In the celestial expanse of heaven, the race of Angels had fully controlled the universe, or at least what they could access. The constant expansion of the universe had made travel between parts of it impossible, even for an advanced race such as the Angels.
The Angel's Sacred Text long told that Angels were the supreme leaders of the universe, being created by God as the balance beam keeping the universe in check. Despite the fact the entirety of the universe would be permanently unreachable, other organizations of Angels still stood as the Leaders of the now disconnected universe, becoming like unlinked chains.
But how did the Angels manage to live long enough to become the leader of everything? Did God grant them invincibility?
No.
The angels were almost akin to leeches, they lived off the life energy of the living.
Simple creatures, such as the microorganisms found on Earth gave very little life energy, so planets that had just birthed life would be void of angels.
Creatures with intelligence, even simple ones such as four-legged beasts who hunted purely on instinct, were slightly better. They could provide a few seconds of life to the Angels.
The Angels who weren't powerful & wouldn't further the race were sent to these planets. In Essence, they were expendable.
But how did the angels travel long distances of space?
Life Energy.
Life Energy acts like the electricity that powers machines; except it is much more versatile. And the Angels knew this due to the Sacred text. It taught them how to harness the collected Life Energy of organisms to pierce through space at many times the speed of light.
Usually, this shouldn't be possible. After all, the universe had a set limit of how fast anything could move at any time, and anything that broke this law would simply cease to exist. But by using the Life Energy, which if condensed hard enough could become its own separate reality, they were able to bypass the rules of their own existence. After all, the rules didn't apply to them because they were in a sub-dimension of the universe, basically a universe contained within another universe.
And with this, they had managed to control all the living organisms, or at least the ones they deemed valuable enough to protect.
High above the sun of a solar system, which contained advanced life, a Sub-dimension floated. The dimension was pitch black in nature: all the light that managed to bounce around into it vanished the moment it touched the surface. But inside this Sub-Dimension, beautiful grassy fields littered with the most beautiful flowers stood underneath a clear blue sky that seemed to stretch on forever. If a human were to find themselves here, they would describe it as Heaven.
Hundreds of meters underground from this grassy expanse was a chamber, white marble walls decorated with opal linings surrounded by stone pillars circulating the middle giving off the impression of Roman architecture. A round table rested in the middle where Councilmen were discussing something.

Murmurs spread like wildfire of a disturbance that toppled the delicate balance of existence.
Auriel, An angel with the rank of Dominions, the highest-ranking position under the purpose of fulfilling God's plan in the universe, spoke.
"It would appear," Auriel said with a slight shake in her voice,
"That a being of unparalleled power breached the barriers of our reality." She said, taking a pause. She looked around the room with burning golden eyes.
"Not a Deity, but a being empowered with the might of one."
The councilors exchanged apprehensive glances, their auras flickering in the shifting currents of celestial energy. Tensions had risen in an instant.
"Calm your Energies," Auriel said, referring to the outbreak of celestial energy,
"If this Being is powerful enough to break through the barriers God has created for us, it surely will also be able to easily sense the highly condensed celestial energy we all give off,"
Celestial energy was a super condensed form of life energy that only the most powerful of Angels were able to control.
If 100 four-legged beasts gave off enough Life Energy to fill a bottle, then a droplet of Celestial energy would be equivalent to 1,000 Bottles of Life Energy. Only the most intelligent of creatures would be able to give enough Life energy to condense into Celestial Energy.
The Councilmen, their expressions etched with a mix of consternation and awe, nodded in unison as they attempted to subdue their vibrant celestial energies
Auriel continued, her voice resonating with an undercurrent of urgency, "We must understand the nature of this breach. Our duties have always been to safeguard the delicate equilibrium of the universe and to ensure that no creature or force disrupts the sacred ecosystem set forth by the Almighty. If a being of such extraordinary power has found a way to infiltrate our reality, we must prepare ourselves for the potential consequences."
One of the council members, an important figure known as Seraphiel, whose rank was Virtues rose from his seat, his robes shimmering in a cascade of golden light. "Might this intruder be a force of malevolence, seeking to challenge the divine order? Or Possibly a messenger of a different reality trying to communicate? Or could it be a harbinger of a greater power, a divinity that transcends even our understanding?"
A murmur of agreement rippled through the assembly, their thoughts coalescing into a chorus of uncertainty.
"Silence your blasphemy" Auriel Snapped quickly. Immediately the chamber went dead silent. This was the power of a Dominions ranked angel.
In total, there were nine levels of power in the Hierarchy of angels.
Angels, Archangels, Principalities, Powers, Virtues, Dominions, Thrones, Cherubim, and finally the most powerful of all angels, Seraphim.
However, the last three ranks of angels had never existed within the Angel Society. In fact, their existence had never been seen by anyone ever, even the leader of the Angel Society. The only reason these ranks existed was because the Sacred Text talked about them.
Why was this?
Because the last three ranks' purpose was solely to contemplate and adore God.
The three ranks before that purpose was to fulfill God's plan in the universe.
Finally, the three ranks before that were to serve and interact with all living life forms closely.
So even though Auriel wasn't the sole leader, her rank far outmatched 99% of all angels everywhere.
