Hello everyone!

I’m Cyaxares, the author of The Fall of Everything. As I mentioned in the last chapter, the first season has come to an end! In a way, you could think of it as one long prologue. My goal was to introduce the main characters, their motivations, and a bit of the world they live in. There are definitely parts I’m not entirely satisfied with, but overall, I think it served its purpose well.

Now, the important question: Is the second season starting right away?

Technically, I could start posting new chapters tomorrow if I wanted to. But I won’t. Because if I don’t go through the first season and fix the things that bother me, I’ll probably lose my mind.

But don’t worry! I won’t be making any major changes to the story itself. The things I want to fix are mostly related to writing style.

First, I want to make the dialogues feel more natural. Since English isn’t my first language, I sometimes feel like they sound a bit stiff.

Second, I need to find a better balance in my narration. The story is heavily focused on politics and war, which means I need to include a lot of details. But sometimes, my chapters get too long or are packed with unnecessary information. On the other hand, when I cut things short, I don’t feel satisfied either. So, I’ll be working on getting that balance right.

And, of course, the classic: fixing typos, grammar mistakes, and awkward wording.

So don’t worry—nothing about the actual story will change. But I want to make the reading experience smoother and more enjoyable.

I’d really appreciate any feedback, especially on my writing style and realism of the story! (Seriously, even a small comment helps a lot!)

Also, I have a question for you all: Would you be interested in special chapters that focus purely on worldbuilding?

For example, I could write separate sections explaining the history, politics, or important elements of the world in more detail. That way, I wouldn’t have to cram too much information into regular chapters, and those who want extra details could check them out separately. Let me know what you think!
