Chapter 3 - Love, Desires and Gestures.

"Hey... love..."

Kai stirred at the sound of a soft voice, blinking awake. He glanced down to see Sofia still snuggled against his bare chest, her small arms wrapped tightly around him. Turning his head, he saw Hannah kneeling beside the sofa, gently trying to wake him. The morning light filtered in through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room.

Hannah smiled at him, dressed casually in shorts and a red sando, an apron tied neatly over her outfit. Her hair was pulled back into a simple ponytail, giving her the look of a picture-perfect housewife.

"Good morning," Kai murmured, his voice still groggy as he rubbed his blue eyes and sat up slightly.

"Good morning, love," Hannah replied, her tone warm and affectionate. Her smile widened. "I made breakfast for you."

Kai returned her smile, his heart softening at the sight of her. "Wait a second..." he said quietly, carefully shifting to pull away from Sofia’s embrace. He moved slowly, making sure not to wake her, her peaceful expression still untouched by the morning.

Hannah reached for Kai’s hand, intertwining her fingers with his. Kai smiled at the gesture, his free arm slipping naturally around her waist. Hannah returned his gaze, her eyes soft as if searching his for something—affection, perhaps. Whatever she found seemed to satisfy her, as she leaned gently against his bare chest.

Together, they left the living room, moving quietly to avoid disturbing Sofia’s sleep. As they entered the kitchen, Hannah gestured toward the dining table with a warm smile. “Sit there, darling,” she said, her voice tender yet playful.

Kai nodded, still drowsy but charmed by her tone, and sat at the table. He watched as Hannah moved gracefully around the kitchen, retrieving a plate.

“I made you some eggs, bacon, and yellow rice,” she said, setting the plate in front of him with a proud smile. “Since we’re excused from work today, we can enjoy the day together. Maybe we’ll bring Sofia to the beach later?” Her voice was filled with affection, every word carrying the warmth of her care.

Kai’s lips curved into a soft smile as he watched her. “Sounds perfect,” he said, the scent of breakfast and her loving energy already making the morning feel special.

As Kai started eating, Hannah set a plate for herself. Kai’s gaze followed her movements, glancing at her every now and then like someone trying to feign irritation but failing miserably. She carried herself with an effortless grace, and he couldn’t help but watch her.

When Hannah finally sat beside him, her plate mirroring his—bacon, eggs, and yellow rice—she began eating quietly.

"Love, you’re pretty," Kai said suddenly, his voice warm and affectionate as his eyes lingered on her.

Hannah froze mid-bite, her cheeks tinting pink as she looked at him. A smile slowly spread across her face, a mix of shyness and pride flickering in her expression. "You’re not so bad yourself, love," she replied, her gaze settling on his face as if she were studying every detail—the angles, the softness, the way he smiled.

Kai grinned, slipping his left arm around her waist, pulling her closer as he ate with his right hand. Hannah leaned into his shoulder with each bite she took, resting her head lightly against him in between.

"You’re my rest," she murmured sweetly, her tone laced with affection. Her blue eyes shone with emotion, like a frozen lake thawing under the warmth of his presence.

"And you’re my everything," Kai replied, his voice soft but sure. He pressed a gentle kiss to her temple before turning back to his meal, his smile lingering as they shared the quiet comfort of each other’s company.

"Since it’s Christmas tomorrow, how about we go out? You know, take a little vacation for a while," Hannah suggested, her voice soft but warm. Her blue eyes sparkled with the thought, an unmistakable excitement lingering in her gaze. "What do you think?"

Kai leaned back slightly, considering her idea. "I like the sound of that," he said, though his tone was thoughtful. "But we should probably finish up work first. How about this—let’s check in tomorrow at headquarters, see if we can swing a few extra days off. I mean, we’ve been pulling more than our weight lately, right?" His words trailed off as he searched her face for agreement.

Hannah tilted her head, her expression contemplative before a playful smile curved her lips. "Hmm… yeah, you’re right. We should probably check in first," she said, nodding. Then her smile widened as she teased, "But if they say no, I’ll just drag you on vacation anyway."

Kai chuckled, shaking his head. "Fair enough," he replied with a grin.

As they finished eating, Hannah leaned against Kai’s shoulder, her head resting comfortably. She glanced down at his bare chest, her stomach letting out a quiet burp from the hearty breakfast. She giggled, placing a hand over her stomach.

"Hey, aren’t you looking handsome this morning..." she said teasingly, her eyes drifting over his bare chest and down to his thighs. Her tone was playful, but her gaze carried a mischievous glint as she looked back up at him, her fluttering lashes and sly smile adding a hint of seduction.

