"Hey where the heck are we?"(Reporter dude)
"Oh my apologies. I am King Cornelius VI. Ruler of the kingdom of Cayor. We have summoned you heroes for your assistance against the fight for the freedom of humanity. Will you help us?"(King)
"Wait a minute you just summon us out of nowhere and ask for help without our opinion. We have our own lives back in our own world. Can you even get us back?"(Random dude with hat)
The king looked nervously at the man but a different bald man with white robes spoke up for him.
"I am sorry but that is not possible. We sincerely apologize but we have no way to return you back home. But it is rumored that the demon king has a mysterious artifact that is able to grant one wish. So if anything if you are able to defeat the demon king then you can use the artifact to wish yourselves back home."(bald guy)
"And how do you expect us to fight against the demon king? He has armies and most of us probably don't even know how to fight!"(Random dude with hat)
"Ah. That is not a problem. We will be training you along the way to get stronger in order to defeat the demon king. We will also award you with great riches if you succeed."(bald man)
"And who are you supposed to be? What do we do with the children that are here?"(Feisty Lady)
"My apologies I am the head priest of the church of the goddess Solene. As far as I can see none of the children are younger than 10 so I do believe that they are able to make their own choices on whether they want to help us or not."(Head priest)
The kids (about 5, ages around 13-17) being stupid that they are were excited about being in a fantasy world and fighting demons and becoming heroes. Some adults looked happy and others looked scared, frightened and a variety of other emotions were on their faces.
I personally was glad that I no longer had to go to prison.
"Now you will be sent to your quarters to rest and tomorrow we will take you to the temple to see what special abilities that you have."(Head Priest)
'Huh? Special abilities? Hm... this is a fantasy world.. maybe I can get cool powers like flying or maybe throwing fireballs.'
We were led to our rooms by the servants. Luckily for me the security guard reluctantly uncuffed me saying something about you better not cause trouble or something but I ignored him.
Turns out that everyone got a personal servant to tend to their needs. My maid was a cute brunette around the age of 16 I believe and I asked her to show me around the palace. When I asked for her name she looked shocked that a hero asked for the name of a lowly maid. After pestering her for a while I found out that her name was Sally. Looks like that this world really is stuck in the medieval age still has peasants or something.
The palace was huge. There were probably over a hundred rooms and the dining room was humongous. It could probably feed about 500 people. I visited the garden, kitchen, library (which was about the same size as a normal library. Also I wasn't able to read the language here) and practically all around the castle. The other people that were in the court room did whatever they wanted. Some explored the castle like I did and others just stayed in their rooms.
We were brought food in our rooms at dinner which consisted of a tasty bowl of soup, bread and some ham (I think).
Since I had nothing to do I asked the maid to teach me their language. It was really strange because although we spoke in a similar tongue our written languages were different. I feel like their language was kind of a mix with ancient greek and mandarin chinese.
At first the maid was surprised that a hero from another world didn't know how to read. Then I had to explain to her that we wrote in a different language in my world. She reluctantly agreed to teach me. By the end of the night I was able to memorize the 37 letter alphabet. 'She seems kind of cold to me... I wonder what I did.'
The next morning after breakfast we traveled to the temple which was about a mile away. We were also given new clothes so that we don't stand out in the crowd. I looked at the city and it was quite beautiful. Many of the large buildings were made out of marble and there were many kids happily playing out on the streets and many street vendors selling their goods.
When we reached the temple the head priest from yesterday told us to stand in a line and come up one by one to touch an orb. Once we did so the goddess will divine our status.
'Huh? Status? What is this an RPG game?'
The people in front were surprised and exclaimed what they got. Turns out that the status showed stats like strength and agility. Also each person had one or two special skills.
The head priest explained that the skills go from Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Godlike, and Unique.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
The higher the rank the stronger the skill is except for unique. As the rank implies, unique skills are skills that only the individual has. Not even the gods are able to attain this special skill.
Many of the people in front of me (about 50) got rare to legendary skills. The head priest was like "Hohoho... As expected of heroes."
The Random dude with the hat whose name is Arnold apparently got 2 legendary skills and 1 epic skill.
When it was finally my turn I touched the orb and it shined so bright that I had to close my eyes. When I opened them there was a status in front of my that showed me my stats.

Woah... what the hell???
I was at first trying to make sense of what my stats are like. So I asked the head priest. Looks like the average person has 10 in each stat and 100 HP and 100 MP... So I'm guess that I'm strong? I guess.
And my skills... they are kinda confusing... well I guess I'll figure it out later.
I also asked about my titles and he said I can view the description of my titles by simply saying it. He kind of glared at me like I was a bad guy for some reason...
