3 - Return to the Clan

The water in the lake rippled as Kaiser went in it the water to wash. His eyes show a pondering light. As of now, Kaiser was absolutely positive that Billy existed and everything, well at least most of what he said was a fact.

Once again looking at his reflection, a faint sigh escaped his mouth. He knew that he would start over cultivation from now on. Restarting with experience was a good thing. The only issue right now is how would he do it.

What was the plan?

After he scrubbed his body clean, did he climb up the lake and dried himself.

He took out clothes out of his Storage Belt which was the smallest clothes he had but still didn't quite fit to him right now. 10 minutes passed and he went on his way. As he walked past some grassy area, Kaiser found a suitable area and sat down, contemplating.

No matter how he tried, he can never find Billy in his consciousness. Was it something he could do? Or was it something that needed a requirement?

There was also the problem on his cultivation path. Billy never explained on how Demonic Cultivators cultivate their demonic power. After all, the method used to cultivate soul power lay in the world's Soul Energy. It can be absorbed by training mind through meditation.

Then how can i form demonic power? Would i need to meditate? Or is it something more special than that?

Sighing lightly he picked up a rock at the ground and exerted force from his hands. After grasping the rock for 3 seconds, Kaiser threw it out immediately. That rock, when he was a rank 60 soul practitioner, was nothing more sturdy than an egg. Even throwing it would make a huge explosion caused by the collision of the rock and the air.

He stayed in that place for a long time, contemplating about everything. He reached out a hand to his Storage Belt and brought out a pen and a paper. After writing something he used the sharp point in the end of the pen to pierce his index finger and dropped a blood. Using that blood he completed the insignia of Kaiser Ablides, the Clan Master of the Ablides Clan.

Finally standing, he advanced through the Forrest. He knew the way in so he would definitely find the way out.

He advanced like this in a slow rate. Even though he knew the way, He was still a rank 1 cultivator and this was still a Forrest. This Forrest has many poisonous bugs and snakes. He knew a lot about them because he studied Potion and Poison making before when he was the 30 year old Kaiser Ablides.

Meeting several poisonous bugs and snakes along the way, Kaiser still showed the experience gained from 30 years of cultivation. He avoided most of them and only killed when necessary.

After a while, he rested and took a ration from his Storage Belt and munched on it and also taking out a water container made out of glass and drank half of it's content.

Advancing again after awhile, he reached the end of the Forrest when the sun was about to set. He didn't know how much days was wasted when he fainted besides the Ancient Lair.

Looking at the setting sun, the sky was draped with it's orange color and every object in the surrounding reflected that orange light. It was truly stunning.

Kaiser strode forward and walked into a city with huge walls. These huge walls were guaranteed to be unbreakable for 50 or lower ranked cultivators.

"Halt!"

Turning his head he looked at the one that stopped him. It was a man wearing a dark blue armor who was also holding a glimmering spear. He was a guard of this city.

A amused smile appeared on Kaiser's face. I was previously the head of the Ablides Clan and as a medium sized clan we controlled a lot of land. This city here, Blue Light City, It was the base of operations of my Ablides Clan.

The Blue Light City which was the base of Ablides clan was only besides the gloomy Forrest. That gloomy Forrest was named after the city thus, it was called 'Blue Light Forrest'.

Seeing the smile from the 7 year old in front of him the guard frowned slightly. "You should pay the fee of 2 Silver bill."

The currency in this world was pretty similar to those of in the novels. 1 gold bill - 100 Silver Bills, 1 Silver Bill - 100 Bronze Bills.

Shaking his head, Kaiser handed a Gold Bill and the guard gave his change. Exactly 98 Silver Bills.

Walking in, Kaiser observed the familiar surroundings. This was his city, as it's lord shouldn't he be able to memorize the city itself? Of course!

His first destination was the clothe store. Opening the store, what greeted Kaiser was 2 beautifully dressed young women. Seeing a 7 year old come in the shop, both women naturally knew that this child, was not ordinary.

