It was the third day of Sparring, the training for the day had just ended not too long ago. Within a secret chamber several of the influential people of the Kingdom were meeting. They were discussing the Heroes, though they were currently weak, they still held promise. The room was set up much like a modern office would be, but obviously without the modern amenities. The Princess was seated at the front of the room; the others were seated in front of her. She opened her mouth and spoke in her elegant and charming voice.
“I have called you all here to discuss the Heroes. We have hooks in many of them, due to certain actions taken when they were in the Town. However a few of them will not be so easy to coerce. Chief among them are the Ice Witch, Theresa Nicoletti and the girl name Mina. We believe the two of them have possible connections to Him, the former hero, but we are not sure. The Ice Witch seems to not suspect anything, which is good, but we believe that the other might be the ghost that has been frequenting the Dungeon; it is her or the Ninja. Any suggestions on how we should deal with her? Do not worry about speaking your minds here, I have had Veronica and the others enchant this room so as to prevent such things.”
The others in the room tossed around many ideas. They varied from executing her and making it look like an accident or assassination from the Demons to simply adding certain magicks that would restrict her actions in the castle. The discussions were getting heated when the Princess spoke up once more, her elegant voice silencing them. “While those are certainly good ideas, we cannot just kill her, or make it look like an accident or that the Demons did it. We have guaranteed them safety within these walls, we could lose those we have coerced if one of their peers goes missing or is mysteriously assassinated.”
She stood up then, and started pacing, elegantly, the dress she was wearing caught the eyes of the men in the room, most of whom were old enough to be her father, easily. “No, I have already thought of something we could do.” She paused as she sat down once more. “I assume you have all heard of the Dragon Prince?” At her words the others in the room began nodding. “It seems that he has a certain thing for those of his nationality or that look like it. In a few months when they go on their first training run through the Forest, we shall set things in motion.”
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
She paused to level her gaze at the others before she continued. “She shall disappear, making it look like an accident, and hopefully, if the Goddess Favors us, which she should considering we are ridding her Kingdom of one who carries the Blighted Darkness, after a few months of training, she will be suitable for being sent to him.” She stood up again and stretched sensuously as she continued. “This way we will rid us of a nuisance while also gaining ourselves an ally of sorts for when things change later. This is acceptable I assume?” At her words the others nodded and voiced their assent.
Below the Castle in the Dungeon, Victor was having a conversation with his Shadowy friend. He was lying on the table, though both eh and it were much cleaner than before. He was speaking lazily. “Why do you hold such an interest in me, little one? I hold few memories of the old world, due to what turned me into what I am, but you seem familiar. Well as familiar as a figure cloaked in shadows and darkness can be I guess. I might have known you once, but I lost much when I became what I currently am.”
The figure opened their mouth to speak, but instead gave a melancholic sigh before turning and leaving. As they left Victor’s voice echoed throughout the Corridor reaching her. “Be careful little one, I worry that they might know you have been visiting me.” She paused for a moment before she continued walking. It was just as the passageway sealed behind her that she heard some words, words that only Victor would know and say, as he was the first to call her by them. “Stay safe, my little Kunoichi.”
