It took me about 8 hours to get to the capital. I paid the entrance fee and walked in. I decided since it was around midday I would first go to the acadamey and sign myself up for the entrance exam.

I got directions from one of the gaurds and walked until I got to the magic acadamey. It was off to the west side of the city and took me about a half hour walk from the southwest gate that I had entered from. This just goes to show you how big the city was.If I had to compare it I would say its probably the size of Manhattan but shaped as a circle. The Acadamey had a wall surrounding it with only one gate at the front, the eastern side of the acadamey, which had beautiful sculptures all around it. Walking in to the gate one can see the main lecture buildings to the front while the dorms and research buildings were on the right side and the left side had the training buildings and tournament stadium. I walked to the registration center they had set up infront of the lecture buildings and registered by giving my name and paying the fee of 2 silver coins. The registration worker, most likely a professor at the academy, told me that the exam would be held 2 weeks from today at sunrise. Looks like I have a lot of time to kill

For today I guess, I'll tour around the city and then find a nice inn to relax in for the next 2 weeks. I'll also check out the adventurer guild and maybe pick up some quests to get some money since I will run out soon. I started my tour in the west side because I was already here. The only places to see on the west side is the mage acadamey and the coloseum. The capital city has a big coloseum used for duels between nobles, gladiator fights and most importantly warrior and magic tournaments. The magic academy have their own mini coloseum but the normal public can't view the tournaments there and that is used for smaller level tournaments that are held more frequently. I walked towards the coloseum and paid the entrance fee at the front gate and then proceded to a seat about halfway up in the coloseum.

At the moment there are 2 gladiators fighting. They are both using longswords and a shields. They are about equal in skill which makes it a good fight but their overall strenght isn't that great. One of the gladiators is a lion beastman while the other is a tiger beastman. It seems the tiger is faster so he lands more hits on the lion but the lion has stronger attacks which hurt the tiger more even if there are less of them. The fight will probably come to a close soon. After I thought that I saw the tiger making a quick stab at the which he barely avoided. Then the lion who had lost his footing to evade the quick attack was kicked by the tiger making him fall over, and the fight was over. The tiger had cut off the lion's head as soon as he fell over. This is how the gladiator fights are, they fight to the death. The crowd all cheered loudly except for the ones who had bet money on the lion winning, they just hung their heads down.

Honestly, if this is the best gladiators this city has to offer then I am definitly dissapointed. I really hope they have some better ones but for now I guess I'll check out some other sites. I decided to head to the center city fountain that depicted a beautiful women with her arms spread out like a mother wanting to hug her child. This is a statue of the Goddess of water, Ezili. Supposedly she governs the water attribute, I don't know if she really exists and I'm not gonna believe in her until I see her. Regardless water wass shooting out of her hands upwards and then it fell back down into the small pool. This is a beautiful site that attracts yound couples and old people alike. After the fountain I head east towards the adventurer guild but I stop at a restauruant beforehand and eat a quick meal because I haven't eaten since morning and I was getting hungry. After eating I walked toward the adventurer guild while on the lookout for a good inn but I didnt find one. I guess I could ask the guild staff, mom said they alwasy help out adventurers. I finally arived at the adventurers guild after a long walk and stepped inside.

When I stepped inside, I saw the cliche environment. A lot of people are sitting at a restaurant looking section drinking alcohol on the left side, in the middle is a big board with paper all over it and on the right is a few tables with beautiful recptionists on it. All the people stared at me when I walked in to see who had come but most instantly lost interest when they a saw a kid. The ons that kept looking were the recptionists who all seemed bored out of their minds as nobody was at their tables as well as one yound girl who was sitting by herself. That one is definitely trouble. I ignored her and walked to the most beautiful receptionist who was sitting in the center.

"Hello, how can I help you?" She said. "Hi, I want to register as an adventurer." As soon as I said that, along with the girl that was already staring, a few more people started staring at me. Really, is this gonna be the cliche development. Whatever, if it happens I'll deal with it. "Okay, please just fill out this form" She said calmly while smiling and passing me a form. "Thank you."

I look at the form and its pretty simple. It goes name, age, specialty and extra skills. I wrote down my name and age but for specialty I wrote ranger/archer and for extra skills I wrote sword fighting skills. I didn't want to write everything about myself and I wrote ranger as my specialty so I can hang back and always have a good view of the whole fights in the case I join a party. I passed the form back to the receptionist. " Thank you, Just give me a few minutes and I will be right back." she said before walking away with the form.

