"What? No, you can't do this to me!" I screamed and kicked at my parents, whose eyes were brimming with tears. "It's for your good," they replied.
That was the last time I would ever hear their voice, before being forced to live in a closed-off area with the only light being let in to allow the morals-deprived scientists to watch and observe me like a lab rat. Years later, the only other human with morals entered my containment room. I somehow hadn't been driven to insanity.
“Uh, hi, I’m Elara, and you?” the weird creature introduced herself, tentatively holding out her hand and holding back tears. Weirded out by how nice she was being to me, I said my name once. I was not planning to repeat it. I'm unsure if that’s even my name, Charlotte Echo, or just a code those maniacs gave me. I didn't have my memories since they wiped every last memory I had. They took nearly everything from me. At least they gave me a journal to jot down my hatred for them.

“Alright, your new friend here has Pyrokinesis.''The maniac said.
Elara was young,15 years old to be exact, she didn't know the dangers of the world yet. We only had each other. I was seven years older than her. I knew this by looking at her profile, which I had stolen. I was shocked when I heard she had Pyrokinesis, the contrasting manipulation to mine, Hydrokinesis and Cryokinesis, and even a little… scared. However, that made me realise something, they put a girl with fire manipulation in a room that was ultra-hydrophobic. But they did mention that they were going to fire-proof this room and remove all flammable objects, they say they are the world’s most intelligent individuals, however, they completely forgot to remove the one most commonly known flammable object there is. Paper from my journal.
