A Good Day

The day after my first hangout with friends, I gladly went to school. My friends and I greeted one another, and they told me that they were looking forward to another movie session or just anything so we could spend time together. I was glad that my friends were happy to be with me. Today was the second day of class, and Miss Daniels was teaching us the first lesson in Earth Science. I was fighting my urge to yawn as Miss Daniels discussed our lesson. Something was off. Miss Daniels was not her jovial self today, unlike yesterday. Was she going through a personal crisis? I wonder what’s wrong. I was concerned.

I promised myself that I would study hard in this second life. I would concentrate in class. In my previous life, I was a truant who hated school. I wanted to enjoy school now. But I was only a child. Or rather, my reincarnated self was a grown man stuck in the body of a child. It's natural for me or any other kid to become bored when a teacher is boring. I kept my eyes peeled as I listened to the lecture, keeping my promise to myself. Some kids had already fallen asleep, while others were struggling to stay awake.

I had a feeling a student would be hit with flying chalk. But Miss Daniels simply scolded some of the students who had been sleeping earlier. Our teacher expected her students to respect her. She told us that we needed to respect one another in order to be respected. She stated that she would not tolerate disrespectful or slacker students. She suggested that we go to bed early so that we wouldn't be sleepy in class. To be honest, I was fairly certain that those sleepyheads in class had not slept late. They were dozing off because their teacher was boring them to tears. As a respectful student, I would not tell that to that teacher because I didn't want to hurt her feelings.

Douglas and his cronies were among the students who had fallen asleep earlier. I was glad that our teacher had scolded them. Miss Daniels appeared to have marked Douglas, meaning that she would always remember him, but not in a good way. She would definitely keep an eye on his every move and call him out on any mistakes or misdeeds. I gave a wicked grin. Miss Daniels asked her students a few questions about the topic because she was disappointed with some of their behavior. They froze because they couldn't answer the questions. I raised my hand to answer one of her questions. Other students raised their hands and answered the remaining questions. Our answers were correct. Our teacher praised us. On today's voluntary recitation, she gave us each 100 points.

"Nerds," Douglas muttered. Miss Elora Daniels completely ignored him. She was most likely preventing herself from developing high blood pressure. When her lessons were finished, she said goodbye to us and exited the room.

Our male algebra teacher taught us the first lesson and gave us a surprise quiz to see if we understood the lesson. The majority of the class groaned. I knew I did well in the quiz. We checked each other’s papers. I got a score of 9 over 10. After the second period, we had recess. We just nibbled on some snacks and drank coffee in the school café.

After recess, we had subjects like social studies, French 101, and computers. I paid close attention to the teachers as they discussed their lessons. I enjoyed social studies because it taught me about my country's history. I was particularly interested in my country's relations with other countries, its colonization and treaties with other countries, the betrayals we had experienced, and the nation's role in World War I and World War II. As our teacher stated, we should be aware of our country's history so that we do not repeat the mistakes of the past.

In French 101, I learned the fundamental French greetings, words, and phrases. That language sounded wonderful and romantic. In the future, I hope to sound like that every time I speak.

I was having some difficulty with the subject Computer. I was never a fan of technology. However, in order to keep up with the times and make my life easier, I should learn to use the computer effectively. A good understanding of computers and gadgets could also help me with future crimes. I asked Cody to tutor me every day after school so that I could catch up on computers, gadgets, and other technology. He readily agreed to assist me in this matter.

Finally, after the three subjects were done, we had lunch. My friends and I decided to eat at a nice restaurant outside the school since we didn’t like the meals that were being served in the cafeteria on this day. We ordered our meals and took our seats.

"Didn’t you notice something odd today?" I asked my friends. "Miss Daniels was not her usual upbeat self."

"Yeah, I noticed that too," Alfonso replied. "It’s like she forced herself to work today. Maybe she has a personal problem." He was eating a steak with corn kernels. He sipped his iced tea.

"Maybe it’s that time of the month," Bryan joked. He was eating roasted chicken and rice. Alongside his meal was a diet soda.

"Don’t try to get too close to Miss Daniels," Stephen warned me. He was eating carbonara, and then, after taking a mouthful, he sipped from the glass of his orange juice.

