Job Hunter Abel

Job Hunter Abel

CHAPTER - 4

Job Hunter Abel

“Get out of here!” An old woman shouted at Abel at the port door.

“But! But I need a job-!”

*Bam!*

The old woman slams the door.

“Ugh!”

Abel was frustrated. He keeps asking for a job, but he always gets turned down.

Hmmm, what should I do?

He looked around in his surroundings. Thinking of an idea.

What should I do? Come on! Think Abel! Think!

He saw a fisherman minding his own business. Then an idea pops into his head.

Right fishing! I can get a boat then a fish to sell! But before that though.

Abel looked at the boat.

Meanwhile...

“Hey isn’t that the Lord’s son?”

One of the fishermen who wore a green plain shirt pointed to Abel.

“Yeah, he is.”

A fisherman who wore a straw hat and a red shirt replied.

“He might take our jobs away, we need to do something.”

Said the fishermen who wore a yellow shirt. The fishermen with a straw hat smiled.

“I know what to do.”

He said while having a scheming plan in his mind.

Back to Abel.

“Alright!”

Abel looked at the supplies and the boat he rented.

It had:

-water

-snacks

-fishing bait

-fishing pole

“Time to go fishing!”

Abel jumped to the boat and swam to the sea.

He is excited. He is confident that he will gain money. After all, he is part of the Von Échestel family. He knows most of the fish in this area because he read a book in the Von Échestel house library.

1 hour later.

“Ugh! I haven’t got any fish!”

Abel was annoyed. An hour has passed but he hasn't gotten a single fish.

“Ahhh!”

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Abel screamed.

“Let's go back.”

He needed rest from this stress. He went back to the port and docked his boat near the pier.

“Hey, kid!” A fisherman who wore a straw hat and a red shirt waved at him.

“Oh! Hello!”

The fishermen ran to him.

“Let me guess. You didn’t get any fish kiddo?”

“Y-yeah.” Abel sighs.

“Sucks to be you kid, but everyone here knows why.”

“Wait! Really?”

“You didn’t get the news?”

“Ah.”

Abel scratches the back of his head and chuckles.

Why is it that the younger children in a noble family always get the worst treatment?!

“No, recommend not to mess, Abel replied.

“Well, you are a lucky kid because someone is going to help ya!”

Abel's eyes shine brightly. He began to feel hope.

“Well, you see kid. There is a new species that has been discovered.”

“W-wait!?!”

“Yep! It's very valuable. It’s migrating to this area and fishes got scared the hell out of it.”

“T-then how do we?”

The fishermen grab something in his pocket. It was a map. He opened it and pointed something.

“Here kid.”

“Oh! I see.”

“No one is fishing for now so how about do it right now!”

“Thank you so much!”

Abel ran back to the boat and waved back to the fishermen.

“Good luck out there kiddo!” The fishermen waved back.

Abel jumped to the boat and went to the sea.

“Yes! I can get money!”

Where are the fishes?

He looked to the sea trying to find a single fish. He followed the map where the fishermen pointed at, and yet he didn’t find one.

“Oh well. Let's go back.”

Before he sailed back to port, he heard waves and thunder. He looked up. He was going inside to the storm.

Cursed Island.

He began to panic and used all of his strength to try to get away from it.

When he was in the library he found a book named Cursed Island. He used his skill on it and read because he got interested. Long ago, the Cursed Island was peaceful. Until suddenly, it was filled with strong storms. Sea monsters began to appear slowly and slowly. He started panicking and losing his cool.

He held tight on his boat. The storm was powerful with strong waves. Somehow, the rope to the anchor unties. Abel quickly held on to the rope.

“Ugh!” He grunted. He is trying to tie the rope tightly while holding on to the boat.

A lightning strike came down from the skies.

I need to tie this quickly!

He quickly tied the rope to the anchor while struggling.

Now I need to get out of here!

He held the boat tightly. He then saw a big wave coming to him. Inside of the big wave, he saw a monster. A huge silhouette of a sea monster coming to him. He was horrified to see such a creature this big. At that moment he was too scared to move.

‘Of all places! Why now?! Why me!? I just wanted to go fishing! What did I do wro-!?’

The sea monster struck the boat with its tail.

“Ugh!”

He fell to the sea and his vision became black.

...

Abel was sleeping on the beach.

He woke up and opened his eyes slowly. Seeing the blue sky and white clouds. He then suddenly had a painful headache.

“Ugh!”

He moved his right hand to his left eye to endure the pain. The headache then fades away. He moved his hand away from his face. Then his realization comes in.

Is this sand?

He quickly stood up. Looking around in his surroundings. He was on an island in the middle of the ocean surrounded by storms.

“What the. Where am I?”

He closed his eyes while covering his hands to his face. Trying to remember what happened.

So that happened.

He moved his hands away from his face. He looked at the storms that surrounded the island.

Why isn’t it raining?

He looked confused.

“What the fuck is happening.”
