CHAPTER 1: The Transferee
During Japanese class, I noticed everyone was acting weird. I mean, this is a highschool in rural Nagoya..
Emi's finger was tracing the covers of her textbook. "History of the Parallell"
It seemed like a logo. But I just deemed it as imagination.
While Shirakawa was confused and kept looking around.
"All Conspiracies" The textbook said.
But yet, something changed with Emi.
Her eyes had a spark of a curiosity fueled by slight whispers and rumors with slight movement.
Beside Emi, Zyech was fixing his uncentered tie, his lips attempting to hold a smile.
Before I knew it, I was called out.
"Eito! Stop spacing out and listen!"
"Sorry Hiro-sensei. "
He sighed, "Eito, recite Paragraph 1 to 2. "
"Huh.? Okay. "
"Why does it gotta be me. " I mutter to myself as I recite the paragraphs.
I glance at Shirakawa. She notices and slightly smiles, her hands resting beneath her chin, causing my voice to screech.
"Of course it had to, my voice had to do that, now Shirakawa thinks I'm some idiot. "
She let out a slight laugh as well.
"Ugh. " I sigh and continue.
"Finally, I'm done. "
Then Hiro-sensei continued and before I knew it, class was over.
I packed my bags and readied to go home.
Suddenly I hear footsteps and a girls voice talking to me.

"Shirakawa.? " I exclaim, I mean, it sounded like Shirakawa.
"Hey! Eito! Wanna join the Literature Club? " She rests her hands on my shoulders.
I thought, "She smells good.. "
"Eito! Are you there?!"
"Y-Yeah.. " I snap back to reality and told myself I could never be with her. This is just a simple act of persuasion.
"Anyway, wanna join the Literature club.? "
"Huh.? I don't really like books, though.. " I tell her.
Not accepting defeat, she says, "I'll do anything you ask! Anything! As long as you join the Literature Club!"
I thought about it and said, "Sorry, I don't think I can handle it. "
She started to tear up and say, "O-Okay.. If you ever change your mind, call me... this is my number. "
She then began walking away.
But, I couldn't accept the fact I made her cry. I want her to trust me and have faith in me.
I pull her arm and say, "I'll join. Sorry about earlier. "
"Really.? Yay! " She rushes and gets the club registration papers and tells me to fill it out.
I sigh as I get my pen and fill it out, I ask,
"So? How's it like being in the Literature club?"
She replies, "Well.. it's quite exciting. We have tea once we group together and play games. We even decorate during events.. "
"Hmm.. Sounds fun. " Showing no excitement, she says, "Atleast show some emotions! "
"Yeah, Yeah. " I look at her and smile.
I hand her the papers and she hurriedly grabs ahold of my hand I assume to take me to the club room.
As she took me there, I thought about how warm her hand was.
Her bag was swaying as she ran and the cold air hit me in the face causing me to get back to reality.
I whispered to myself, "I'd never have a chance with Shirakawa, haha. "
We arrived and she asked, "Hey.. what did you mean about earlier.? You said you'd never have a chance with me?"
"Huh.? You heard that.? " I thought to myself.
I couldnt stall any longer, so I said, "Huh.? I didn't say any such thing. "
"Must've been just me... " Her face showed disappointment.
She opened the clubroom door for me to see inside.
I took a peek to see how everything was bland. No decorations and there was only the two of us.
"I lied, this is still a startup club.. nobody is here yet except me and you. " She felt embarrassed and faced away. Her left hand holding her right.
"Huh.? It doesn't really matter. We can still make it better. " I assured her we could.
"Really.? I mean, I hope we can then.. " She still felt unsure, but I'd do anything to make her happy. Even if it costs everythting.
I was technically a new transfer student, so she toured me around the campus. Holding my hand in the process.
She showed me the Indoor gym, outdoor field and everything you imagined a school would have.
By the time we finished it was dark.
We took a stroll late at night to try and find a vending machine and a bench we could sit together and have a chat.
Luckily, we found exactly that in the park. Somehow, by luck — it had our favorite drinks. And perhaps we like the same?
She attempted to pay, — "Let me" I say, taking her coins and giving it back, paying for both in the process.
"Why'd I even do that..? I'm out of cash now.. " I thought.
She shyly replied, "Thats not fair you know.. "
"Consider this your first date with me."
I say embarrassed.
"Huh.? First date.? " She asks, flustered.
"Forget about it. " Flustered, I couldnt think.
"Oh.. Okay.. "
She looked so defenseless.. I just wanted to take her on already..
"Hey... Wanna — "
I pull her hand and pin her to the wall.
Telling her, "I like you, Shirakawa. "
Flustered, she replies, "Huh..? "
I loosen my grip to let her go and say, "Forget this happened, go home. "
She shouts, "L-Let's go out on the weekend.. "
I look at her and run to hug her, but she was ahead.
I agreed and we both walked home flustered, our fingers slowly creeped through and we ended up holding hands.
"I can't wait for Saturday... " I think to myself.
We both fantasized about what would happen in the future if we ever continued with our relationship.
