Crushing the hobgoblin into the pavement, I felt its skull crushing beneath the pressure. I searched for loot before tossing the body aside. Walking up to the gym, I looked at the red message that popped up as I approached it.

I pressed ‘yes’ and the gymnasium doors flung open. Stepping inside, I was plunged into near pitch darkness. However, due to my high Sen and Perception stats, I could see nearly perfectly in the dark. I could also hear the skittering of the goblins all around me.
“Come at me! I’ll crush you all!”
Several goblins pounced at me, daggers stretched out. The weapons were deflected by my skin due to my high Defense. Screaming, the goblins tried to run away. However, I easily and casually crushed them into bloody paste with my bare hands.
“I would like to eventually face a challenge,” I muttered. Sighing, I walked deeper into the gym. Raising my fists, I punched the goblin I heard coming at me before it even appeared. Its body exploded like a water balloon, blood and gore splattering me. “If someone saw me right now, I’m sure I’d look terrifying due to the amount of blood on me.”
Scoffing at myself, I kept walking. But suddenly, my senses screamed danger at me. Dropping to the ground, I saw a bolt of purple and black energy streaking through the air above me. Searching the darkness, I couldn’t see anything with my superhumanly good eyesight. That’s when I finally realized that the darkness surrounding me had been getting darker as I got deeper into the building.
“Well, this is just perfect.”
Focusing on my other senses, I heard what sounded like that twang of a bowstring. Then there was the sound of an object piercing through the air. Reaching out, I caught an arrow in my hand. However, I now knew that there were archers in here that could see me. And that I couldn’t see them. Listening for the sounds of arrows firing, I continuously dodged projectiles as I ran deeper.
Eventually, I couldn’t even see my own hand in front of my face. Knowing that something must be hiding in this darkness, I readied myself to fight. But then, before I could react, another one of those purple and black bolts of energy struck me in the chest.

“Geez! What was that?!”
I also noticed that my HP had dropped by a few points, but since I had almost 5000 HP, it wasn’t much. Focusing my senses, I felt a slight sensation as another bolt came at me. Twisting my upper body, I watched the energy bolt pass by my face. Looking back in the direction it came from, I still couldn’t see anything. But I could slightly feel the presence of another creature.

Immediately, I felt my senses sharpening and my Perception increasing. Now, even with how dark it was, I could tell what was immediately around me. I still couldn’t see, but I no longer needed to while the Skill was active.
“What. Are. You?” A voice asked haltingly in a raspy voice.
“I’m Dexter Davenport. Someone who was superhuman even before this all happened.”
“So. You’re a. Blessed. Human. Or perhaps. One with. A bloodline?”
“Don’t know, don’t care. Since you’re most likely a monster, I’m gonna kill you now.”
“No. You’re not.”
Another bolt flew towards me, which I casually avoided. However, I felt something else and black chains wrapped around my arms and legs. They held me in place and every time I struggled, they just tightened. The voice began cackling and another energy bolt flew out and struck me.

I then activated [Body Enhancement] and [Ogre’s Strength], greatly increasing my physical strength. With the increase in stats, I was able to break free of the chains. Then, homing in on the creature I vaguely felt, I dashed forwards. Grabbing it, I put it into a chokehold and snapped its neck.

Which is exactly what I did. I spent 600 Points to buy all three Skills. Then, I opened the info pages for all three to study them.
