Divine Purpose

Prologue

I opened my eyes to a world unknown to me. A mysterious voice guided me through my fear. Driven by curiosity, I went outside. My view was lit by morning sunlight as I traversed the wilderness. My feet touched the cool grass and my eyes took in the sight of a vast hill. I ambled my way toward a lone oak tree that sat at the highest peak of the hill. I sunk to the ground and rested against the rough bark. My gaze fell upon the dim horizon that gain soft colors of oranges and pinks. For the first time, I silently watched the sun rise. A soft smile spread across my face. With this sight I knew, this world was where I would rather be.

Chapter 1 Divine Purpose

In an instantaneous moment, a universe is born. And from the mind of a being, they didn’t know; six gods were created in the vast emptiness of space. As the gods gained consciousness, they could not remember a thing, but a single pair of white glowing eyes fading away to nothing.

The six looked around at each other noticing they looked similar, apart from the garments they wore and a strange colored diamond on each of their chests.

“What are these Gems, these glowing diamonds on our chests?” they all thought and heard.

“Who said that and… how exactly are we talking and able to communicate.”

It took some time before they fully understood, but the gods could talk and think to each other. All of them thinking about ideas the others could understand, allowed them to process the existence they resided in, and in time they would give themselves names.

As to the question of where they resided Ariavora responded,

“I believe we are in space, and I think I am a part of it.”

And when they pondered, how are we moving? Juncture responded,

“I believe it is because of the flow of time and I am in control of it.”

The six were now curious as to each of their individual effects on the Universe. As the gods came to know their surroundings, they began to discover the powers with which they possessed.

“I have made something. I think. It’s strange. I think I’ll call it matter.” Fabrion excitedly told the others.

This matter was a strange combination of different particles that emerged from its hand. With its power, Fabrion created all kinds of vast elements, stars, and stardust. It loved to play around with this mystic substance, experimenting with fusion and fission creating molecules and compounds of all sorts. And they called it Creation.

“It’s… it's gone. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to. I just grabbed the planet you made, and it faded away. I am sorry.” Devestia spoke with a scared voice.

“Oh, that’s alright Devestia. It seems you are able to, umm, let’s say, destroy. You are able to destroy the matter I can make. How interesting.” Fabrion spoke as if intrigued.

Scared at what it had done Devestia vowed to not interfere with Fabrion’s creations unless it asked it to do so. And they called it Destruction.

When the last two gods Zealous and Arabian touched the matter, they had vastly different impacts on it. Zealous began to make some of the matter move faster, giving it what they called energy. It caused the particles to collide with each other breaking apart and scattering across space.

“Wow. Check it out. I can make those planets collide. And look, see how those rocks orbit that bigger rock.” Zealous Yelled across the universe.

And when Arabian touched the matter, it turned cold, motionless, and still as if it wasn’t experiencing time. They called it Order and were confused as to its purpose. Zealous found it boring and decided to liven up Arabian’s area of Planets igniting them with a fiery light. They called it Chaos and were concerned with its violence.

“What is this light?” they all pondered.

A byproduct of Zealous’s effect on matter allowing energy to move between all things. As the gods gained light vision, they clearly saw everything Fabrion had created. The vast stars, galaxies, and nebulas filled the universe, and it was beautiful.

Over many human centuries, the gods mastered their powers, learning about gravity and the ways matter interacted with each other. Eventually, Fabrion wondered if it could create something like itself. Something with consciousness. And in time it created a living cell.

To test their experiment, they created a solar system with planets that could support the fragile new creation they called Life. And so, a planet known as Oravia was eventually constructed. A masterpiece compared to the other experiments; it would be the place to house their most complicated version of life to date.

In this new land, the gods let life thrive and evolve over many years. The gods retreated into a plane of space known as The Gods Space, to watch their creation develop without any interference from themselves. Many years passed and what the gods saw was unpredictable. On Oravia, Life had evolved into intelligent creatures who called themselves Humans. The young new life grew very quickly from primitive species to modern intelligent beings. They discovered technologies, forms of communication, and many means of travel. It took no time for them to create societies all across the world. In the year 0, humans started a date and time system making the first calendar based on the seasons and rotation of the planet. All the while the gods watched.

