“Those who lead from behind closed doors are are not men but cowards. A true face of the people must lead their followers from the front. No man should die for a ruler who will not die for his men.” 1163 AGC, Author Unknown
The sun's heat warms Iris’s skin as the night turns to day giving her a small sense of peace after the events of the night prior. Alo sits at the edge of the clearing, a small bird lands on his arm causing his druidic tattoos to glow like the sun as if harnessing the very spirit of the light within them. “Good to see you awake, while you slept my small friend here found some mounts nearby that will suit our needs. It seems their previous owner fell victim to a Caltuss. We need only take a small walk to them”

Iris’ face goes cold as she begins to speak, “A Caltuss? I thought them to be something of legend meant to scare children yet you tell me one roams these very woods in which we sit. How?”
Alo stands to walk towards Iris, until now she had never truly noticed his sheer size, standing at least 2 full heads taller than her and his hair reminiscent of the finest black silk falls to nearly his waist. His tan skin looks as if he’s never spent a moment indoors all culminating to create a truly incredible being.
Alo clears his throat, “My dear, all of the creatures of your nightmares exist, some are simply easier to find than others. You have no reason to fear the Caltuss, if you feel have done no wrong. It feeds on those with a tainted conscience. It burrows itself into their very being, haunting their dreams until eventually consuming them from within their own body. You die trapped in a personal hell, mere moments become an eternity.”
Iris stares with eyes wide, “ If you were trying to calm me you failed miserably.”
Alo chuckles as he places his heavy hand on Iris’s shoulder, “Come, we shouldn't tarry, we have someone very important waiting on us.”
