The abandoned library of Ecleris was shrouded in silence. Seventeen-year-old Ikaris Kane walked through the dusty shelves, his fingers brushing against the cracked spines of ancient books. He often came here to read and reflect, away from the gaze of the other townspeople. But today, something strange caught his eye. On a hidden shelf at the back of the library, a deep blue stone seemed to glow with an ethereal light, almost alive.
Ikaris reached out and picked up the stone. As soon as his fingers touched it, a wave of energy surged through him, and visions flooded his mind. He saw complex mazes, mechanical traps, and shadowy creatures lurking within dungeons. A soft, mysterious voice whispered in his mind.
“Assimilation of Knowledge activated,” it murmured.

Ikaris opened his eyes, breathing heavily, his heart racing. It felt as though a veil had been lifted. Part of him now understood these visions, these mysterious mechanisms. He didn’t know exactly how, but something had changed.
Leaving the library, Ikaris ran into his childhood friend, Lyra Alven.
“Where have you been?” she asked, hands on her hips. “You know people think this library is cursed?”
He smiled, still shaken by what he had just experienced. “I found something… a strange stone. And I think it gave me… something.”
Lyra raised an eyebrow, puzzled. “What do you mean, something?”
Ikaris tried to explain what he had felt, but the words eluded him. Finally, he concluded, “I need to test it. There’s a dungeon on the outskirts of the town. Come with me.”
She stared at him, surprised. “Are you serious? A dungeon? For someone without any power? Are you trying to get yourself killed?”
But despite her hesitation, she agreed, unable to refuse a friend in need.