Kai raised an eyebrow, catching the look in her eyes. "Don’t tease me here," he said in a low voice, his expression caught between amusement and caution. "Sofia’s still sleeping in the living room, you know."

Hannah smirked, tilting her head innocently. "I’m not teasing," she said softly, though her mischievous grin said otherwise.

"Besides..." Hannah’s hand slid onto Kai’s thigh, her touch deliberate and teasing. "You should pay your girlfriend back for cooking for you, don’t you think?" she said with a playful smirk, her eyes shimmering with a mix of love, desire, and unwavering devotion.

Kai chuckled softly, the corner of his lips curling into a knowing smile. Her mischievousness always had a way of catching him off guard, and yet, it was one of the things he adored about her.

"I love you," Hannah added, her smile softening for a moment. Though her tone was teasing, the sincerity behind her words was undeniable.

Kai’s smile deepened as he gazed at her. "How about we take this somewhere more private?" he suggested, his voice dropping lower. He leaned closer, his tone quiet but laced with suggestion. "Maybe... a morning shower?"

Hannah’s breath hitched slightly, her cheeks flushing. "Oh, Kai..." she murmured, her voice sultry and low as her heart quickened at his words, fully aware of what was to come.

Hannah reached for Kai’s hand, intertwining their fingers as she leaned in, her lips capturing his in a deep, passionate kiss. Her tongue parted his lips, swirling with his in a rhythm that sent sparks between them. Kai’s free hand moved slowly to the knot of her apron, untying it with deliberate care, as if savoring every moment. The world around them seemed to fade, leaving only the two of them consumed by their shared intensity.

When they finally pulled apart, both breathless, Hannah’s apron slipped off, leaving her in her casual clothes. Her grip on Kai’s hand tightened slightly as she led him toward the bathroom. With a swift turn, she locked the door behind them, sealing them in their private world.

Hannah gently pressed Kai’s back against the wall, her lips finding his once more in a fervent kiss. Her hands roamed across his bare chest and abs, her touch exploring the lines and warmth of his body, her movements unrestrained and filled with desire.

"I need you..."

Hannah’s voice was barely a whisper as they pulled away from the kiss, her eyes locking with Kai’s. They spoke volumes—filled with love, desire, and an unspoken bond that deepened in that moment. Kai’s gaze softened, his own emotions mirroring hers, as the world around them blurred into insignificance.

Time seemed to pass in a haze of intimacy and closeness. When they finally emerged from the bathroom, both wore towels wrapped around their bodies, their faces glowing with warmth and contentment. Hannah’s hair was damp, clinging slightly to her shoulders, while Kai’s steps were unhurried, a quiet smile tugging at his lips as he glanced at her.

They exchanged a knowing look, the kind only shared by those who truly understood each other, as they walked back into the world outside their bubble, carrying with them the comfort of their love.

"Hey, did you two take a bath together!?"

The sudden voice shattered the calm moment. Kai and Hannah froze mid-step, their heads snapping around. When no one else was visible, they looked down to see Sofia standing there, her eyes squinting sleepily but sparkling with playful mischief.

"O-uh... yeah, yeah, we did. Why?" Kai fumbled, his tone awkward as he desperately tried to sound nonchalant.

Hannah glanced at him, her cheeks already starting to flush. Before either of them could say anything else, Sofia tilted her head and smirked.

"Did you guys do the baby-making process?" she asked with complete innocence, her tone as casual as if she were asking about breakfast. "You should’ve asked me for help—I’m really good at giving advice!"

Kai almost choked on his own words, his face turning red as he stammered. "Wh-what are you even talking about, Sofia?!"

"I mean," Sofia continued as if she hadn’t noticed their horror, "I’m great at testing, commentating, and giving tips. I’ve read stuff, you know!"

Hannah, who was now blushing furiously, couldn’t help but let out a nervous laugh. Kai groaned, running a hand down his face. "Sofia, testing and commentating have nothing to do with making babies," he said, his voice exasperated as he lightly patted her head like a disappointed teacher.

Sofia pouted, her hands on her hips. "Then what do you do? Is it like a special handshake or something?"

Kai sighed, his face a mix of embarrassment and frustration. "It’s not a handshake. And it’s definitely not something I’m explaining to a ten-year-old!"

Sofia crossed her arms, her lips pursed in mock disappointment. "Fine, but you two are so boring. All secrets and no fun!"

Hannah, still blushing, managed to squeak out, "W-why don’t you have breakfast, Sofia? There’s bacon..."

"Breakfast, huh?" Sofia perked up, her curiosity shifting instantly. "Okay, but I’m still gonna figure out this baby thing!"

