Tronius Minoris
It watched the prey scramble up its arm in confusion. Prey is meant to run away. Prey is not meant to climb it. Of course it had never met a human before so didn't realise this sort of prey wasn't worth the effort, as many other predators do after a while of coexistence with humanity. No, it had decided upon seeing this new prey that it would show the prey just how strong it was. Now that prey was on its back like some common mount. The Tronius Minoris roared and shook its whole body vigorously. Somehow the prey stuck to it. Somehow the prey was not following the natural order. It felt wrong. All it knew was being disproved by some meagre morsel of sustenance in the form of prey. So it roared. Roared loud. Roared powerfully. Roared in rage. And then its vision went dark momentarily as it saw its prey hang from its eye brow. The prey was shining still yet it could now see through the slits it had mistaken as eyes to see the true eye of its prey. What it saw made disillusioned it. This was a predator and prey. Everything is always predator and prey. The Tonius Minoris, for the first time in its pitiful existance realised what a true predator was. The small shiny thing pulled back its hand as a terrifying glint was in its eyes behind the slits.

Feyre
The eye went squelch. Goop went all over her arm all the way up to her elbow and she admitted it was a sickening sound. What happened next was something Feyre wasn't keen to ever witness or feel again. The hulking brute let out a roar that was more screech than anything she had ever heard. The stench that came out as it screeched was horrific. To be honest with herself she almost felt bad for the thing, it wasn't its fault that it was a tutorial monster, but she then reminded herself of the look of cruelty in its eyes. That wasn't a predator by circumstance. That was a cruel creature that just so happened to be in the right place at the wrong time. Feyre pulled back to punch again but suddenly the creature's screeching mixed with its violent head jerks launched her off.
The wind was knocked out of her as soon as she hit the ground from that 3 story drop from its head to the quickly dying grass that the monstrosity was killing with its mere presence. Feyre was surprised that she didn't feel anything broken until she got another system message pop up. She ignored it for now as she was trying very hard to not be killed at the moment, an endeavour she was quite invested in at the moment. She wished the level up notifications would stop. She scrambled backwards and to her feet, grabbing a stray rock in her hand. She doubted it was that easy to kill such a massive creature as to punch its eye no matter how strong she is or whether she has metal covering ever bit of her self. Frankly Feyre was preparing to throw the rock as hard as she could at the beast's other eye.
One good shot and I might distract it enough to get its other eye. If I'm right. Which is a fifty fifty chance right now.
She watched as it crouched down a bit and opened its mouth as if to try to bite her in half. Which it definitely could have done, if it had gotten to her before she threw the rock. She didn't really understand what happened next but what she did understand is that whatever happened was not meant to be possible for a normal woman like her. The rock she threw seemed to defy all laws of physics she had ever known and accelerated at insane speeds in insane times. Feyre shook her head as she looked at the clean, perfectly rock shaped hole right through the beasts eye and out the other side. She thought she saw surprise on its face before yet another system notification appeared in front of her.
[System: Congratulations you defeated the Tronius Minoris, the youngest and weakest of its species.]
[System: Tutorial Waves Completed: 1/5. Mini-Bosses Defeated: 1/1.]
Feyre sighed. She didn't know what had happened but whatever it was it wasn't right and she didn't like the new feeling she had. She felt a cold brush up her spine jolting her as she felt as if she was being watched.

Feyre stared. Why was the system so inconsistent? Either it should be emotionless or it should be weird. Why did it constantly have to be switching. Also why didn't the 7 level ups not flood her vision? She hadn't even said it out loud when she'd wished for the level up messages to stop. She willed for them to appear again. Nothing happened so she tried again.
"Hmm... Wonder why sometimes it works and other times it doesn't..."
She well and truly wished for her notifications to pop up again yet nothing worked so she just sighed.
"I want to see my notifications again..."

Feyre frowned. She didn't like the look of those error messages but that wasn't important right now. What mattered was that she still had that unsettling feeling of being watched. Then she heard the birds chirping. This was the first time she'd heard any animals except the Tronius Minoris so instantly she was on high alert, unfortunately she no longer had a weapon like her rock since it decided to disobey the laws of physics when she threw it. She readied herself. Until she heard a thud and looked up from her screens. Somehow the corpse disappeared and where it was a single sword. She smiled under her helmet and walked forwards before pausing. She realised the bird chirping was getting closer now. It wasn't natural. It wasn't right. It wasn't even in the trees. Thats when she saw the glowing eyes staring at her from in the shadows just far enough away that if she hadn't been on high alert she'd have never seen them. She dived for the sword and picked it up, prompting another system notification.
[System: Tutorial Wave 2 Triggered: Survive until midnight. Feyre's alive at midnight 0/1.]
She blanched. It didn't look very late. Barely noon if the sun was anything to go by. She wished she had a clock on the system notifications.
[System; Currently 11:47.]
She frowned again. She didn't like how it read her mind but only when she didn't want it to. It was annoying and kind of creepy. Was someone watching her in the sky or something? Maybe that weird Neon Cat?
[System: We aren't watching you!]
Feyre laughed, a borderline hysterical laugh. This was all too much. Some sort of Godlike being was controlling the system and it had the temperament of a toddler on High on Haribo. This was stupid and she hated it. But as she gripped her newfound weapon that she decided deserved a name, Claire, she realised she was automatically adjusting her grip and stance. She knew about as much about swords as most people did, hit things with the sharp bit and it does damage. She wasn't the one who did all the research during the game making process in her past life. She didn't like calling it that since she still felt alive, even when she was laying on the ground bleeding all over the tarmac road.
A soft chattering reached her ears and she looked up. Across from her was a grotesque amalgamation of Ape and insect stared back. And then another joined it.
And another...
And another...
And another...
Eventually there was a small army of these weird and hideous creatures surrounding her. She doubted her sword would be enough but resigned herself to her fate.
"Come at me you ugly freaks! Not even a mother could love those faces!"
That garnered a whole wave of angered screeches. One of them, far bigger than the others, screeched and then all hell broke loose as they all ran forwards. Feyre smiled a small, malicious smile. This had just become interesting for her.
She ran at them at full pelt and leapt with as much power she could muster at the biggest one, swinging her sword down in a perfect vertical as she did so.
