor Carson.”
“Me? There’s not much to me, but my research however, the trinity medigun. Your going to appreciate what I have cooking up.”
“Medigun?” Tina surprised, asks.
“Did you know the trinity crystals also have regenerative properties? Carson explains, playing with his notepad. “We’re working to turn it into a concentrated beam vapor, that can heal large wounds during surgery.”
“That sounds amazing.” Tina says.
“That sounds phenomenal.”Zonoah says.
“Hopefully you won’t end up having to see it!, if you get what I mean.” Carson turns to leave. “Will that be all?”
“Another thing, how should I say this, we’re growings wings and horns respectively.” Zonoah points to himself and Tina collectively. “Whats your expert opinion on this.” Tina lifts up her hat, flashing her horns.
“The more you take trinity, the faster the maturity of mutation.” Carson puts away his notepad, hands in pocket now. “My advice is plenty of food and rest. Don’t be in a rush to reach maturity.”
“Thanks doctor, I suppose we’ll do just that in preparation of the mission tomorrow.” Zonoah rubs the back of his head.
“I would like to study your mutation on a case by case basis, but I must setup the new equipment that came along with me.” Carson feet pointing to the door.
“Of course doctor, we’ll let you go now.” Zonoah opens the door for Carson to leave.
After the doctor leaves, Tina moves to put away some of the equipment laying around. “We better get some rest for that mission tomorrow.” She says.