"Why not?" I asked him. I was curious. I leaned forward.

Stephen whispered to me, "They told me that she used to date a high school student."

"Oh, Stephen! Come on!" Cody exclaimed. "Please don't lie to Jake." My friends called me Jake. "The gossip is not true," he assured us. He apparently knew what Stephen had just said to me. Cody continued: "Miss Daniels has a boyfriend. Her beau is a young man around her age. I saw her walking with him in her neighborhood while holding hands." Cody ate his ramen. He drank a glass of water between breaks.

"On second thought, Cody, maybe you're right," Stephen pondered. "Miss Daniels is an excellent teacher. She is also gifted and popular. Because of her, we have consistently won national competitions in choir, band, and badminton. She is also friendly with students. A nice person like her would never commit such a crime."

"Oh well, we all know I'm always right," Cody confidently said.

After lunch with my friends, I spoke with Miss Daniels in the library. I asked her why she didn't seem to be in the mood to teach the class and why she didn't seem to be happy, unlike yesterday. Miss Daniels told me about her sister's daughter's condition and how she wished school was out so she could visit them in the hospital. I was taken aback.

"How come you didn't take a day off?" I inquired.

"It’s because I don’t want you to be behind in your lessons," she answered.

"But, ma'am, it's only one day!" I spoke in hushed tones because we were supposed to be quiet in the library.

"Well," she explained, "I am a dedicated teacher." She smiled weakly. She was, indeed. I couldn't persuade her to take a break from teaching and go straight to the hospital. She was dedicated to her job as a teacher. She had a fantastic work ethic. She really loved her students. Maybe the gossip Stephen told us wasn't true after all. Miss Daniels was a wonderful teacher.

"I'm sorry about your sister's daughter," I told her in a sincere voice. "I hope she recovers quickly." Dengue fever is a serious illness. I sincerely hoped that her niece would recover quickly.

"Thank you for listening to me, Jacob," Miss Daniels stated. "You’re such a good person." She gently squeezed my hand. She was a sweet young woman.

"No problem, Miss Daniels," I responded.

Douglas teased me outside after Miss Daniel left. He told me that I was a teacher's pet. He made some lewd sexual gestures while joking that Miss Daniels and I were doing the deed. His antics made his friends laugh. I just shook my head and ignored him.

“Cut it out, Douglas!” Trisha, my female classmate, scolded him. Trisha had fair skin and blonde hair that she braided and wore in pigtails. She was really cute.

"What if I don’t want to?" Douglas challenged her.

"Well, I’ll tell Miss Daniels about what you just did," she replied firmly.

"Snitch," Douglas spewed.

"You’re just jealous because none of the teachers appreciate you! Even other students in our class don’t like you. They find you annoying. Only your loyal buddies tolerate you." I could see in Douglas’ face that Trisha’s words stung him. He walked out.

Stolen novel; please report.

Our classes in other subjects continued. We had Religion, Values education, and Physical Education.

We talked about Catholicism and the Bible in Religion. We discussed Adam and Eve and the original sin in our first lesson. Our friar teacher told us that because Adam and Eve were mankind's first parents, we carried their sin as children or descendants. They ate the forbidden fruit (the bright and shining, delicious apple), which is how they learned what is good and bad. Because of this, women suffer from menstrual cramps and the agony of childbirth; men are expected to toil or work hard; and we die when we are old.

Our next subject was Values Education. Douglas, I thought, needed this subject because he was rude most of the time and had more enemies than friends at school. I'm sure he was thinking of a smartass retort to Trisha's words (too late, because he was definitely roasted!) or ways to make fun of her right now. Douglas was far from a gentleman. He fought everyone, regardless of gender. Anyway, our teacher stressed the importance of always being courteous, especially to elders. Afterwards, we had Physical Education. We only did cardio in PE. P.E. was a breeze for me because I was a werewolf.

