“Where am I?” Tatsu whispered.

   The mysterious beeping noise made Tatsu disturbed. The hazy atmosphere and darkness filled the entire room.

   “Can somebody hear me?” he screamed with fear.

   Tatsu’s body is trembling because of the disturbing noise echoing around him. He fell through the void of darkness. Tatsu does not understand what’s going on.

   Suddenly, an unknown girl voice appeared out of nowhere and said, “Hang in there-”

   “Please help me,” Tatsu beg.

   Tatsu feels someone is hugging him gently. The complete darkness slowly disappears, and the light appeared.

   The unknown girl whispered, “Don’t worry; I’ll save you from your despair.”

   “Who are you?”

   “Please remember that I-”

  7:10 Am - July 2 2013

   Tatsu woke up out of fear and started looking around. He realised that it was just a dream.

   “Are those lucid dreams? It feels so real.” he murmured.

   Tatsu looked shockingly at the clock. He prepared his things hastily and ran immediately to his school. Fortunately, he arrived at his school before the bell rang. His body is trembling and sweating because he thought he would be late for school. Tatsu is anxious about making an excuse letter for his tardiness or absence.

   During Science class, Tatsu’s classmates are preparing for something, and it’s like something scary will happen. Tatsu wondered why his classmate acts strangely. He saw that his classmate is holding a bond paper. He remembered that there would be a reporting and his not prepared for it.

   The reporting activity time has come. Almost all of Tatsu’s classmate face, including him, is full of fear.

   The professor said, “Let’s start with Aika; the next reporter will be Tatsu.”

   All of Tatsu’s classmate feels relieved except for Aika and Tatsu.

   Aika reported successfully with no mistakes. Tatsu is going in front to take his turn. His body is trembling, and it sweats.

   “You may start now.” the professor said.

   “Ah... Good... Morning Everyone-” Tatsu said nervously.

   “It’s Afternoon.”

   Tatsu hesitated. “Oh, yes. Good... Afternoon Everyone-”

   Tatsu took him 10 minutes to report a four-sentence paragraph. The bell rang, and his classmate’s face is full of joy and reliefs. It frustrates the professor because Tatsu took a lot of time.

   Some of Tatsu’s classmate praised him, and it made him flattered. One of his classmates screamed, “You saved us, Tatsu”.

   It confuses Tatsu. Before the reporting, all of his classmates hoped that the bell would ring.

   Every lunchtime, Tatsu only eats by himself. He only has very few friends, but they don’t go to the same school. Tatsu thought that eating alone is better than eating in a group because you can thoroughly enjoy the food with no disturbance. Tatsu just really don’t have any friends to eat with.

   After school dismissal, Tatsu would go to the park and sat below the tree where the sunlight cannot see him. Tatsu brought out his notebook and pen from his bag and wrote a new poem.

   Every afternoon, Tatsu goes to the park to practice writing and drawing. The scenery of the park made Tatsu relieved and focused on his goals.

   Suddenly, a girl appeared out of nowhere behind the tree and said, “Hey.”

   The girl appearance made Tatsu scared, his eyes widened, and his mouth dropped slightly.

   Tatsu then found out that she is the most popular girl in the school. The girl scent, beautiful eyes and her curvy body attracted most of the boys in school, but Tatsu has no interest in her. Tatsu body started to tremble.

   Tatsu continued writing and stuttered, “What?”

   “Are you doing your assignments?”

   Tatsu hesitated. “Ah... No, I’m writing something.”

   “Oh, a poem?” The girl observed his hand.

   “How did you know?”

   “Um... I just guessed it.” She stuttered.

   “Oh...”

   The awkward silence fills the atmosphere. Tatsu is secretly blushing because it’s been a year since he talked to a girl excluding his mom. Tatsu thought the girl is observing him like something is wrong with him. The girl is secretly blushing too while sitting next to him.

   After Tatsu finished writing, he began cleaning his stuff. Suddenly, he hesitantly asked the girl for her name.

   “My name is Akari... Akari Hotaru,” Akari gushed.

   “Oh... ok,”

   “I’m going now. See you soon.” Akari left with a cheerful smile.

   Tatsu murmured, “See you soon? What-” his face blushed. Tatsu giggled for a while and walked to his home with a confused smile.

   After Tatsu arrived at his home, he rushed into his bedroom. He hanged his jacket into the clothes hanger and throws his bag at his bed. “SOON?!?!?! Does Akari have an interest in me? IMPOSSIBLE! What are her intentions with me?” He gasped. He covered his head with a pillow and rolled around his bed while remembering his moment with Akari.

   “AND WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED TODAY?! DID I JUST HAD A-”

   His mom suddenly opened the door with a mad face and whispered, “Can you shut up for an hour? We are having a prayer meeting.” She closed the door carefully.

   “Ah... ” Tatsu keeps thinking about their conversation with Akari until he sleeps. Tatsu forgets his dinner.

   What a fricking weird day...
