So that's the end of book 1 of Dungeon Merchant. It's been an absolutely wild ride. And from the bottom of my heart, thank you. And you guys even helped support the story beyond just words. That's incredible.

Unfortunately, this is also a hiatus notice for Dungeon Merchant. For those that missed it, I cut my finger quite severely about three weeks ago and had to undergo a pretty long surgery to reattach a nerve. I'm still recovering, getting a bit stronger each day, but I was just told that the expected timeline for a full recovery is somewhere close to 6-12 months. (PS, if anyone here works in hand orthopedics, I'd love to talk to you.)

Worse was the fact that I decided to keep writing despite the injury. Some of the chapters, like the mid 30's, have atrocious spelling errors. That was me trying to use speech to text and failing horribly. I've also been typing up some of the chapters with a single hand. 0/10 would not recommend.

But more importantly, because I was spending so much time trying to push through the pain, I forgot to give enough time to think about the story. A lot of what I wrote post-surgery feels lower quality than I would have liked, and these small issues rolled together like a snowball. Now, at the end of book 1, it feels like I've exhausted my creative supply for Dungeon Merchant.

Tyr's Lil Note: For me The Dungeon Merchant has been a wild ride xD

Mostly between entering into the fic late, helping dot, editing, publishing on here/Patreon and college, I haven't managed to edit to a satisfactory for myself level :<

But! This time we will do better by using what we've learned from DM and apply it to our next fic, making it better than ever before, with worldbuilding to match! :P

We really really appreciate you all being here for us, and seeing you all here in the comments is the most awesome thing we could have ever asked for! =D

(Keep in mind that this story will be released for free only by the end of November in order for us to build backlog)

P.S. The new book is as of now yet unnamed, so if y'all have any ideas, we would love to hear them!
