"You won't come to me? Such insolence" the demon sneered before rapidly kicking down the door in Aries's face.
Aries could hardly even feel the pain of the impact due to the intense fear assaulting his mind.
"Arghh! Wait hold on--" Before Aries could even finish his sentence, he was lifted above the ground by the throat, choking and struggling for breath.
The psychotic smile on the face of the demon was worth more than a million words. The ecstasy he experienced from driving lifeforce out of a living person made him truly deserving of his demonic title.
"Hey human, I'm sure this really hurts like hell. So if you want to live, quickly tell us where Kim-Dan's box is. Otherwise, this won’t just end with an easy death." the other demon, who slowly made his way towards Valos, informed him while darting his eyes around.
"What are you talking abou-- gahrrh" The intensity of his grip increased along with his irritation. Aries could already feel foam rising from his throat.
"Heh? Still playing dumb, I see, I like guys like you. You see, it seems you need different motivation. Lith did you get it?" He asked his counterpart standing with another smallish human silhouette.
Valos adjusted his arm and turned his hand to give Aries a clear line of sight. Lith held a silver-haired, slender, and graceful young lady violently by the arm. However, to Aries, the scene before him was worse than a nightmare.
"Sharon.." the only word Aries could mutter in the midst of his mental crisis.
"Oh, Sharon huh? What a really cute name, so what would it be boy? Cute Sharon over here, or the box? Take your time and think it through", Valos said with a mocking smile, still holding Aries up but with a lighter grip.
Aries had yet to understand the events currently unfolding. The moment his brain came back to him, he uttered what he could.
"Please don't hurt her!!! I really don't know anything about what you're talking about. I've never even seen the leader in person, much less this box. Please…. Spare her." Aries said with tears rolling from his face. His mind was starting to break from the excessive torture.
This was his first ever experience with demons of such caliber and this much power, and it would now be his last.
"Aries, what's going on here? Why are there demons here? And what box are they talking about? More importantly, your face is turning purple from decapitation, are you al--"
SWISH
A head flew right off its former shoulders, propelling a jet spray of blood across the room and finally hitting the ground with a loud thud. The perpetrator sheathed his curved dagger coloured dark red by the blood of his victim and let out a little yawn.
"Phew… I got tired of waiting. It seemed like your reunion was going to go on forever. So you were also useless boy, you humans and disappointments go hand in hand" Valos said whilst putting back his dagger into his belt.
"Huh…?" Aries, who had passed through myriads of trials in the last few minutes, had finally let go of the last screw of his sanity.
He was powerless at the moment, but a strange coldness enveloped his heart while looking at the headless body of the woman he loved.
"Valos get it over with so we can go home. I have things to do with my evening, you know", the other demon Lith said while tossing away the dead body.

"Alright alright, I'm getting pretty annoyed myself. And with that, … bye bye" Valos said as he increased the pressure on his fingertips to properly choke Aries to death.
As the pressure increased, the froth in his mouth and the strength of his reactions decreased. However,
"Your names are Valos and Lith, right? Aries shouted with fury raging from the depths of his heart. "In the next life, if I am born into this world, no matter what happens, I will hunt you both down and kill you," Aries screamed with the last piece of strength he could muster before his entire neck was plucked from the body.
The lifeless body falls to the ground, followed by the leaking head. With that, the demons conclude their evening.
"Is that all?" Lith replied, seemingly unimpressed. "Another human wants me dead for petty reasons. Is killing just one peasant worth a drop of royal blood? They really don't have their priorities set out." He said, wiping his hands from the blood before walking away with Lith.
Somewhere. Between the boundary of yesterday and tomorrow. From on high, where the entities known as constellations reside, a single fading light could be seen falling into endless nothingness.
The dim light disappears into nothingness, vanishing forever, but now reappears inside a building on a certain planet, hovering over two lifeless bodies lying helplessly on the ground. There is the body, the spirit, and the soul.
Although the body be destroyed and the physical mind along with it, the spiritual body which houses the soul must remain to be reinserted into the soul system. This is the circle of life. The concept known as reincarnation.
"Young soul, although it is not my first, but to see a spirit such as yours who has barely lived a fraction of its lifetime in this cycle pains me so." words came forth from the hovering light, directed at another incorporeal figure standing across it.
"Who… are you…? Also…who… am I?" the ghost also spoke in response to the fading light. Aries was already gone, the person speaking right now was his fundamental form. The true Aries Zin.
"Aries, I think it was. Although I enjoyed watching you, like you, my time is nigh. However that doesn't have to be the case for either one of us. You see I really hoped that you would win, against all odds. But, you didn't. You even got beheaded to say the worst, and just like that, it was over for both of us." The light came closer and closer to the Aries, its light now growing brighter and brighter.
"Oh Aries, I remember now. I… died, didn't I? And so did she." Aries muttered, now aware of himself. The despair was still alive in his spirit.
"Let me become your strength, Aries. I will be your guide. I can sense the regret emanating from the depths of your spirit. As long as you join me, you can become the man that you wish for. I will guide you to the depths of hell and to the highs of heaven, and bring you to the top of this world above demons and humans. Will you entrust your soul to me?" The former dying flicker was now a bright star, hovering around Aries, causing him to also grow brighter.
"Can I also bring her back to life? Is there really a way?" Aries, more concerned about the life of Sharon, struggles to reach out to the hovering light.
"Unfortunately, that is beyond the power of my current self. The souls that die must be reinserted into the system and reborn. This is the law of the world. For me to come out to you right now must be a loophole. It could be considered a miracle. But by my power, by the essence of [Nameless Star], we will find the new Sharon and make her the Sharon you know. I give you my word." A new glimmer of hope shone on Aries. There might still be a way.
"But why are you going so far for me? What do you get out of all this? Who exactly are you?" Finally, returning to his senses. There is no such thing in this world as a good person. Perhaps he was about to sell his soul.
"Alright in that order. I guess our meeting was simply fate, there's nothing else to it. Secondly, I plan to return to my former form and to do that, I need to get my power and authority back. So we have matching interests, isn't that a good thing? And lastly, 'who am I?' I am a god. Does that clear your doubts?" The light responded haughtily.
"More or less…" Aries, still confused, decided to flow with it. The majority of his concerns were already addressed, and the light didn't emanate a shred of animosity.
"So once again, do you entrust your soul to [Nameless Star] Aries Zin?" The light asked, landing on Aries's forehead, ready to establish the contract.
"I do!" Just as he uttered those words. The light sank into Aries's spiritual body and merged with him. His spiritual body began to glow brightly, covering the entire room with blinding light.
After the light subsided, Aries opened his eyes, gestured to make sure his arms and legs were functioning, and then stood at his feet. The demons were already long gone, Sharon's body still lay across his feet.
But at that moment, the demons did not know what they had created. The desire for amusement led them to an error. The worst error possible in the history of the dimension. The creation of a god-man.
"How do you feel now kid?" A voice from inside Aries's head resounded.
"I feel… Alive I guess"
