If I had known what was going to happen before I entered the cave I would never have entered however it was too late

2 Hours Earlier

I was in a deep coma-like sleep when I started hearing whispers in the darkness, taunting me saying "Join Us", "Become one with us" the whispers were getting louder and louder repeating like they were on a loop, I was already sweating profusely but then the whispers stopped then suddenly I was grabbed by my neck from nowhere I tried looking around but I saw nothing but darkness again then I heard at my ear "YOU WILL JOIN US*, I was shaking uncontrollably.

"up"

"Wake up!" I had heard a female voice but it didn't help as I had already drawn my great sword and knocked her over with my sword at her throat, it was now when I had started to gain my awareness back and was on top of Julia who had tears in her eyes and was shaking, James and Michael did try to stop me but I had already knocked them about 10ft away from me, I got up and pleaded to Julia saying im sorry, im sorry over and over again until she finally succumbed and said it was okay and that I didn't need to apologise again, however I knew better she had already had the scars torn deep into her heart and I had no way to release them.

Both Michael and James both had extreme glares at me probably with the intent to kill me, I said sorry to them but it didn't matter it felt like as soon as I was alone both of them would leap at me the first chance they get so I attempted to leave the group however as I was leaving Julia came up to me and stopped me.

"Don't leave, I know it wasn't your fault that it happened however I forgive you so please don't leave, also we still need to clear the dungeon out right?" said Julia with a worried expression she knew if I had left the cave would be x2 harder at least.

"Ok fine but I am truly sorry about what happened I really didn't mean it, but after we really do need to go our own paths because I feel if I am with you for any longer I really might hurt you and I do not wish that" he said as sincere as he can be, I glanced at Michael and he look at me in disgust as if I was a the bottom of the food chain and he was the at the top, the mightiest.

When everything seemed to calm down a bit I checked the perimeter around the camp and noticed there were a couple of red herbs which looked poisonous and put them into my pouch which was on my belt then headed back to camp, when I got back I noticed the tents we had were already packed away and the fire was put out after we ate we decided we would enter the cave.

"The quest says that at the deepest level of the cave there is a evil book in which we must burn to stop the Devil from returning into the mortal realm and causing complete Annihilation to all" Julia said smirking towards me but immediately because she knew I was looking at her.

"I swore I saw her smirking towards me" I said in a low breath so they didn't hear me but keeping close tabs on Michael and James.

"Now then who is going first" asked Michael who instantly glared at me, probably as a result of what happened earlier, although by accident really did hurt them so I took the initiative and went first.

The first thing I noticed was the floor had markers at the entrance almost like hieroglyphs which seemed weird because this was the first time I had seen them, as we got further into the cave we saw that walls and floor changed into a crimson red almost like blood gushing out I looked at Michael but he didn't even bat an eye at what he was seeing so maybe he's come here before?

There was no more light so we had to either cast a light spell or fireball but I chose neither and instead took some of the cloth I was sewing earlier put it in on a bit of stick and lit it alight now I can see more but I wish I really didn't as all we could see were dead bodies on the floor and skeletons which have been there for decades, I looked at Michael and James and they still were not fazed at all which could only mean they have a lot of experience with dead bodies or have been here before and this time I looked at Julia as well but as far I can tell she was scared and trembling. I turned around and looked ahead of me but little did I know that Julia was smiling behind me the entire time and I was too much of an idiot to know because of what happened earlier I had to let my guard down because I felt if I didn't they would all kill me at once.

I finally turned around again and asked a question, "Hey have you guys been here before? there are no monsters for some reason and you guys are not even flinching at the dead bodies/monsters or even the blood soaked walls?"

They knew there only option was to lie through their teeth and so they did, "Nope its my first time, I don't know where the monsters have gone though" said James looking anywhere but at me, James kept quiet he didn't even speak just nodded as in saying no which was just creepy if I must say, "I......I... I haven't b..been here before" said Julia frightened beyond help or so I thought.

The deeper the cave we went the worse the interior looks and the more dead bodies were piling up I was on the verge of vomiting but I managed to stop myself prior, I looked at the corner of my eyes at Michael who was now at the side of me but where I did there was an unexpected grin on his face? what does it mean I asked myself, but before I could ask any questions we had finally made it to the end of the cave and found a huge looking room with a chasm all around except there was a book in the middle of the cave on top of an alter but before we went there we looked around for traps of any of the sort there were none or so I thought because what happened next would be an unexpected turn of events and to this day I swore to my self I would find and kill all 3 burning there names into my memory and waiting for the time I would finally kill them....