Months later, Miss Daniels and I became close. We discussed the fictional books we had read. Miss Daniels told me that her favorite genres were classic and contemporary books, primarily fiction and non-fiction biographies of historical figures. She enjoyed reading fantasy, horror, and crime fiction. Her favorite books were The Beast Behind His Portrait by Donovan Griffin, The Epiphany by Karina Coleman, Everlasting Love by Sandy Snyder, Timeless Fairy Tales by Orlando Wilson, Anneliese Bernadette Glenda by Lennox Taylor, McArthur’s Promise by Robert O’Brien, The Ghosts in the House by Ivanna Abbott, The Haunted Ocean by Nathaniel Gardner, Lilith’s Apple by Lorraine Ford, and Lover by Vladimir Norris.

I mentioned some of my favorite books to her, including The Tales of Horror by Edmund Paddock, The 3'Oclock Ritual by Sebastian Radford, and Blame by Scarlet Rainwater, to name a few. I didn't tell her about the witchcraft and occult books I was reading because I didn't want to scare her. Remember that I wanted to make as many friends as possible? I enjoyed talking with Miss Daniels because she was a bright young woman who spoke to me as if we were the same age. She never undervalued her students' intellectual abilities. She talked about these books and how they influenced her worldview.

Miss Daniels took her time analyzing the films and told me what she thought of them. I also shared my thoughts on these films, having seen them myself. She respected my viewpoints and praised my intelligence. I told her that I became wise because of what she taught me. She told me that I was sweet. To be honest, I had a good time with Miss Daniels. We had a lot in common and talked about everything and anything. She was close to other students from the chess and book clubs, in addition to me. We went to the movies with her at the mall.

She paid for our milkshakes. We went to amusement parks with her. We sang at karaoke parties with her. She went to our special events and gave us gifts. She hung out with us like she was our older friend. To be fair, I really considered Miss Daniels my only adult friend. She was beautiful, intelligent, kind, and amiable. Miss Daniels and I have known each other for seven months.

I followed Miss Daniels around one afternoon. I followed her to her residence. I was bored and interested in learning more about my friends. Miss Daniels was a friend of mine. There were times when I called her Elora because she preferred to be addressed as such. I pursued her through the cemetery. It's strange that her house was so close to this morbid location. Then I went by a church. And then I rounded another street, and then another. She was on a bus. I was running after her. I didn't need to ride a bus to be able to keep up with her. I was a werewolf with supernatural speed.

I was finally outside her house. She was living in a trailer. She noticed me. Shoot! I had to come up with an excuse.

"Are you following me, Jake?" Miss Daniel asked. I was not sure if she was curious or alarmed. Her voice raised, and wrinkles formed on her face.

"No, I was just passing through. I was on my way to the convenience store to get some orange juice," I answered. How convenient.

I was relieved to see a convenience store. Elora gave a nod. She accepted my explanation. We went inside the convenience store together. I purchased two orange sodas and two bags of cheese-flavored chips for myself and Miss Daniels.

"Thank you, dear," she replied warmly.

We then left the convenience store. Miss Daniels welcomed me into her trailer. I agreed to accept the invitation. We were now inside the trailer. It was small but clean. I wondered how she could live in such a small house. But then I remembered that in my previous life as Raymond Reid, I was also not wealthy. I only have a luxurious life because Lucifer transformed me into Jacob Dawson. A secret werewolf born into a well-off family. My parents were rich and famous. I was a fortunate child. It had been seven months. My mother's tummy was as big as a watermelon, if not bigger! My baby brother would be born two months later. I was ecstatic! I'd teach him my ways.

We were watching a movie with my beloved teacher. The electricity then went out. "Shit!" screamed Miss Daniels.

"I'm sorry, Jake," she apologized. "You should go home. The heat in this trailer is unbearable."

"You can stay at my house, Miss Daniels," I suggested.

"Oh, I can't!" She responded. She shook her head.

“I insist," I explained. "My parents are not home anyway."

She sighed. "All right," she said, accepting my offer.

I called my driver. He drove up to this trailer. We left the trailer. The driver drove us to my mansion. We entered my mansion. Miss Daniels was astounded by the beauty and grandeur of my mansion. Inside the car, we had finished our snacks. My maid offered us food, but we politely declined. At the time, we were stuffed.