As she walked away a couple guys walked up to me while clearly drunk. "Hey kid, you think you can be an adventurer?" the taller more built guy said. "Its harder than it looks brat" the shorter guy said. So it is happening after all. " Well considering you two dumbasses can do it, it can't be all that hard." I said back while smiling. "What the fuck did you just say brat" the taller guy said while reaching for his longsword while the shorter guy reached for his dagger. I turn to another recptionist and ask "Hey, if I end up killing them will I have any consequences?" she seemed suprised at first and then replied "You have pretty much already become an adventurer and the guild doesn't concern itself with fights among adventurers." Perfect! The two idiots heard what I asked and instantly drew their weapons and charged at me. I was about to draw my sword but since I said my specialty is archery I dre my bow instead and rapidly shot two arrows into their throats. The tall guy was hit first so he fell before the shorter guy but they both fell so quick that everybody else in the guild barely even saw what happened. I then put my bow away and waited for the receptionist to come back.

I stood next to the receptionist desk and waited while all the aventurers stared at me until the receptionist came back. As she walked back in she was shocked for a second because there is now 2 dead bodies on the floor that weren't their before. She puts a small plate infront of me and tells to put a drop of blood on it. It was a silver colored plate about the size of a phone. After I put my blood on it the recpetionist put my form over it and then used some sort of light magic after which the plate turns green and the form and my blood disappear while my information shows up engraved in the plate. "This is you adventurer plate. This can be used to grant free entry into cities and gets you discounts at all businesses related to the guild. It is also your identification so please try not to lose it. It is currently green, the lowest rank of F, the ranks go F,E,D,C,B,A and S while their respective colors are green, blue, red, bronze, silver, gold and black. Higher ranks grant you better privileges and better discounts so try to raise your rank quickly. You can increase your rank by succesfully completeing quests and you can take on quests 1 rank above your own. Do you have any questions?" she explained thouruoghly while trying to ignore the bodies on the ground. "Ah, just one, since I killed them do I have to clean up their bodies because I don't really want to do that?" she seemed extremely surprised that I said that but quickly brought back her businesslike friendly smile and said "We would appreciate it if you would clean up your mess otherwise somebody who cares about them will eventually come to take away their bodies but they might want to take revenge so it is up to you to choose."

"Okay, thanks." I replied and walked over towards the board while stepping over the dead bodies. I looked over the board for F and E rank quests. It seems all of the F rank ones are things like finding herbs and bringing them bakc while E rank quests were subjugation requests for goblins and wolves. I guess I'll go for those since I'm terrible at memorizing what certain herbs look like I'd probably bring back just regular grass. I walked back over to the recpetionist and asked if I could do both the goblin and wolf quests at the same time. "Yes, because those quests are ones that are always active so as long as you bring back a goblin's right ear or a wolf fang you can get paid for it." I said thanks and started to walk out of the guild.

As I exited the guild I felt people following me. It seems there are 4 right behind me and then one person behind them. I move towards a back alley which won't have many people and then wait for them to get there too. The 4 people came up and are surpirsed to see me calmly waiting for them but quickly decide it isn't a big deal.

"I'm guessing those were your friends I killed in there?" I asked with a smile on my face. I hate having to deal with troublesome things so I'll just get them to attack me and get rid of them quickly. "Yea, they were our party members and you just killed them, you fucking bastard!" one of the energetic ones yelled. "Well, considering they were so weak, their party members can't be that strong." as son as I said that they started attcking me. Once again I quickly pulled out my bow and killed the three ones running at me or atleat I tried to but one of them dodged it. I went to fire another arrow but the one that hung back used wind magic and shot it at me. They probably expected me to dodge it so the swordsman could attack me but instead I put my hand forward and just let the let the air magic hit me. It didn't do anything to me because it was so weak and I had wrapped mana around my hand to protect it just incase. They were both shocked by me just taking the magic to my hand. I quickly pulled my bow back up and shot two arrows killing them with the shocked looks still present on their eyes. I didn't drop my gaurd though and instead said, "Show yourself, I know you're there."

"How did you know, even my own master can't find me unless I want him to." the girl said as she walked out of the shadows. Its the same girl that was staring at me the entire time in the adventurer's guild from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. "Who are you nd why are you so interested in me?" I asked her

"I just don't understand why a man walking around with a bow, sword and dagger has so much mana. Infact its more mana than my master and I have never met someone with as much mana as him let alone one with more than him." she said while looking at me with suspision. Well looks like I ended up with some annoying shit on my hands. Fuck!