As Sofia wandered off toward the kitchen, humming to herself, Kai let out a long sigh and looked at Hannah, who was trying her best not to burst out laughing. "She’s your sister," Hannah teased, her grin widening.

Kai gave her a tired smile. "Yeah, and somehow I’m the one who gets interrogated like this."

"So... how about we get ready and head to the beach?" Hannah whispered, her smile soft but her eyes sparkling with anticipation as she looked up at Kai.

Kai nodded, his lips curving into a smirk. "Sure, but I might take my time just to keep you waiting," he teased lightly, earning a playful roll of her eyes.

The two made their way upstairs to the third floor and into their master bedroom. The moment the door closed, Kai, without a hint of hesitation, slipped off his towel, revealing his bare form in all its glory.

Hannah’s gaze instinctively followed before she quickly looked away, her cheeks turning crimson. "Kai..." she murmured, her voice a mix of warning and embarrassment.

Kai leaned casually against the wall, his smirk deepening. "What? You’ve seen this before, haven’t you? Or do you just like the view a little too much?" His tone was low, teasing, and laced with a mischievous edge.

Hannah shot him a flustered glare, her blush spreading down her neck. "Stop being a show-off," she huffed, though her voice wavered, betraying her distraction. "You know exactly what this does to me."

Kai stepped closer, his movements slow and deliberate. "Oh, I know," he said, his voice dropping to a husky whisper as he brushed a strand of hair from her face. "But can you blame me for wanting to see that adorable blush of yours?"

Hannah bit her lip, trying to hold her ground as he closed the distance between them. "Kai, you’re... impossible," she muttered, though her voice softened.

"Am I?" he asked, his fingers grazing the edge of her towel. With a single motion, he unhooked it and let it fall, leaving her bare before him.

Hannah froze, her breath hitching as her arms instinctively moved to cover herself. "Kai...!" she whispered, her tone a mix of surprise and shy frustration.

Kai leaned in closer, his lips just a breath away from her ear. "You’re beautiful," he murmured, his voice a gentle caress. "I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of this view."

Hannah’s blush deepened, her heart racing as his words sank in. "You’re terrible," she whispered, but her tone lacked conviction, laced instead with affection and thrill.

Kai chuckled, pressing a soft kiss to her neck before pulling back with a grin. "Come on, love. Let’s get dressed before I decide to make us miss the beach altogether."

Hannah exhaled, her lips curving into a small, teasing smile. "You’re lucky I love you," she said softly, her voice trembling just enough to betray the lingering thrill.

Kai smirked, reaching for her hand. "Trust me, darling, I’m the lucky one."

Kai and Hannah opened their shared closet, each rummaging through for something to wear. As Hannah focused on the racks of clothes, Kai paused behind her, a playful idea forming. Without a word, he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her back against his bare chest.

"I’ll help you find something," Kai murmured, his lips brushing the shell of her ear as he nuzzled her neck.

Hannah froze, her cheeks instantly tinged pink. "O-okay," she replied, her voice soft but steady, even as her heart skipped a beat. She was used to his affectionate gestures by now, but today he seemed especially needy—and teasing. Why is he like this today? she wondered, her blush deepening.

Kai rested his chin on her shoulder, his arms tightening slightly around her. "How about a two-piece?" he whispered, his voice low and teasing. "Show off your beauty. Let everyone know how lucky I am to have you."

Hannah flinched at his words, her hands hesitating over the clothes in front of her. "M-mm," she hummed shyly, trying to gather her thoughts. "But... don’t you think that’s a little too much? I mean, I’m yours already, so why does it matter? What if someone stares? You know... some perverts out there..."

Her voice trailed off, her embarrassment making her words tumble out in a rush.

Kai smiled against her neck, his tone soft but firm. "Who cares about anyone else? But if you’re not comfortable, that’s fine too," he said, his voice dropping slightly. "I don’t want anyone else sneaking a peek at my girl anyway."

The protective edge in his tone made Hannah’s heart flutter. She turned her head slightly, catching his gaze. "You’re so possessive," she said, her lips curving into a small, shy smile.

Kai chuckled, brushing a light kiss against her neck before pulling back just enough to look at her. "Only because you’re mine," he said simply, his eyes warm with affection.

Hannah couldn’t stop the smile that spread across her face, the heat in her cheeks lingering as she reached for a modest yet pretty outfit. "Fine, but if anyone does stare, you’re dealing with it," she teased lightly, though her tone held genuine warmth.

"Deal," Kai replied smoothly, his smirk returning. "I’d fight the whole world if it meant keeping you safe."

Hannah smiled, her blush fading into a soft glow of confidence. Instead of reaching for something modest, she picked out a sleek one-piece swimsuit, holding it up for Kai to see. Tilting her head, she glanced back at him with a teasing glint in her eyes.