May 28th Year 2,000

In time the gods decided to introduce themselves to the conscious humans to see how the mass population of 3 billion would react to their presence. To do so carefully they decided to first test a single human. And so, in a random town, on the continent of Hakan, Ariavora reached out of the Gods Space. The night sky filled with blue and a storm began to form. A local farmer of a small village quickly looks up when the sound of thunder struck his ears. A cracking built up and then a sudden quick bolt of lightning struck him. But no pain was felt. The area around him became walls of blue light as he was lifted into the sky and warped to a new realm.

The man stood there in the Gods Space quiet, puzzled, and then soon began to laugh. The six gods noticed a strange dark energy grab onto the human and proceed to corrupt his veins. A dark aura surrounds him and his shoulders catch on fire. A dark yet glowing purple flame. The man paused for a bit, then looked up at them and said in a low dark voice.

“Huh. Wow. Nice Vessel. You six. Watchers of suffering. My name is Rold. And with my new great power, I have been given a divine purpose."

Laughing violently the man was experiencing a kind of strength felt only by gods. The six, extremely confused, could only describe what they were seeing as corruption. Rold suddenly attacked the gods, sprinting at them with aggression in his eyes and a growl in his voice. The monster had gained abilities on par with the gods, being able to create powerful beams of light capable of harming them, and fields of energy to destort and bend reality. Rold quickly created a dark field of black air surrounding Devestia and Juncture sealing them off from the fight. He then lunged at the gods of chaos and order, striking them with fierce blows from his fists knocking them unconscious. Fabrion tried to create a vast array of weapons to attack Rold. Swords, axes, spears, and comets launched toward the running shadow but to no avail. The newly created shimmering great swords flew fast and struck Rold’s lighting-fast blur behind him. He was fast and smart dodging everything thrown at him and shielding himself when they did. Ariavora attempted to warp him away but was only quickly stunned by a sudden shockwave of force emitted from Rold’s chest. The Shockwaves shook the plane and Aria’s head went blank as it fell to the floor. Rold then turned to Fabrion, ran toward the angelic figure, and smashed its face to the ground. For a brief moment, there was silence.

He walked over to Ariavora, who was barely conscious, and demanded that it send him back to Oravia. Rold laughed as he spoke.

“You gods are weak. I will return to Oravia and claim what is rightfully mine. I will become the only ruler of this Universe, as is my birthright. Now send me back or I will end your existence.”

"Very well. But dont expect there to be no resistance from the other lifeforms. or us ourselves." Ariavora's celestial voice whispered.

The frozen god reluctantly opened a portal to Oravia, fearing the corrupted creature staring down over it. Juncture noticing this knew that Oravia was their only real accomplishment and vowed to protect it. It pushed itself through the smoke and broke free of the dark cage by reversing its own time. And just as Rold stepped through to the other side of the portal it reach out its hand and push Rold's back. A tree flash of mist covered Rold thus sending him 25 years into the future. Slightly relieved the gods Stood and healed themselves. A meeting of divine beings began over what to do now.

They now had 25 years to stop an evil being that all 6 of them together could not defeat. To preserve their creation the gods came up with a plan. They would create an army of 5,000 soldiers each with divine abilities and the capability to be stronger than Rold. The army would wait for him to arrive on a floating Island right where the portal would appear on Oravia. The island would be called the Sanctuary and would house the divine soldiers known as the Manaforms.

And this is where Eldria Brightwater comes in. Riding on a beam of light, falling from the reaches of space, heading toward a floating city in the sky to await an oncoming evil.

Eldria landed on the island with great force, leaving a small crater in the rock. Eldria immediately began scanning her area. She had landed by a large lone tree on a grassy field. She looked over the horizon. With a light wind, a flowing river, and a calm atmosphere Eldria could only stare at the beautiful site. Eldria stretched her arms upward, took in a deep breath, and let out a sigh of relief.

“Time to get to work.”
