“After the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, the world has transitioned from bipolarity to unipolarity, where the United States of America was the only superpower. After that in 2028, the world became bipolar again because China surpassed the GDP of the USA. However, for most of human history, multipolarity was the norm, and it became the norm again.
(But why does it have to be like that?)
Achaemenid Persia, The Mauryan Empire, Western Han, and The Roman Empire all coexisted for a certain amount of time until they were replaced by other superpowers. The British Empire, the French Empire, the Spanish Empire, The Russian Empire, The Ottoman Empire, and the superpowers that replaced them were themselves replaced by other superpowers. The East African-Ethiopian Federation, The Turkish-Egyptian Union, The People's Republic of China, The South Union of Europe, The North Union of Europe, The English United States, and many more. Again, and again, countries have and will wage war among themselves with the desire to protect or to subjugate. For God, for ideology, for money, for women, for the family, for the future, humans KILL and HATE. Because of fear and ignorance, humans KILL and HATE.
(But why does it have to be like that?)
Countries are not people so human morality cannot be applied to them.
In a conflict, countries can appear good or evil based on many criteria:
- How do they treat the prisoners of war?
- How do they treat their people?
- How do they treat the people that live on the lands won?
And many others. But if a country fails to appear good and looks evil, does that mean that the people that live in that country are also evil?
NO, IT DOES NOT.
The thing that makes a country evil or good is the government. Good leadership is what makes a good and functional society. There will always be a small percentage of humans that have the role to rule over the common people and make up the members of the government in a specific country, promising the masses prosperity. Yet, usually, the members of the government do not possess any type of skill or even desire to do good and can only lie and find a scapegoat when a problem arrives.
(But why does it have to be like that?)
WE, The Doulos-Theos, reject the ideas that have existed for all of humankind because we have overcome and overgrown the worst of human nature and kept only the best parts. While you all dehumanized yourselves, fighting each other like monkeys, we slowly humanized ourselves. WE earned our right to live and you lost it.”-Doulos-Theos soldier, aged 5.

In the year 2247, in the middle of an 8-year-old war (the bloodiest known conflict in history that is considered to be the fourth world war) between the major world powers (The People's Republic of China and The English United States), it has been decided that artificially enhanced humans will be created and used instead of war drones and normal soldiers as biological weapons to finally end the war. The decision was not controversial because once genetic engineering has advanced enough so that the likelihood of errors becomes vanishingly small, it becomes unethical to not remove genetic defects that could increase the probability of disease, early death, or lower quality of life. Although having a person be born only with the purpose to kill and conquer seemed like a cruel and irresponsible idea at the time, it becomes a necessary evil when you realize what is at stake.
In the second half of the 21st century and the 22nd-century war drones with advanced artificial intelligence, capable of making complex decisions on their own, dominated most battlefields because of their ability to kill fast and from large distances. This made them almost the perfect killing machine, being cheaper to produce and maintain than training and feeding flesh and blood soldiers, whose life would have been lost at just a gunshot at a vital organ, their only notable weakness being the high collateral damage created by their explosions and that war drones are effective only when one side can produce a higher number of them than the other side.
However, if a relatively small number of soldiers are fighting that does not mean that few lives are lost. In the first year of the war, there are approximations that about 31 million soldiers lost their lives, (The English United States and its allies - 9 million dead; The People's Republic of China - 22 million dead). In the fourth year, the death toll skyrocketed and reached 105 million (The English United States and its allies - 45 million dead; The People's Republic of China - 60 million dead), surpassing the number of people lost in the first and second world war combined (20 million + 75 million = 95 million) and the third world war (85 million).
Both sides were evenly matched and the war continued, for this reason, the economy of the world suffered greatly, and the world reached a state of poverty never before seen, causing massive protests on both sides.
Something had to be done.
The world was forced to use primarily humans as soldiers instead of machines for the first time in more than 100 years.
In the year 2152, 23 years after WW3, long before the fourth world war, The English United States, together with the help of its partners was the first to create a drug that physically enhanced soldiers making them capable of strength that far surpassed that of a normal human.
It took 2 years of development, 14 failed attempts, and an investment of if initially 25 trillion-dollar, for a working sample to be made. The project was funded by The English United States government and its allies. (The North Union of Europe, The South Union of Europe, Hispanic America, and The Indian Subcontinent) Thanks to its abilities the drug was named after the ancient Greek word for God, and its version number, becoming “Theos-15”.
Theos-15 was first tested on prisoners of war and then on volunteers. Initial testing suggested that the drug was capable of making the test subject capable of jumping long distances, running faster, lifting weights 70% to 80% heavier than before, and raising its concentration and intelligence. Still, Theos-15 came with massive drawbacks that would make it normally impractical to use on a large scale, the drug was effective only for a very short amount of time (2 hours usually) because it always killed the subject. After being administered to someone, the muscle of the examinee would outperform its natural limits, and after about 1,5 hours the muscles would receive permanent damage. Heart attacks were also inevitable because when the drug was injected into the blood of the patient, the heart was forced to beat much faster, resulting in the death of the experimental subject. As a result of this, it has been proposed that Theos-15 should be used as a last resort when one would expect to die anyway.
Nevertheless, further testing proved that surviving the adverse effects is possible if administered to a healthy person that vigorously trains all their muscle groups for at least 6 months before the administration of the first dose. Lifting a small car became possible for somebody that took special training at least 14 hours a day, every day, for as long as they took the drug. This way, the test subject could stay alive for a much longer period, (Many years, possibly decades) and the effect of Theos-15 lasted about 3 days.
Since the medicine was capable of enhancing not only the body but also the mind, the IQ of the examinee saw a rise of 30% to 40%, with the notable downside of making the examinee more aggressive and impulsive.
Thanks to genetic engineering the drug could be produced naturally within the human body, becoming a drug similar to normal endorphins.
