Today, I shall tell you a tale of a girl named Sabrina and her best friend, her shadow.
Sabrina was a shy little girl. She always had a smile on her face and a bounce in her step, so everyone who saw her thought she was a lovely, happy girl. Sabrina's mom passed away while she was still a little lass, so all she had was her dad and her little shadow friend. No one but Sabrina could see the little shadow and they always teased her for talking to herself and playing with an imaginary friend. But to her, they were crazy, as he was as clear as day.
She spent her days playing around the house, never wanting to go outside because no one was particularly nice to her or wanted to be friends with her. But she did not mind one bit, as she preferred being at home playing with Mister Shadow. Sabrina would spend all her hours playing hide and seek and fetch with her little friend, throwing her little ball around the house, waiting for it to come back to her like magic. Her friend was able to move things and play with her without even having to move. It always fascinated her how he knew magic.
One night, as Sabrina lay in bed ready to sleep, her dad came to tuck her in, as he did every day. But this night was different. After he left and she lay there crying, she could do nothing but sob. This was unusual for her friend, as she had never cried before when he was around.
Her little shadow friend crawled up the side of her bed and under her pillow, then under her blanket, and sat up in front of her, asking what was wrong and why she was crying. So she explained to him what her dad did and how much it hurt, and how all she wanted was for the pain to stop and for him to love her.
Her little shadow friend then grew in size, with a dark aura surrounding him. He looked at her and asked if she wanted him to make her laugh again, if she wanted nothing but smiles and for the pain to never come back. She looked up at him and replied with an affirmative nod, saying yes. He asked her if she wanted him to do that, if he could take all the pain away and make her heart feel nothing but happiness from now on. Again, she replied yes. He then asked her, "Are you sure?" And again, she replied yes.
Her friend lay down on top of her and embraced her, giving her a warm, loving hug. Her eyes started to feel heavy, and her body grew warm as he entered inside her, feeling her blanket fall down on top of her that her friend held up earlier with his big form. She closed her eyes with a tear still falling down her cheek and fell asleep with a smile on her face.
Three days later, she finally awoke, lying on the living room sofa, wondering how she had gotten there, as she clearly remembered going to sleep in her bed with her friend. She looked around, but her friend was nowhere to be seen, and she seemed to be all alone. A bit confused, she got to her feet and took a walk around the house, looking to see if her dad was around. She went to his room, knocked on the door, and without a second to spare, he opened the door, pale-faced. He looked down at her, asking if everything was okay.
She nodded and replied that she was just checking if he was home. He gave a small smile in return and told her to get ready for school. So off she went down the hall back to her room and dressed to go. She was all ready. On the way to school, there was an eerie silence in the car. Her dad did not make one peep the whole way. All he did was drive and look back at her in the little mirror without saying a word. Nervously, all she could do was sit in the back with her hands firmly entwined, wondering if she had done something bad, unable to make a sound.
As Sabrina arrived at school, her dad said he would pick her up after school at the same spot. She nodded and ran off to do her day at school.
Everything somehow felt different for Sabrina at school that day. She couldn't put her finger on why, but everything felt different—so horrifyingly different. As she walked down the halls past the classrooms, everyone passing her by would avoid looking at her. No one would make a peep when passing by her or even look in her direction. It was not at all how it normally was. Usually, they would bump into her and keep going as if nothing happened or tease her for having an imaginary friend. But not today. It seemed as if they were all scared of her for some reason.
During those three missing days, Sabrina went on with her life seemingly as normal, unaware that she was not in control of her own body. It was her shadow friend, Furfur, who had taken possession of her, living through her for that time. Furfur relished in the newfound power and control, using Sabrina's body as a vessel for his dark intentions.

At home, the once gentle and innocent Sabrina transformed into a monstrous form when her father attempted to touch her as she slept. Her face contorted into a terrifying visage, sending chills down her father's spine. The mere sight of her struck him with such horror that he could do nothing but retreat, hiding away in his room, terrified to his very soul.
Similarly, at school, those who had bullied Sabrina in the past now faced a gruesome fate. When they crossed paths with her, she spoke to them in a deep, cruel voice, whispering into their ears. The details of what she said remained a mystery, but the horrifying images that filled their minds were enough to leave them paralyzed with fear. The demon within her unleashed a torrent of terror upon them, ensuring they would never dare to look at her again.