First of all, this store was the most stylish in the city. It also sells the most expensive ones in this city. Being able to come here alone when you're only a 7 year old clearly shows how rich you are. And Secondly, that beautiful weird blue eye.

The blue right eye paired with the normal black left eye made Kaiser's looks turn to a weirder side. That asymmetrical eye was weird but also quite alluring. The 2 young women directly came to a conclusion that this child, was a cultivator.

Even though cultivators were as many as the clouds, cultivators still can't outnumber regular humans. Not all humans had the gift and talent to train their soul power. Most humans would not exceed the rank 1 if they did not deliberately train.

Gazing at clothes displayed, Kaiser noticed a blue suit with gold trimmings. He immediately made the 2 women bring out a similar suit with his size.

Fitting the blue suit, He gazed at himself in the mirror. Kaiser Ablides has a blue-ish hair and handsome face. He wore a blue suit with gold trimmings and wore black shoes. He looked exactly liked this 23 years ago, well... except for that blue eye.

Touching the blue eye a idea immediately struck Kaiser's mind. He remembered how Billy had a eye patch over his right eye.

"Hey, do you sisters have any eye patch that will match with my suit?"

Jolted awake the 2 young women glanced at each other. They knew exactly on why this customer would buy a eye patch while having no injuries in the eye. It was to cover that weird blue eye.

Tap! Tap! Tap! One of them ran and after a minute she returned holding a eye patch which of a color black with gold trims. It also had a little blue gem embedded at the edge of it.

Glancing at the eye patch, Kaiser took it and tried it over his right eye. Staring again in the reflection of the mirror, a satisfied nod came from Kaiser.

"How much is it?"

The 2 young women looked at each other. Is this really a 7 year old child? Not even using honorifics to call older persons?

Both of them sighed and one of them answered.

"Customer, that suit and eye patch will cost you 58 Silver Bills."

Standing up and leaving behind exactly 58 Bills, Kaiser exited the store. He looked at his surroundings and remembered the scene that Billy showed him. Towering rocks... were those the buildings of Ancient Humans?

In actuality, All of the infrastructures on earth were destroyed during 'The Descent.' Those buildings that survived only includes underground bunkers and laboratories which are now collectively called 'Ancient Lair'.

He compared the buildings of his world and the Ancient world and the difference was too huge. In this world, glass was still not possible to be made sturdy enough to become the walls of a building.

Slowly walking around the city, Kaiser finally saw his destination. City Lord's mansion. The entrance to it was guarded by 6 dark blue armored guards. These guards were mostly around the rank 40 level.

Arriving in front of the gigantic gates, Kaiser only seemed to be an ant. The guards noticed this young master walking over the gate and they did not recognize him. A guard went up and asked the boy.

"Young man, what is your business in the city lord's mansion?"

The tone of the guard was neither offensive or respectful. Satisfied with the guards attitude he nodded slightly. He was a type of guy who never wanted to be looked down upon. He had the pride of a genius.

Reaching his hands into his storage belt, he took out a hexagonal badge and flashed it into the guard. The badge had some silver, gold, and some red jewels on it. It was pretty and is quite expensive.

Seeing the badge being flashed to his face, the guard was shocked. This badge was the highest badge of honor inside the city. It was the city lord's badge!

Why did this young lord have it? Who is he? What is his relationship with the city lord? Even though many questions ran throughout the guards mind, he still didn't ask them.

"My master sent me here to meet the Grand Elder!"

The guard bowed and gestured his hand to welcome the young man. After that he followed from behind.

Kaiser looked at his surroundings and saw the familiar garden. This garden was the place where he cultivated before. Sigh.

After passing the garden they also arrived at a pond and then the entrance of the mansion. Kaiser's mansion was, 3 stories high. The elders lived at the 2nd floor while his residence was at the top.

While entering the guard immediately informed a maid and the maid hastily ran up to the second floor. After some time, hastening footsteps were heard and the one leading them was a old man. It was the Grand Elder.

