'Hmm?'
'That's strange... I feel like I am floating...'
'I can't see anything...'
'And my body feels kind of round... Spherical maybe?'
'Now that's not right, I should be able to feel my arms and legs and head, right?'
'Now that I think about it, didn't somthing bad happen to me?'
'I definitely remember being human, and most of my life, but a lot of details are foggy...'
[// INITIALIZING: DC System//]
'!!! What is that! its like information is flowing into my mind!'
[//Initialization complete. DC System now availible to unnamed dungeon core PR3-725331-X23. Welcome!//]
'Umm hello? Can you hear me?'
[//Yes, the system can hear all thoughts directed to the system.//]
'Oh thats cool... so what are you?'
[//The Dungeon Core System, or 'DC System' for short. The DC System's purpose is to provide information and help to dungeon cores, allowing them to easily preform their functions.//]
'Is that what I am? A dungeon core?'
[//Correct. You are a dungeon core currently in the process of forming.//]
'OHHH... That sounds like it could be fun, what do you mean by form...'
[//Formation complete. Due to adequate intelligence, starting options are now availible.//]
'Options?'
[//Please select dungeon rank: {Easy / Medium / Hard / Advanced / Expert / legendary / Mythological / Divine}//]
'Woah woah, could I have some information first? What does rank affect?'
[//Rank affects your skills and abilities. Rank is a permanent choice.//]
'Ok, some clarification is needed. How does easy rank affect a dungeon?'
[//Easy dungeons have all but the most basic skills permanently locked. Can not spawn monsters stronger than the easy rank, can not host monsters stronger than the hard rank, and can not place traps above basic level.//]

'So a trash dungeon. How does the divine rank affect a dungeon?'
[//Divine dungeons have instant access to all dungeon skills and abilities. Can spawn and host monsters of any rank. Can design new monsters and spawn them. Can place any form of trap and structure. Can create laws for their dungeon.//]
'I choose divine rank.'
[//Choice confirmed. Please choose adventurer collection type: {Normal / Pain / Pleasure / Passive}//]
'Once again, some more clarification please, what is adventurer collection type?'
[//Dungeons grow in power in two ways, by absorbing mana from their surroundings, and from adventurers. The most common method, termed 'normal', requires the dungeon to kill the adventurer to obtain power from them. Pain requires the dungeon to inflict pain onto the dungeon. Pleasure requires the dungeon to give the adventurers a plesent time, this dungeon type is extreamly rare. And passive dungeons passivly absorb energy from adventurers and grow stronger.//]
This was a choice I had to stop and think about. I really wanted to choose the pleasure option, but if I made my dungeon wrong, I could just end up chasing people away... Pain was a no go and I didn't want to be a normal dungeon, so passive is my only option.
'I choose passive.'
[//Choice confirmed. Please choose a color for your core. Coloration has no affect other than look.//]
'Umm.... Blue?'
[//Choice confirmed. Please descibe your desired starting position.//]
'I suppose I want to be a ways away from civilization, not so far away as to never be found, but far enough to have a starting grace period. Also I want my entrance to be at the top of a mountain.'
[//Choice confirmed. Please select starting monster race: { all }//]
[//Choice confirmed. Set up complete. Prepare for dungeon core placement.//]
'That was odd... GAAAAHHHHH!!!'
----------------------------------------
When I came to I was in the middle of a room, approxamatly 5 meters square, the stone walls were of a blueish tint, and whats more... They were... apart of me. I must admit, having stone walls as a part of your being is disconcerning. I could FEEL them, and whats more I could SEE and HEAR through them. There is no good way to describe it in terms a human could understand.
In one wall is a staircase, also a part of me, that leads about 10 meters up to the surface. I am able to look out of my entrance. A quick look around is enough to confirm that I have indeed been placed on a mountain top, which seems to be snow free and has no peak and insted a small plateau. I assume that it is still morning, so that would mean that the mountain range I am in stretches from the Northeast to the Southwest. Directly east is forest, and to the west is hilly grass lands with an ocean in the distance. Beyond those details I can can confirm little else.
After taking stock of my current situation, I decide to get a hang of my current abilities, and to do that, I need to understand this 'mana' that the DC system had mentioned. It only took my a quick self search to locate my pool of mana within myself. Now I have no reference so I have no idea if my mana pool is large or small, but I can tell that the amount flowing in is tiny. It could take days to refill my pool if I empty it!
'Hey! DC system, how do I increase my mana regeneration rate?'
[//Regeneration is determaned by the surface area in your dungeon, more surface area equals more mana flowing in.//]
So kind of like the roots of a plant? Intresting concept. Well, first things first, more tunnels!
'How do I dig a tunnel?'
[//To preform an action, simply move your mana to the desired place and command it to preform the action.//]
That simple?
'MANA! Dig me a tunnel over there!'