We went to my own movie theater. Miss Daniels and I were watching a movie called Why Me? It was about a beautiful model who was raped by a well-known actor. The model Danica was dating the actor Vittorio. The actor had a reputation for being a womanizer, but she dated him anyway. One drunken night, the actor raped the model. The model was distraught and depressed. She filed a complaint against him. Nobody believed her because the actor was well-known. It's her word against a famous person. She was bullied by the media and the actors' fans. She committed suicide as a result of depression. Her ghost haunted him, and he went insane. But despite her hauntings, Vittorio remained the same. He raped and raped various women.

Pieces of evidence began to pile up and prove his crime. Another woman charged him with rape. She was victorious. Vittorio was found guilty and imprisoned.

Miss Daniels began kissing my lips and then my neck when some steamy parts of the movie appeared. Then she stripped me naked and licked my skin. I was engrossed in the moment. I returned her kiss before removing her uniform, bra, and pants. But then I paused.

I realized; this was wrong. Why was Miss Daniels having sexual relations with a minor student? Despite the fact that I was a grown man trapped inside a child's body, I was well aware that what we were doing was illegal and scandalous! No, what she was doing was wrong. She was a responsible adult, and she deserved to be punished.

When night fell, my werewolf instincts kicked in. My body began to grow fur, and I became stronger and wilder. I buried my fangs in her neck. I drank her blood. Then I slashed her heart and killed her.

I removed her heart and placed her blood in a clear glass cylindrical container. Then I threw them all into the cauldron. I lit the black candles that had been gathered around the cauldron. I stirred the contents of the cauldron until it became a large mass of dark black and crimson. It had the odor of death. I kind of felt bad for Miss Daniels. But then I realized that I shouldn’t feel bad for a hebephile like her.

Not to mention that I was tasked with offering Satan the blood of extremely wicked people. I recited the incantation:

My Dark Lord, I offer the blood of this malevolent human.

This is for you, most evil and unholy one.

Let this corrupted soul suffer in hell.

Throw her at the massive fire and into the deep, dark well.

Let the worms and leeches feed on her rotten body.

This I ask in your unholy name, my beloved entity.

May the blood of this sex offender feed you.

And give you strength in this powerful spell.

In the air, a large ring of dark smoke appeared. When a demon appeared, he pointed to the cauldron. The cauldron's contents vanished.

"The Dark Lord has accepted your offering," the demon informed me. I thanked the demon. My cauldron's contents were magically transferred into the demon's cauldron. The cauldron was resting in his scaly, skinny arms.

I quickly carried Miss Daniel’s body into my basement so that no one saw me. Then I put her body inside a black body bag. I called my driver. He approached me in the basement.

"Daithrur, we have a body to bury," I told my driver.

"Yes, sir," he politely replied.

He was carrying the body bag containing Miss Daniels' body. Daithrur was a demon who lived in the body of a corrupt police officer. Daithrur was another of Satan's minions. He, like me, was eager to please the Dark Lord. Daithrur’s human name was Rocco. Lucifer made certain that Rocco's resume was flawless and that his ratings as a driver were excellent before he applied to drive for my family. Rocco drives quickly and efficiently. He was also a devoted servant to both me and Lucifer. Lucifer didn't mind if someone served two or more masters in addition to him. As long as we shared the same goals and interests.

Daithrur/Rocco and I visited Meraki City's Cemetery for Wicked Souls. This cemetery was constructed to house the remains of people who had committed heinous crimes. This cemetery was built by Lucifer. This cemetery was lovely, with various kinds of trees, grass, and beautiful flowers and plants. Non-magical people, animals, and other creatures could not see this. They would be in awe of this cemetery's glorious beauty if they could see it. However, this cemetery was one of Hell's gates, and everyone who was buried there was doomed to Hell.

Rocco and I dug a hole for Miss Daniels. We buried her six feet underground, then climbed up and sealed the hole, which served as her grave. I placed a rock on the ground. With a wave of his hand, Rocco magically transformed the rock into a grave, complete with Miss Daniels’ full name and birth and death dates. An epitaph was written beneath that said, "A predator of children. May your soul rot in hell."

After we buried her body, Rocco took me home. We took a bath in our respective bathrooms to get rid of the dirt, blood, and all the evidence of our crime. We also washed our clothes to get rid of them.