When the Grand Elder arrived, he scrutinized Kaiser. A flash of disdain was evident in his eyes. The clan master's student? Only rank 1 while 7 years old?! That's not even gonna garner the title slow! It can only be called trash!

To soul cultivators, the age when they would reach rank 2 determined their future prowess! Reaching it while a infant gains you the title 'monster', 1 year old 'genius', 2 years old 'talented', 3 years old 'advanced', 4 years old 'mediocre', 5 years old 'bad'. Those who awaken from 6 years old and onward are collectively called trash!

Kaiser, who was hailed as a genius, awakened on his first birthday!

While this was coursing through his mind, the Grand Elder suppressed his disdain and buried it in the depths of his heart. He was quite curious about this young man in front of him. Not every they would a young man come to the mansion and flash the badge of the city lord.

The Grand Elder made the guards and maids disperse while he guided Kaiser to a room. Once they entered the room, the young man immediately sat down and the Grand Elder followed suit.

"So, young man. Why do you seek me? And also why do you have the clan master's badge?"

The young man only smiled slightly before taking out a letter. Frowning slightly, the Grand Elder took the letter. The writing was extremely familiar because it was the writing of the clan master!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Grandfather,

You must push the plans because I was caught up into something. I will be adventuring the lands from now on so I can't be the clan master any longer. As to why I'm travelling? Well... the truth is, I never found the reason that for why I was born. Maybe by travelling would I come into a conclusion.

About this youth, He is a commoner which was saved by me when I am fighting some bandits. I saw myself in him so I made him my student in a whim. I gave him some money, enough for him to reach Blue Light City.

What I want you to do is to let this young man stay in the mansion until he breaks into the rank 21. His name is Franco. After he breaks into the rank 21, send him away and let him decide his path.

As for the clan, you must keep that Lightning Type Ancient Soul Relic a Secret.

Your Grandson,

Kaiser Ablides

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After reading the letter he tossed it aside and interlocked his fingers and entered a state of deep contemplation. After awhile he turned his eyes at Kaiser and nodded.

"As per the lord's order, You will be staying here until you breakthrough to the 21st rank."

Kaiser immediately stood up and bowed.

"Many thanks, Grand Elder!"

The Grand Elder stood up and left the room while calling in a maid. After hearing her orders, the maid hastily went and greeted Kaiser.

"Mr. Franco please allow me to show you your residence."

The maid executed a professional bow. Nodding his head, Kaiser followed the maid.

This was a restriction he put up to himself. No matter what, the outside world is too dangerous for a normal human.

After a few turns, the maid arrived at a wooden door and opened it. Inside was a room which was spacious and even had a bath. Satisfaction welled up inside of Kaiser. After thanking the maid, the maid left and Kaiser immediately went to the bed. He was exhausted.

He lay there with open eyes. After a while, his eyes seem to drift and he entered his dreams...

"Hey Kaiser! I forgot one detail!"

A familiar voice jolted Kaiser's consciousness awake. He was in the white room and a young man with a golden suit is floating in front of him. It was Billy.

"Hey! You listening? Anyway... we still can't communicate when your conscious. We can only do that after you reached the Second Eye Realm. There's also the fact that I can see everything you do outside."

Hearing this Kaiser was greatly alarmed. That means he never had the chance to scheme against this demon.

Snapping his fingers, Billy let out a purple orb of light float besides Kaiser.

"I approve of your decision about staying inside your clan. For now, were still too weak. Take that Imprint Orb and absorb the cultivation technique we demons use."

Kaiser stared at the floating purple orb besides him. Cultivation technique, huh? Don't mind if I do!

Grabbing it using his right hand, The purple light coursed through his veins and arrived to his blue right eye. The right eye radiated with purple flashes. Burns! It burns! It's painful as hell!

Holding nothing back, Kaiser knelt on the white floor and roared.

"AAAaargh!!"