"How about this instead?" she asked softly, her voice a mix of playful and devoted. "Not too revealing... because I’m yours."

Her words were gentle but carried a weight of affection that made Kai’s chest tighten. His lips curled into a slow, approving smile.

"Yeah," he murmured, his tone dipping low, as if coaxing her closer. "Wear it."

Reluctantly, he loosened his hold around her waist, letting her step away. As Hannah turned, Kai’s gaze trailed down her figure, unable to help himself. Her curves, graceful and effortless, were enough to make any man lose himself. She held the swimsuit against her body, measuring it for fit, and Kai found himself watching her every movement, his expression half-dazed with admiration, half-mischievous.

Hannah, feeling the weight of his gaze, smirked faintly and began slipping into the one-piece. Her movements were deliberate, each adjustment tugging at Kai’s resolve.

When she was done, she turned to face him, striking a playful pose like she was on a photoshoot runway. "How do I look, love?" she asked softly, her smile radiant and teasing as she tilted her head.

Kai leaned back slightly, as if pretending to scrutinize her, though his eyes betrayed nothing but pure adoration. Finally, his lips quirked into a mischievous grin.

"You look like mine," he said, his tone low and possessive, the words almost a growl.

Hannah’s heart skipped a beat at his response, her blush deepening as she tried to hide her fluster with a playful roll of her eyes. "You’re impossible," she murmured, though the smile tugging at her lips said otherwise.

Hannah grabbed Kai’s hand boldly, her fingers intertwining with his as she smirked up at him. "Since you’re the one picking my clothes, it’s only fair I pick yours too. You’re mine, aren’t you?" she teased, her tone sultry, her eyes fluttering just slightly, like a woman toying with her lover.

Her hand began to roam over his chest and abs, her touch light but deliberate, tracing the definition of his muscles. "How about just wearing shorts? I’ll need somewhere comfy to lay my head... and these hard muscles seem perfect for that," she added, pressing two fingers into his biceps as if mocking their firmness, her teasing grin growing wider.

Kai couldn’t help but chuckle at her antics, his deep laugh soft and warm. "Alright," he replied, his voice tinged with amusement as he smiled at her.

"And don’t forget," Hannah added, pulling her hand back reluctantly. "You owe me a massage while I’m at it." Her tone was playful, but the glint in her eye suggested she fully intended to make good on the demand.

Kai shook his head fondly and stepped toward the closet, rifling through until he found a pair of shorts. As he turned back, holding them in front of himself, he noticed Hannah standing with her arms crossed, her gaze fixed on him with mischievous intent.

Her eyes swept over him boldly—starting from his face, trailing down his chest and abs, pausing a moment too long at his lower half before continuing to his strong, lean thighs.

Kai raised an eyebrow, smirking at her. "You’re inspecting me like I’m some kind of exhibit," he teased, slipping into the shorts deliberately slow, knowing full well she was watching.

Hannah shrugged, a playful smirk on her lips. "Well, can you blame me? You’re quite the sight," she said, her voice carrying a mix of teasing and genuine admiration.

Kai finished dressing, stepping closer until there was barely an inch between them. "Like what you see?" he asked, leaning in slightly, his tone a low rumble that sent a shiver down her spine.

Hannah’s blush deepened, but she refused to back down. "Maybe," she replied, tilting her head confidently. "But I’m not done with you yet, love."

Kai crouched down, pulling a sleek black bag from under the bed. "Pack us some clothes, love. Let’s make it easy and head straight to a hotel with Sofia after the beach. That way, we can dive right into vacation mode," he said, glancing at Hannah, who was eyeing him mischievously.

"I’ll just text Mia and let her know to look after the mansion when she gets back," Kai added, his voice casual as he unzipped the bag and set it on the bed.

Hannah tilted her head, tapping a finger thoughtfully on her chin, though her smirk betrayed her playful mood. "Hmm, not a bad idea," she said. "Especially since Alexander probably wouldn’t approve. But who cares? Let him sulk while we enjoy ourselves."

Kai chuckled, his tone firm yet carefree. "Exactly. We’re long overdue for some time to ourselves. No asking for permission this time."

Hannah rolled her eyes with a grin, already starting to pull clothes from the closet. "You’re right. He can stay mad—we’ve earned this," she said, tossing a few items onto the bed before glancing back at Kai.

Kai leaned against the wall, arms crossed, watching her with a small smile. "You know, you’re too good at this whole rebellious streak," he teased.

Hannah shot him a look, smirking. "Well, you bring out the best in me, darling."

As she continued packing, the mood in the room felt light and carefree, their shared excitement for the day ahead filling the air.
