With a deep sigh Vuthe stood in front of the portal, a slew of emotions running through her. Happiness, exhaustion, guilt, anxiety. It had taken her and her friends centuries to finally find a way to open it. The remainder of her Kingdom, the remainder of her army was assembled behind her. Five thousand men and women of all the different species though primarily her own kind, bruised, battered, and utterly exhausted. Next to her, her second in command and best friend Calagrophy looked at the portal with a difficult expression on her serene face. It didn’t seem to fit her, so different from her typically divine gold and white, unhurried look.
Vuthe could very well understand her friend's emotions. She felt like that as well. With a sigh she turned around to her charges.
„Today we finally found a way to escape this rotten world. A way to return from where we five once came,“ she spoke with a neutral voice, not much louder than normal volume, yet it reached everyone present in the ruins of her former capital. „This world we are going to is fundamentally different to your old one. There are things you will have never seen, wonders unlike anything you know, and dangers unlike the ones you are used to. This other world isn’t as barbaric as this one. It's a world in which the ones in power don’t reign by personal or military strength, but by political and monetary means. It's a world where all that you know will be tested and shifted upside down,“ she paused for a moment, to let it all sink in. The gravity of their situation. To let them prepare themselves.
„This world will be harsh for us. But it will be livable. Where we are right now is going to be in shambles soon enough. You all know the tales of my grandfather and what he can accomplish. You all know the destruction he can bring. And his sights are set on this world and its people. Soon this world will be nothing but a burning husk.“
She looked over the assembly. The last remnants of her kingdom, led by her and the other four from her own world, plus the three she had come to trust from other places. She had become the leader of the five reincarnators, Shade Dragon Vuthe de Thal, formerly known as Rin Savart. She was the Dragon Queen of Thelvadore, Conquerer of Satien, Goddess of the Shadow Armory, The Living Nightmare, the Saviour of Uterin. During her long life in this world she had aquired many titles, and gained the respect of many powerful people, despite her young appearance. Vuthe outwardly looked like a normal fifteen-year-old. The only thing that made her stand out were here glowing purple eyes, the jetblack hair, and her obsidian coloured dress, formed from her draconic scales. Those who knew her true appearance however knew the terror that she represented. Granddaughter of Ga’zeith de Thal, True God of Shadows, she was one of the exceedingly rare Shadow Dragons with an aura and magic power to match.
The second reincarnator was the Bringer of Light, Calagrophy de Thal, formerly known as Katarina Erin. She had become Vuthe's best friend and second in command, also earning a slew of titles and the respect of her troops. She was a good and fair leader, strict when necessary and friendly otherwise. Calagrophy dealt only in facts and put high value on fairness and honesty, which had made her a quick favorite of the people. She too looked rather young, around seventeen, but a good head taller than her queen. She had a similar appearance to Vuthe, but her colour scheme was different. Instead of Vuthes glowing purple eyes and jetblack hair she had golden Irises, and silver hair. Her scales were white, with golden accents, giving her a divine look. It was rather fitting for a direct descandent of the True Goddess of Light, Sha’gath de Thal. Calagrophy was a Light Dragon, a direct opposite element to Vuthe, yet because of that severel times weaker in actual magic strength. In turn she had the physical advantage.
Tizanta isk Thesekar was the last girl within the reincarnators. During her time in the army she had quickly become the head of the Information Network, mostly thanks to her high intellect, but also because of her draconic heritage. Reborn as an Astral Serpent with control over space and spatial magic, scrying places was as easy as waving a hand for her. She was strong enough to scry even shielded places mostly without being detected. Tizanta was an expert in hiding in plain sight. Her appearance alone was enough to distract most people, with her hair, eyes, and scales the colour of a deep nightsky filled with stars, and precisely because of that she had thrived in the field of shadow work she was best at. Nobody would assume the most obvious person in the room being a spy after all. Because of her work from the shadows style she had no titles to bear officially, but for Vuthe she was a close second after Calagrophy. Tizanta had never disclosed her former name, saying that she didn’t want to remember her time on earth and that she had no plans to return. Surprisingly enough however, when shit hit the fan she was the first to suggest them returning to their fromer homeworld.

The fourth member of their little circle was Castaphiel Umnelma, a member of a rather rare varient of Black Dragon. Unlike other Black Dragons that used acid, his kind was specialised in sleeping magic. He was a rather buff looking guy around twenty, yet despite his muscular appearance he was more often than not the voice of reason. His buff apperance was only underlined by his deep purple hair, pink irises and obsidian purple scales. It was an odd colourisation, yet it seemed oddly fitting to the big man with a big heart. He had taken to the role of General with a passion. Directly under Calagrophy, he was the second most well liked commander in the army.
The fifth and last member of their little group was Corellanium Constrozis, a pure blooded black dragon with high affinity for strategy. He wasn’t much of a fighter and looked even scrawnier than Tizanta, but he was an absolute mastermind at strategy. In his old life he had been a massive Strategy game geek and it showed. His actual combat prowess was nothing compared to the rest of the army, but he was instrumental in securing victories. He and Castaphiel had been brothers in their past life, called Blight Durr and Michael Durr respectively.
Outside of them three residents of this world finished up what Vuthe usually referred to as the ruling council. Well, technically two residents of this world and one from yet another world.
The first of this trio was a Cyborg Expert Sniper called Archangel. She was originally from a world called Amnellium Prime, but had some major run ins with their totalitarian regime and ended up being chased out. Out of all the members of the ruling council she had by far the most domineering appearance. While Tizanta stood out as the most pleasant to look at, Archangel was the most terrifying. At a height of over three meters, with over half of that being her legs, she was towering over others. Her legs especially looked strange. Archangel didn’t have any feet, instead her legs ended in vicious blades, a meter in length. That was only the second most obvious weapon she had however, the most prominent being the nearly four meter long rifle usually on her back. It was a special device so dangerous that it had been genetically locked so that only she could use it, back before she had left the Amnellium Army. Apart from those she was a walking arsenal of hidden weapons. Vuthe was pretty sure she could supply a small army and still had weapons to spare. The benefits of being nearly entirely machine.
Apocalyptica Impendium was by far the most bizarre member of the ruling council. He was one of the few Apocalypse Dragons, and it showed, even in his humanoid form. With a deep purple skin, black hair and eyes, and an eerie shifting purple colour for scales, which some described as dream coloured, he could only barely be described as looking human even in his humanoid form. His otherworldly beauty and strange speaking habits didn’t help either. While Archangel was the Hitman of the Council, he was the interrogator. Nearly nobody could keep their secrets in front of him. He had the strange ability to charm or throw people into pure madness with just a look of his strange eyes.
Last but not least there was Vixus Umbara, a shape changer and the jack of all trades of the group. They were by far the most versatile, with a skill range so massive that nobody knew their true capabilities. Nobody had ever seen their true appearance and lived to tell the tale, and not even Vuthe knew much about them, despite being their mother. She was certain of their loyaltiy however, they were her child after all. Usually they hid within Vuthe's Shadow, quite literally.
As Vuthe looked over her followers and friends a lot of memories came back to her. She had spent the last three millenia here, freeing the people of their oppression and mercilessly killing the nobles and royals. With a nod she looked at her charges and posed a simple question, „Who is willing to follow me and my friends into our old world?“
Immediatly every hand went up. Vuthe smiled to herself and saw a similar expression of the faces of those she considered her closest friends. With a signal she motioned to the portal, and she, the other council members, and then her army stepped through.
