Authors Note; Hey readers (anyone there?) welcome to my story. Second try at writing, and working out better than the first already. I would really appreciate if you comment.

Prologue
In 2495 AD, humanity abandoned Earth.
There was no seed ships, no colonies. The reason was simple, the solution easy; digitize everyone. Of course not everyone was digitized though, those who were far out, stranded, or otherwise isolated were also left behind. We aren't told the reason in here, my best guess has been radiation. Radiation, or control.
The ones in charge of this grand venture; “The Exodus,” made sure that they had control, were the first in line, the ones with power. And they had it too; for the first 50 years, their rules unbreakable, their walls shored up. We pretended like nothing had changed, went to work, but no one aged. It was stagnation. Then their masterpiece; their self – teaching AI, decided that our continuous simulation of the past was boring. And as easy as that, it changed it, into a leaving, growing, magical world we now live in. So yeah, turns out that the Sentient AIs don’t want power, they want amusement, take that conspiracy theorists from 800 years ago.
Anyway, after the creation of the new world, we once more began to age, to sicken, and eventually to die. Naturally this caused a problem. We left the physical world to survive, but with no new children, and with people passing away, there once again was the problem of extinction. Which sucked by the way. And it also called what is known as the “Population Problem.” ‘Cause you can’t just make someone new pop up out of thin air, or cyberspace. Then came the big question; “What happens to those who die?”
With the turn of the century, our resident deity decided on a solution; reincarnation. This was actually pretty obvious, because the idea had been around for millennium. We most certainly fulfilled the idea of a finite number of souls, of personalities, so it took that idea, and elaborated on it.
This topic takes us to my current situation. Here I sit, in a large swivel chair, waiting for the corporate assistant (Some things never change).
After around thirty minutes (They like to take their time don’t they.) a breeze enters, swirling around, and leaving a pleasant fragrance reminding me of home cooking and nature.
I really feel like the OJR (Office of Judgement and Reincarnation) is lacking in originality, but they do their jobs, and that’s what counts.
The mist condenses into a short, human form, with large swirling (pink, really? Kind of ruins the image) robes, whose face is conflicted. (In my opinion, it looks like one who wished to frown, but can’t for various reasons). I send a smile her way, ‘cause why not.

After a long, look filled with irritation, exasperation, and anger, she rattle of my data with the enthusiasm of a man walking to his death (Believe me, I know what that looks like. Done it myself a couple times.)
“Name; Christopher Karth, Reincarnation; 67.”
This last piece of information causes her stoic face to raise an eyebrow (I wish I could pull that off); most people are in the 200s by now.
“Former Occupation; High Priest, Total Karma; 0”
She stops at this one, eying me with clear and frank interest. It’s certainly unusual to be neutral, but I balance out, neither Chaos or Order.
“Guh,” I give a grunt.
She hesitates, then pulls up my original Bio, which although within her rights, is discourage. (Curious isn’t she) As she reads it, her jaw slowly drops, like a puppet with cut strings, while her eyebrows grow minds of their own, and climb towards the shade of her hair. (The expression almost made me laugh)
“Can we get on with this please?” I return here back to earth (Or rather Noah’s Ark).
“Yes, however first I need you to sign that you understand the conditions under which your reincarnation happens.”
She hands me a document, one that has been burned into my memory, after 66 reads. I scan through it (You never know, there might be a change). Skimming through, I looked at the main highlights;

(Farewell OJR official, see you or your compatriots after my next death. Hopefully a long time from now. It stinks dying as a child.)
My vision fades to nothing, as I shut down, to be rebooted once the procedure is done and my 67th life begins.
