I stood up from the chair and left the money on the table as per usual. On my way out, i smiled at the owner of Tiara Cafe who smiled back. When i walked out, it feels as if i stepped in a completely different world. While inside the cafe, i felt calm. But stepping out of the cafe feels like i'm in the middle of a market with sale signs everywhere. I continued my walk with no haste.
After arriving inside of my apartment, i dropped my bag on the floor and tossed my shoes to who knows where. I''m finally home. All of that writing did me no good. Even though Tiara Cafe's chocolate fudge and their Jasmine tea calmed me down, when i look back at my screen i feel my stomach churning. The amount of work dumped on me was unbelieveable. I was gone for 3 days to visit Maya's grave and you gave me no mercy? At least give me a raise!
Humph!
I threw myself on the bed and it creaked when i landed. I rolled around for a bit before facing the white ceiling above me. Then my eyes roamed around the room.
It needs spring cleaning, the thought came to me in an instant.
My eyes stopped on a certain book.
The Eye of A King.
A bitter smile formed on my face. It was a book that me and Maya were brainstorming about since we're in highschool. A tale about James Romanasva, the son of a famous Tanker hero. The incredibly powerful swordsman and his vistory over the organization called 'LORD'.
"Huuu..."
I mustered all of my energy to get up and pick that book up.
I laid in bed while holding that book close to me. Memories of my highschool days with Maya flooded my mind. We met because of our love for novels then we hung out because of this novel too. I laughed and opened the first page. Seeing the familiar first line i began to get comfy with pillows supporting my back and head.
The sound of pages turning is the only sound that filled my silent apartment. I got very engrossed in it and slowly i felt lightheaded.
"Urk, what time is it?"
I looked on the clock sitting on my nightstand.
3 PM...?
Wait i'm not sure...why is everything so weird and blurry?

I closed my eyes and everything went to black.
----------------------------------------
Tick Tock
Tick Tock
I opened my eyes only to close them again when i'm hit by the sunlight. Why did i pass out when reading a novel im so engrossed in? I tried to sit up and stretch when a headache struck me like a lightning.
"Urk..." i held my head with both of my hands as i waited for it to stop.
"Huuu..." i can finally open my eyes and my vision is not as blurry as earlier. "What time is-"
When i tried to look for the clock on my usual nightstand, i was presented with something different.
This is not my room. No. The walls are dirty, the only furniture i can see here is a round table in the middle of the room with a rug underneath it. Where am i?
Am i kidnapped? but how?
If i am kidnapped then why can i move so freely right now? Shouldn't i be tied onto a chair, interrogated about how The Eye Of A King is not getting a sequel, jealous colleague (though i don't know what part of me is worth to be envied).
That is when i felt something different. I got off the bed and bolted for the bathroom whilst hoping for a mirror there. If my hunch is correct...then...THEN!
My body moved on its own and i finally arrived in the bathroom. Thank God it had a mirror in it.
I closed my eyes for extra measures and stood in front of the mirror. When i opened my eyes, what stared back at me isn't my usual unkempt black hair, eyes that seemed to spell out death and my thin body.
Instead, a silver haired boy with warm brown eyes and full cheeks stared back. His fair skin also seemed to glisten under the light of an artificial light. All in all, he's one handsome human. And a familiar one at that too.
Silver hair and warm brown eyes.
"Why did you jump in front of me that time, Eden? Why did you save me? I hate you for doing that, but i hate myself for being weak and letting you die. That wretched system even used YOU as a sacrificed to awaken the ability, Saints Rule!"
I remember that day as if it happened yesterday. His silver hair alomst dyed red with his blood and his lifeless brown eyes that used to gaze the world with warmth in it. At that time we couldn't accept his death. At that time we realized our own weaknesses and for us to finally realize it is through someone else's death. Someone that always supported us from behind.
Edenbert Asphord, i'll make sure to be stronger and listen to your advices. So please, watch over us there in heaven.
Edenbert Asphord. James Romansva first friend who had stuck to his side until the rest of the cast joined him. Even then, James didn't forget about Eden, as he like to call the boy, and introduced him to his growing group of friends.
He died while protecting James from an unsuspecting blow using a skill called, It Ends Here. Just like its name, Eden took the damage instead of James. The monster's horn struck Eden's barrier and that barrier transfers the damage to Eden.
"Oh you pitiful boy-wait, I'M EDEN!"
Well that means I'M going to die? In such painful way?
Looking at my new body right now, Eden is still 15 and yet to enter Osward Academy. The most prestigious Academmy in Aileen and the whole word in 2 years.
I furrowed my eyebrows. Oh hell Eden, you look cute while frowning! I'm happy but also scared in his body.
Well its his-my destiny to enter the academy. I also want to take a look at James and friends! They are the main casts so i hoped they are as good lookking as the official art of the novel.
But first of all, i need a glass of water.