Whispers spread throughout the school, and the once-bold tormentors now trembled at the mere mention of Sabrina's name. The fear in their eyes was evident, though they dared not speak of the unspeakable horrors they had experienced. The school became an eerie place, shrouded in silence and avoidance whenever Sabrina was near.
As the days passed, Sabrina remained oblivious to the true nature of the events unfolding around her. Unaware of the darkness that now dwelled within her, she carried on, oblivious to the fear she instilled in others.
Now we return to Sabrina at school. She went to her class, still perplexed by the odd behavior of everyone around her. She sat at her desk, absentmindedly playing with her pencil while listening to the teacher's lesson.
Suddenly, to her delight, the pencil stood upright, balancing only on its tip and twirling in circles before her very eyes. Sabrina's smile grew wide, believing that her friend had returned and was still with her. She embraced the notion, unaware that he had been inside her all along.
In the past, he had only walked beside her or hidden within her shadow, but now he resided within her very being. When he spoke to her, it felt as if she were hearing her own thoughts. He explained to her that he had moved inside her and asked if she minded. Of course, she denied any objections, expressing her joy that he hadn't left her. She didn't mind at all that he now slumbered inside her, finding solace in his presence.
As she reveled in the spinning pencil, she noticed the girl sitting next to her at the small table on her right. The girl had witnessed the pencil's movement, and Sabrina, thinking that she was impressed and happy, smiled at her, hoping to make a new friend who believed in her.
However, the girl's reaction was quite different. She already knew that Sabrina harbored something sinister within her, and witnessing the pencil move on its own froze her in horror. It was this very horror that kept her from looking away, even though Sabrina misunderstood her expression as one of awe and admiration, not comprehending the girl's true thoughts.
As Sabrina continued her day at school, unaware of the true nature of her possession, she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was amiss. Whispers and glances followed her wherever she went, leaving her with a growing sense of unease. Her attempts to make new friends were met with hesitation and avoidance. It seemed that the horrifying reputation she unknowingly acquired had spread throughout the school.
During lunch break, Sabrina found herself sitting alone at a corner table, observing her classmates as they chatted and laughed with one another. The weight of loneliness pressed heavily upon her.
Just as she resigned herself to another solitary lunch, a voice startled her from behind. "Mind if I join you?" It was Emily, a kind-hearted girl who had always been friendly to Sabrina, despite the rumors that circulated about her.
Sabrina's eyes widened with surprise and a glimmer of hope. She nodded eagerly, her heart swelling with gratitude for the unexpected companionship. As Emily sat down, a genuine smile on her face, Sabrina couldn't help but wonder what made her different from the others.
Over sandwiches and shared laughter, Sabrina confided in Emily about the strange occurrences in her life. She spoke of her mysterious shadow friend, Furfur, and how he entered her to protect her. To her astonishment, Emily listened intently, displaying empathy rather than judgment.
"I've always believed in the extraordinary," Emily said softly, her eyes filled with compassion. "Sometimes, there is more to people than what meets the eye. And I believe in you, Sabrina."
The weight of isolation lifted from Sabrina's shoulders as she found solace in Emily's unwavering support. For the first time in a long while, she felt a glimmer of hope that she wasn't alone in this tumultuous journey.
With Emily by her side, Sabrina resolved to confront the sadness within her and search for a way to overcome her loneliness.
Sabrina wanted to impress her friend Emily and show her how fun her shadow friend could be. Excitedly, she asked Furfur to do something amazing to showcase his powers. Furfur, always eager to oblige, directed Sabrina's attention to a group of people laughing and playing nearby.
With anticipation in her eyes, Sabrina turned to Emily and told her to look over there, eagerly waiting to see what Furfur would do. Suddenly, Furfur's dark presence took hold, and he lifted one of the boys from the group into the air. The boy's screams filled the air as his friends watched in astonishment. It appeared as if an invisible force had seized him by the arm, hoisting him high above the ground, only to let him fall back to his feet.
Sabrina beamed with delight and giggled, turning to Emily, and exclaiming how cool it was. However, unbeknownst to Sabrina, Emily's reaction was quite different. Deep inside, she was horrified by the display of power, but she masked her true emotions, not wanting to alarm or upset her friend.
